Energy Drink Ratings Explained

Endorush Orange Fix Energy Drink Review
Well first off this is the second review I have done on Endorush. The first review was done on the Fruit Punch flavor. Here is a little background on Endorush if you have not already read the first review (if you have skip to the good stuff below). This drink is marketed in the Hardcore Energy Drink segment as this aint your typical Monster Energy Drink. Endorush is made by BSN which also offers thermogenic fat burners, creatine and other performance based products. That being said, this beverage is not for the typical user, it is more for the Gym rat or performance athlete. Endorush goes for about $3.99 a bottle. Seems steep at first but you have to realize that it will give you up to 4 servings (16 ounces). Since this is more of a performance based drink I will drink half before my workout and half later on in the day. So let's start the review.

Endorush Orange Fix Energy Drink Review: Taste
Orange Fix basically has a pretty potent tasting orange flavor. There is a slight medicinal after taste to this flavor but they do pack in a lot of energy ingredients so I can see why. The orange flavor is not bad and is something you can get used to but I preferred there Fruit Punch Mix. But taste is subjective so you may like the orange flavor. Either the taste was decent. Taste Rating - 7.7

Endorush Orange Fix Energy Drink Review: Kick
Well having tried Endorush before I was fully aware of what to expect in the kick category. This beverage has 4 serving which contain 85 milligrams of caffeine each (340 milligrams of caffeine for the entire bottle) which is why I drank half before the workout and half later. Basically the kick is phenomenal. Having no sugar at all means that I experienced no crash after consuming. Another plus. The kick is phenomenal and this is definitely one of the strongest energy drinks on the market. Kick Rating - 10

Endorush Orange Fix Energy Drink Review: Final Judgment
Pretty good tasting hardcore energy drink. No crash. Just remember there is a quite a bit of caffeine in here so if you are not used to that amount of caffeine take one serving at a time. Cost is not too bad either- $3.99 for 4 serving ($1.00 per serving). I still like the fruit punch flavor better but overall this is still a strong performer! Final Judgment - 9.0

1 in 3 Trinity Energy Drink Review

1 in # Trinity Energy Drink
Cost: $2.00
Cost Per Ounce:$0.24
Active Ingredients:Caffeine, Taurine, B-Vitamins, Ginseng
Taste Rating:8.8
Kick Rating:7.5
Final Judgment Rating:6.5
Energy Drink Ratings Explained

1 in 3 Trinity Energy Drink Review
Well we have another first for the Energy Drink Ratings Blog. Today I will review the first (to my knowledge) Christian energy drink. This product is being marketed by 1 in 3 Trinity a faith inspired clothing company. So instead of marketing on a hardcore message like the Cocaine Energy Drink, the 1in3 Trinity Energy drink takes a faith based approach. The 8.4 ounce (250 ml) slim line can is littered with whole-hearted words such as; joy, faithfulness, goodness, etc and costs about $2.00. I am going to stay out of the political and religious realm of this drink and just do a review based on the actual merits of 1 in 3 Trinity as an energy drink. If you don't like it, feel free to comment.

1 in 3 Trinity Energy Drink Review: Taste
First off this 8.4 ounce can only has 10 calories. Second the flavor is a lightly carbonated grape that I enjoyed. It is seems really similar to a diet grape soft drink. So if you like grape soda you should have no problem enjoying a 1in3 Trinity Energy Drink. An interesting tid bit of the can states that 1 in 3 Trinity is a special blend from the flourishing vines and trees of the holly land. Whether that means the flavor comes from grapes imported from the Holy Land I am not sure? I am also not sure if they have any other flavors ready for the lineup, this is the only one I know of right now. If they do introduce any other flavors I will let you know. Taste Rating - 8.8

1 in 3 Trinity Energy Drink Review: Kick
This is being marketed as an energy drink but the fact is that it only has 50 milligrams of caffeine (Red Bull has 80 milligrams) combined with 1000 milligrams of taurine, a plethora of B-Vitamins and Ginseng. So no, it is definitely not the strongest drink on the market, its actually not even close, but it does deliver a small kick. Kick Rating - 6.5

1 in 3 Trinity Energy Drink Review: Final Judgment
Well 1 in 3 Trinity seems to be going for a niche faith based market with their newest energy drink. This audience could be rather large so they might even have some success or gather a large following with the right promotions. As far as becoming a mainstream energy drink I don't see this happening as the kick was sub par. However, I did enjoy the grape flavor! The only place I know of to buy these is on their website. You can pick up a 12 pack for $24.00 or a case for $48.00. Final Judgment - 7.5

Cintron Citrus Mango Energy Drink Review

Cintron Energy Drink
Cost: $1.99
Cost Per Ounce:$0.13
Active Ingredients:Taurine, B-Vitamins
Taste Rating:9.0
Kick Rating:8.5
Final Judgment Rating:8.8
Energy Drink Ratings Explained

Cintron Citrus Mango Energy Drink Review
Well I have reviewed the sugar free Cintron Citrus Mango energy drink and was quite pleased with the original flavor and the taste. If you did not read the last review then I just want to highlight one of the unique aspects of this 16 ounce can. It comes with a plastic top. That's right, this can is resealable which is pretty neat. So if you want to save some for later you can. You can even knock it over and there will be no spills! One other thing to point out about all Cintron energy drinks is that they do not use high fructose corn syrup which is good if you are looking for a healthier energy drink.

Cintron Citrus Mango Energy Drink Review: Taste
Well the taste of the sugar free citrus mango was very good and the original tastes even better! The citrus mango blend is quite unique and adds an original flavor to the energy drink market without any medicinal aftertaste. I have yet to taste an energy drink (after 120 + reviews) that has this unique blend of mango and citrus flavors. The taste is unique and I think it would make for a pretty good mixer in a summer cocktail. You could even drink a quarter of the energy drink by itself, mix in your favorite alcohol, put the top on and shake it up. Kind of like your own personal mixer! Taste Rating - 9.0

Cintron Citrus Mango Energy Drink Review: Kick
There was no mention of how much caffeine is in the Cintron Citrus Mango energy drink but there is a plethora of B-Vitamins and Taurine! Basically the kick was a little above average. Not one of the Strongest Energy
Drinks
on the market but definitely worth a try just for the unique taste. No crash after finishing this one. Kick Rating 8.5

Cintron Citrus Mango Energy Drink Review: Final Judgment
The unique flavor is the highlight of this drink while the kick is a little above average. The taste and kick were both good but overall I liked the sugar free version better as it had fewer calories. A 16 ounce (regular) citrus mango has 220 calories. Which when compared to other energy drinks is average. But at least they give you the sugar free option! If you can find it I recommend giving it a try! Final Judgment 8.8!

Jimi Hendrix Liquid Experience Energy Drink Review

Vodoo Vibe Energy Drink
Cost: $2.49 - $2.99
Cost Per Ounce:$0.16 - $0.19
Active Ingredients:Caffeine, Taurine
Taste Rating:8.8
Kick Rating:8.7
Final Judgment Rating:8.7
Energy Drink Ratings Explained

Jimi Hendrix Energy Drink Review - Vodoo Vibe
Beverage Concepts, based in California has come out with the Jimi Hendrix Energy Drink called Vodoo Vibe. The Jimi Hendrix Liquid Experience line takes its name from Hendrix's 1967 album - Are You Experienced (which is great by the way). Although Hendrix died over 35 years ago (1970) he still manages to sell about 600,000 albums per year (in which I have contributed to that number). Not too shabby! Well the creation of this new drink seems to have outraged fans. Even though I am a fan of one of the greatest guitarists of all time, I am going to stay out of the debate on whether or not using Jimi's image to sell a product cheapens advertising and just review the energy drink.

Jimi Hendrix Energy Drink Review - Vodoo Vibe: Taste
Well first off this Jimi Hendrix energy drink, Vodoo Vibe, has a very light berry taste to it which is actually really refreshing. It was quite easy to finish off all 16 ounces as the mixed berry taste went down quite well. Now I reviewed Vodoo Vibe in the can but they also have it available in limited edition 16 ounce commemorative bottles for about $2.99 compared to the $2.49 for the 16 ounce can. The bottle actually looks pretty cool. Although this is the first flavor in the Jimi Hendrix Energy Drink lineup, there will be others. And for fun I thought I would make up some names and flavors. Feel free to add your own names and flavors as well. How about a lemon flavor called - Electric Lemon Land, or a passion fruit flavor called Purple Passion? Taste Rating - 8.8

Jimi Hendrix Energy Drink Review - Vodoo Vibe: Kick
Well the berry taste was pretty refreshing and the energy from Vodoo Vibe was pretty good as well. I have no idea how much caffeine is in the actual drink, but if any one knows feel free to post a comment so I can add it to the review. It didn't make me bounce off walls or send me into a Manic Depression as I still knew that I was on the Third Stone from the Sun, but overall I did enjoy the kick I got. This drink would make for a great study helper if you needed an all night cram session or had to stay up late for a Burning of the Midnight Lamp! Kick Rating - 8.7

Jimi Hendrix Energy Drink Review: Final Judgment
Well the taste and kick are both pretty good. The price is the only thing that really needs any work. The MSRP looks like it will be any where from $2.49 - to $2.99. However, I did see that you can buy a case of this on their site for about $48.00 which would bring the cost down to $2.00 a can which would be much more competitive with the rest of the market. Final Judgment - 8.7

Wired X-344 Energy Drink Review

Wired X-344
Cost: $2.00 - $48.00
Cost Per Ounce:$0.13
Active Ingredients:Caffeine, Taurine, B-Vitamins
Taste Rating:8.7
Kick Rating:10
Final Judgment Rating:9.6
Energy Drink Ratings Explained

Wired X344 Energy Drink Review
Well I have done several reviews on the Wired Energy Drink Line. My first encounter with the Wired Drinks was when I got my hands on their X-294. My jaw dropped as X-294 contained 294 milligrams of caffeine which was unheard of at the time as their were no Cocaine or Spike Shooters around. Well looks like Wired has pushed the envelope a little further as X-294 was replaced with the X-344. So yeah 344 milligrams of caffeine in 16 ounces. Im pumped (and looking forward to being pumped). Read on for the entire review of X-344!

Buy Wired Energy Drinks Here

Enter the Wired Crackdown Sweepstakes

Wired X344 Energy Drink Review: Taste
Well you can already tell I am pumped about reviewing this product so lets see how the taste compares to the rest of the Energy Drinks out there. I cracked the can and took my first gulp. Yup, its citrus based alright. The citrus flavor is really quite good; however, there is a slight downfall as you just get a hint of medicinal aftertaste. Now it's not as bad as the aftertaste you get with let's say a Red Bull, but you can tell. Even with the slight aftertaste the citrus flavor still goes down good. Also it seems like it is an improvement over the X-294. Taste Rating - 8.7

Wired X344 Energy Drink Review: Kick
Well the citrus taste is pretty good with the exception of a slight aftertaste. But what do you expect when you throw in a ton of energy ingredients? First of as I have already mentioned, there is 344 milligrams of caffeine. Combine this with 3000 milligrams of taurine and a huge amount of B-Vitamins and you got yourself an hardcore energy drink in hand. That being said, after finishing the drink in one sitting I was wired, very wired. If you are sick of the mediocre kick you are getting from your everyday energy drinks like Red Bull and Rockstar, give this a try. But be forewarned, if you have not had this much caffeine before, be careful. Maybe start with half a can. Otherwise all you hardcore energy drink fanatics, add this to your repertoire, if you can handle it! Kick Rating - 10.

Wired X344 Energy Drink Review: Final Judgment
Taste is pretty good, kick is off the charts. What's not to like? Price? Nah, you can get these for $2.00 a can (16 ounces). Or you can order them in bulk and have them shipped right to your door for $48.00 (includes shipping). More than worth the money for all the kick! That way you don't have to leave the house and you can focus on more important things like Halo 3! Final Judgment - 9.6

Hunid Racks Energy Drink Review

100 Racks Energy Drink
Cost: $2.00
Cost Per Ounce:$0.24
Active Ingredients:Caffeine, Guarana, Taurine, B-Vitamins
Taste Rating:8.8
Kick Rating:8.6
Final Judgment Rating:8.7
Energy Drink Ratings Explained

Hunid Racks Energy Drink Review
With quotes on the can like "respect the game" and "The Energy Drink for the Real Hustlers" Hunid Racks seems to be the first Energy Drink Review that I have done that seems to be marketed towards Urban America. This is not me, but I can see the name and image of the can catching on well. I also did not know how they got the name Hunid Racks so I had to look up the info on their website. Hunid racks or "100 Racks" = $100,000 and is slang used in the "hood." An example from the site: ""How much are you selling your car for? 5 Racks ($5000.00). Even though I am not a Hustler and I don't live in the hood I am going to give Hunid Racks a try as I have heard some good things about it.

Hunid Racks Energy Drink Review: Taste
First impression of the taste was pretty good. The slim 8.4 ounce can was lightly carbonated and had a very light berry taste which I enjoyed. The berry taste left no room for any medicinal aftertaste which was great. I hate energy drinks that leave a crappy taste in your mouth that it takes hours to get rid of. Glad 100 Racks took care of that problem. Taste Rating - 8.8

Hunid Racks Energy Drink Review: Kick
I liked the lightly carbonated berry flavor, but how will the kick perform. Well the ingredients listed on the can show that there is 84 milligrams of caffeine (comparable to Red Bull), 52.5 milligrams of Guarana Extract (Red Bull don't have this), taurine and a ton of B-Vitamins. So the caffeine factor is rather low, but the combination of all the other energy ingredients (Guarana, Taurine, B-Vitamins) delivered a pretty damn good kick. All the sugar in the can seemed to deliver the ingredients to the system pretty quick. Surprisingly there was no sugar induced crash after I was done drinking. Kick Rating 8.6

Hunid Racks Energy Drink Review: Final Judgment
Honestly this drink is really not marketed towards me. However, I did like the taste and the kick was better than the main stream energy drink marketed towards me (Red Bull). That being said I don't really see my self moving to the Hood to get my hands on a case of 100 Racks. Lucky for me you can buy them in six, twelve or cases online. Final Judgment - 8.7

Liquid Lightning Energy Drink Review

Liquid Lightning Energy Drink

Cost: $1.00-$1.25
Cost Per Ounce:$0.12
Active Ingredients:Caffeine, Taurine, B-Vitamins
Taste Rating:8.5
Kick Rating:8.2
Final Judgment Rating:8.4

Energy Drink Ratings Explained

Liquid Lightning Energy Drink Review
Well first off the 8.4 ounce Liquid Lightning energy drink is only about $1.00 when you buy in bulk. That's right only about $1.00. This made me happy already, as price is one of the biggest factors I use when rating an energy drink, the others of course being taste and kick. Well I really do not know much about the drink except that it is made in the United States, it has 105 calories and comes in a slim 8.4 ounce can and that there is a sugar free version as well. I guess one more noteworthy mention would be the fact that they are also coming out with an energy shot called Boltz that contains "hoodia extract." Check back later for the review on that! Enough fluff and onto the review.

Liquid Lightning Energy Drink Review: Taste
Right after cracking the can open I could smell a berry flavor so I knew what I was in for. Turns out my nose was not lying, as the Liquid Lightning energy drink has a very distinct berry taste to it. There did not seem to be any medicinal aftertaste from the energy ingredients, so the berry flavor was quite pleasant. The addition of 100% of your daily allowance of vitamin C is kind of nice as well. Taste Rating - 8.5

Liquid Lightning Energy Drink Review: Kick
Now I am not sure how much caffeine is actually in the drink. The website states that it is the world's strongest energy drink. Now, don't get me wrong, the kick of effect of Liquid Lightning was enough to keep me going for several hours but it was not on par with some of the Strongest Energy Drinks that I have tried. In fact it looks like caffeine is listed halfway down the ingredient list so I am doubting that it has a ton of caffeine. However, the blend of caffeine, taurine and b-vitamins was still worth it. Heck for about $1.00 it was well worth it. I would pick up two of these over one Red Bull anyday. Kick Rating 8.2

Liquid Lightning Energy Drink Review: Final Judgment
Well the berry taste was pretty good and the kick was alright. What I like most about this drink is the price! You can get a case of these on Amazon for about $27 which is pretty cheap. Check back later for the sugar free review and the review of

Bomba Ruby Orange Energy Drink Review

Bomba Ruby Red Energy Drink

Active Ingredients:Caffeine, Taurine, B-Vitamins
Taste Rating:9.0
Kick Rating:7.5
Final Judgment Rating:8.6
Energy Drink Ratings Explained

Bomba Ruby Orange Energy Drink Review
Well this will be my second Bomba Energy Drink Review. I reviewed the original flavor earlier in the month so I am very excited to try the Bomba Ruby Orange Energy drink as I was more than pleased with the results from the original. Bomba is quite unique as they have been around since 1994. This means they have had plenty of time to perfect the taste and flavoring of the drink. Bomba also offers a very unique glass or plastic bottle. The bottle is shaped like a grenade and is 8.4 ounces (looks like they have 330ml, 12 ounce, version as well). It is really quite unique. Even the cap comes off like you are pulling the pin on a grenade! Stay tuned for the other reviews of Bomba as well!

Bomba Ruby Orange Energy Drink Review: Taste
Unique bottle and unique taste. The Ruby Red Bomba energy drink has a very original flavor. It has a strong taste of orange coupled with a lighter hint of ruby red grapefruit. There is not a sour taste to the ruby flavor, but combining the ruby with orange does make for a tasty treat that I really enjoyed. Definitely an original taste that could grow on you! Add in the fact that sparkling water is used and you not only have a very refreshing and tasty drink but you have one that has no medicinal aftertaste at all. And I mean none! Taste Rating - 9.0!

Bomba Ruby Orange Energy Drink Review: Kick
Well the taste is great, but how does Bomba Ruby Red hold up in the kick category? Well Bomba uses 80 milligrams of caffeine (same amount as Redbull, 1000 milligrams of taurine and a host of B-Vitamins packed into the little 8.4 ounce grenade. These ingredients have become pretty standard since 1994, but don't get me wrong Bomba will still give you the kick in the pants you are looking for from an energy drink. It just doesn't have the 300 milligrams of caffeine like the hardcore energy drinks. But hey, there are two different categories. If you are looking for a nice smooth kick Bomba is your beverage. If you are looking for that hardcore pump I would look elsewhere. Kick Rating - 7.5

Bomba Ruby Orange Energy Drink Review: Final Judgment
I have to reiterate how well the taste of orange and ruby red was blended together. Very refreshing! The kick was decent, it did not give me any jitters or any crash which is good but it is not one of the strongest drinks available. However, it still does the job well. They should release some Mega Grenades in 16 ounce bottles with double the caffeine and then they will be able to compete with the stronger energy drinks. Final Judgment - 8.6

O Water Strawberry Energy Drink Review

Cost Per Ounce:$0.09
Active Ingredients:Caffeine, Guarana, Ginseng, Yerba Mate
Taste Rating:8.2
Kick Rating:8.3
Final Judgment Rating:8.3
Energy Drink Ratings Explained

O Water Strawberry Energy Drink Review
At first I thought the O Beverage line up would fall outside the scope of the Energy Drink Ratings Blog but upon further inspection of their site it looks like two of the flavors they offer are "energized" or contain energy ingredients. So this would be another first for this blog as this will be the first so called "water energy drink" that I have reviewed. Today I will be reviewing the O Water Strawberry flavor! Check back later for the tropical citrus O Water Review!

O Water Strawberry Energy Drink Review: Taste
Well first off before I get to the taste, I want to highlight that O Water has no artificial sweeteners, no fructose, no artificial flavors and no phony colors. So what's in it? Well a whole bunch of vitamins including Vitamin C and Vitamin B. So what does it taste like? Well it taste like water with a hint of strawberry in it. The flavor is not overwhelming but it is very refreshing. So you are not going to jump through hoops for the taste, but you have to remember that this is probably the healthiest energy drink out there. At least it is the healthiest that I have so far encountered! To top it off, this 17 ounce resealable O Water only has 25 calories per serving (2.1 servings). Taste Rating - Refreshing 8.2

O Water Strawberry Energy Drink Review: Kick
Well its healthy and refreshing, but will it get you moving? With a combination of 85 milligrams of caffeine, another 25 milligrams of guarana (natural caffeine)combined with plenty of ginseng and just enough yerba mate (4 milligrams) you bet it does. The refreshing taste was followed up by a nice kick. Great kick with no sugary crash. I liked it! Not the strongest energy drink out there but definitely a healthier alternative to a lot of drinks out there. Kick Rating 8.3

O Water Strawberry Energy Drink Review: Final Judgment
It's healthy, refreshing and gives a pretty decent kick. There is not much not too like about the Strawberry 0 Water. You can get them online for about $18.00 a 12 pack which is a pretty good deal. Final Judgment - 8.3

Nuclear Waste Antidote Energy Drink Review

Nuclear Waste Antidote - !6 Ounces
Cost: $2.00
Cost Per Ounce:$0.13
Active Ingredients:Caffeine, Taurine, B-Vitamins, Ginseng, Yerba Mate
Taste Rating:9.2
Kick Rating:9.1
Final Judgment Rating:9.2
Energy Drink Ratings Explained

Nuclear Waste Antidote Energy Drink Review
This energy drink is part of the Smart Power Energy Drink lineup. I am actually slightly disappointed in myself. I liked the last Smart Power Drink a lot and wanted to review the Nuclear Waste Energy Drink as soon as possible. However, I ended up getting side tracked with other commitments but I finally have some time to give the Nuclear Waste Energy Drink a try. If it is anything like the other Smart Power drink I know I won't be disappointed. Before I start the actual review I would like to bring to light the positive marketing message that Smart Power is using. Nuclear Waste Antidote, aims to raise awareness on nuclear issues by sponsoring an open forum where there is no pressure to conform to either side. You can visit this forum and read more about the issues here.

Nuclear Waste Antidote Energy Drink Review: Taste
Well first off I would like to tell you that this drink is sugar free. The reason I am telling you this is that you would not know by tasting Nuclear Waste Antidote that it is sugar free. It tastes like a regular energy drink, with a hint of orange flavor and only has 10 calories in a giant 16 ounce can. Combine this with the fact that it seems to have the right amount of carbonation and we have a pretty good diet energy drink on our hands. Another positive is the fact that even though it is called Nuclear Waste Antidote, it leaves no bitter medicinal aftertaste in your mouth. There are only a few other diet energy drinks that can make this claim. Another good drink from Smart Power! Taste Rating 9.2

Nuclear Waste Antidote Energy Drink: Kick
Well the taste and calorie factors are working in favor of Nuclear Waste Antidote. But does it pack enough punch to level a city? Well with 180 milligrams of caffeine, plenty of taurine, b-vitamins, ginseng and the ever popular yerba mate, it offers up a substantial yet smooth kick that I enjoyed. The labels on the can "no crash", "no jitters" seem to be true as I had neither affect. I actually drank Nuclear Waste while playing golf on Saturday. I drank it after I rounded the turn (after 9 holes). It did not affect my putting, I remained jitter free and just as bad a putter as I normally am! Anyways, nice kick. Kick Rating - 9.1

Nuclear Waste Antidote Energy Drink Review: Final Judgment
Well I like both of the drinks in the Smart Power line up. Nuclear Waste Antidote has a good flavor and a good kick. It is low carb and sugar free and provides a jitter free kick that you should enjoy. I wish these guys the best and hope that they pick up some distribution to make their line up more readily available. I would love to see this available in gas stations and supermarkets! Until then you will have to purchase it online! Final Judgment - 9.2

Wired X-Burner Energy Drink Review
Well I have reviewed a number of Wired Energy Drinks so far and to be honest I have quite a few more to go as they have 15 different flavors to choose from. You even have a choice of 8.4, 16 and 14 ounce cans. Today I will review the Wired X-Burner which I will try in a 16 ounce can. So onto the review!

Wired X-Burner Energy Drink Review: Taste
Alright so far I have tried two diet Wired Drinks; Diet Berry and Wired Low Carb. I liked both of them but I think Wired X-Burner trumps both of them in the taste category. It has a very pleasant citrus taste to it. Not only is it a diet energy drink (with only 20 calories total), but it states on the can that it is a metabolic enhancing energy drink. Maybe that has something to do with their combination of ingredients. Either way it is my favorite Diet Energy Drink from Wired (so far)! Taste Rating - 8.7

Wired X-Burner Energy Drink Review: Kick
Wired X-Burner has 94 milligrams of caffeine, 2000 milligrams of caffeine and a host of B-vitamins. The combination makes for a pleasant kick, but is not over the top. If you are looking for an over the top kick check out Wired X344 or Wired X505 but if you are looking for a smooth pick me up then X-Burner will get the job done for you. I drank one during my round of Golf yesteday and it kept me refreshed and energized. Kick Rating - 8.4

Wired X-Burner Energy Drink Review: Final Judgment
As I stated above, X-Burner is my favorite Diet Drink from Wired (so far). The citrus taste is great and the kick will do the trick. With only 20 calories and a decent price tag you can't go wrong with this one. You can get a case shipped to your front door for $48.00 (includes shipping). Final Judgment - 8.6

Mad Croc Sugar Free Energy Drink Review

Sugar Free Mad Croc
Cost:$1.00 - $1.50
Cost Per Ounce:$0.12 - $0.24
Active Ingredients:Caffeine, Taurine, B-Vitamins
Taste Rating:8.2
Kick Rating:7.5
Final Judgment Rating:8.2
Energy Drink Ratings Explained

Mad Croc Sugar Free Energy Drink Review
Well today I will try the sugar free Mad Croc. I tried the original Mad Croc Energy Drink about a month ago and was pleased with the taste and especially the price. Besides these two energy drinks Mad Croc also has some energy gum and some sugar chews which I will also get around to reviewing. Well enough fluff and onto the review of the sugar free Mad Croc energy drink.

Mad Croc Sugar Free Energy Drink Review: Taste
First off this drink comes in a slim 8.4 ounce can that can range in price from $1.00 to $1.50 which is not a bad deal. There is only 5 calories per drink. Besides the change in calorie count and sugar substitutes there is not much of a difference in between the original and sugar free versions of Mad Croc. The taste is also very similar to the original. So basically the taste is similar to a Red Bull. Yes even the sugar free version tastes like a regular Red Bull with less medicinal aftertaste. So overall a pretty good tasting sugar free drink. Tastes like the original Mad Croc even with the sugar substitutes. Taste Rating - 8.2

Mad Croc Sugar Free Energy Drink Review: Kick
Well this drink is toted as your "everyday energy drink." Meaning there is not really a ton of kick. Don't get me wrong you can feel a decent kick it is not on the same level as say a Spike Energy Drink. The difference is in the caffeine content. Sugar free Mad Croc has 80 milligrams of caffeine, taurine and a host of B-Vitamins. If Red Bull gives you a good kick, Mad Croc will do the same, only for about $1.00 cheaper. Overall it has a decent kick. Kick Rating - 7.5

Mad Croc Sugar Free Energy Drink Review: Final Judgment
Tastes like RedBull with less medicinal aftertaste, only has 5 calories, gives a decent kick and only costs about $1.00 - Making Mad Croc a good substitute for Red Bull. Overall Judgment - 8.2 (extra points for bargain buy!)

Endorush Fruit Punch Energy Drink Review

Endorush Fruit Punch
Cost: $3.99(4 servings)
Cost Per Ounce:$0.28
Active Ingredients:Caffeine, Vinca Alkaloids, L-Tyrosine, Acetyl–Tyrosine, Glucuronolactone
Taste Rating:8.0
Kick Rating:10
Final Judgment Rating:9.2
Energy Drink Ratings Explained

Endorush Fruit Punch Energy Drink Review
The Endorush energy drink is marketed in the hardcore or performance energy drink segment. Which is great as I need to get pumped up before I go to the Gym this morning. Well the Endorush Energy drink is made by BSN. BSN makes other products for training and energy including thermogenic fat burners and creatine. I am not reviewing those products, I just wanted to shed some light on what kind of products they offer. That being said Endorush is probably not for the casual energy drinker and would probably (we'll see after the review) be perfect for the Gym Rat of extreme athlete. Well the price of Endorush is about $3.99 per bottle, which seems to be a little steeper than their competitors like Redline. However, upon further review Endorush has 4 servings and they only recommend drinking half a bottle at a time or at first just trying a quarter of the bottle. So that being said Endorush is actually cheaper than the competition as each serving only costs about $1.00. Well enough general info. Let's see if the Endorush Fruit Punch Energy Drink can get me pumped for my workout.

Endorush Fruit Punch Energy Drink Review: Taste
First off I have to say that most hardcore energy drinks that I have tried are lacking in the taste category as most of these companies focus on the effect vs. flavor. So when the bottle recommended that this product be drank ice cold I followed instructions and put it in the freezer for about 1 hour before I went to the Gym this morning. On the drive to the gym I cracked open the now ice cold 16 ounce reseal able plastic bottle and gave it a try. I was very surprised that a sugar free hardcore energy drink could taste like this. It actually tasted like fruit punch! For having no sugar and only one carb I could not believe that this hardcore energy drink actually had a decent taste. The fruit punch flavor was not only good, it was non-carbonated so it was not going to effect my workout. Taste Rating - 8.0

Endorush Fruit Punch Energy Drink Review: Kick
Well I followed the instructions on the bottle. I had half the bottle on the drive to the gym (20 minutes prior to workout). The bottle states "instant gratification." Now I don't know about instant gratification but even before I got to the gym I found myself cranking the radio and tapping my fingers on the steering wheel. Needless to say I was getting pumped up before I even started to lift and at 5:30 in the morning this is a rare occurrence for me. By the time I got to they gym I was more than ready to go. Now I am not sure what all the ingredients in Endorush actually are and but I do know that there are 85 milligrams of caffeine per serving (340 per bottle). The other energy ingredients include; Vinca Alkaloids, L-Tyrosine, Acetyl–Tyrosine, Glucuronolactone. I also noticed one statement that says "supports healthy nitric oxide and electrolyte levels as well as hydration". To me this means they are going to makes sure you don't cramp up half way through your workout which is definitely a good thing. To sum up I got a great kick within about 5 minutes of consuming half a bottle of Endorush Fruit Punch. I didn't get jittery, I felt hydrated (no cramping) and after I was all showered up and on my way to work I could still feel the energy so there was no sugar crash. I was pleased with the kick - 10

Endorush Fruit Punch Energy Drink Review: Final Judgment
Great tasting hardcore energy drink that seems to hydrate as well as energize. Cost is not too bad either, especially if you look at the fact that you can get up to 4 servings per 16 ounce bottle for $3.99($1.00 per serving). Overall I was pleased with the results and I can't wait to try their other flavors as I can not believe how well this drink performed in the taste category. Final Judgment - 9.2

Swing Juice Pink Lemonade Energy Drink Review

Swing Juice Pink Lemonade
Cost: $2.00
Cost Per Ounce:$0.13
Active Ingredients:Caffine, Taurine, B-Vitamins, Ginseng, Gingko Biloba
Taste Rating:8.5
Kick Rating:7.5
Final Judgment Rating:8.0
Energy Drink Ratings Explained

Swing Juice Pink Lemonade Energy Drink Review
Well this is the second installment of the Swing Juice Hybrid Energy Drink Lineup. The first installment had me reviewing the Fruit Punch Flavored Swing Juice. I actually tried that one on the golf course as Swing Juice promotes itself as a hybrid energy drink that was developed by an avid golfer to help improve concentration, stamina and energy. Well I did not try Swing Juice Pink Lemonade on the golf course, but I did drink it while watching the TPC Sawgrass on Sunday. That's right I watch golf (maybe that is why I needed the energy drink in the first place). Enough fluff and onto the review.

Swing Juice Pink Lemonade Energy Drink Review: Taste
Well as I have discovered in the previous review, Swing Juice, is a hybrid energy drink that tastes more like a Gatorade. Well the same was true with the Pink Lemonade Swing Juice. It tasted like Pink Lemonade, but a pink lemonade that Gatorade would make. So it is not as sweet but it definitely quenches your thirst. Even though I did not try this one on the golf course, I know it would be a great addition as the last one I tried really refreshed me on a hot day. Taste Rating - 8.4

Swing Juice Pink Lemonade Energy Drink Review: Kick
Well the main energy ingredients seem to be caffeine ,50 milligrams in 16 ounces, Taurine, B-Vitamins and Ginseng. As I stated before, there is not a huge rush from Swing Juice, but a huge rush is the last thing you want when golfing. You have enough to worry about keeping your game in check without having to worry about a huge jitter effect making you shaky. So that being said I think the kick is perfect for what Swing Juice was designed for. It gave me a boost of energy without any jitters or crash. Maybe Sean O'Hair should have had one before he tee'd off on hole #17. Kick Rating 7.5

Swing Juice Pink Lemonade Energy Drink Review: Final Judgment
Another good addition to the Swing Juice Hybrid drink lineup. Get a little extra boost without all the jitters while enjoying a nice pink lemonade flavor. Final Judgment - 8.0

Censored Energy Drink

That's right the folks at Redux Beverages have re-released the Cocaine Energy Drink under the name Censored (nice little Jab at the FDA I might add). This all takes place shortly after it was pulled from shelves due to increased pressure from the FDA and state regulators as they claimed the slogans Redux Beverages were using to market the drink were illegal. Check out the full article on the Banned Cocaine Energy Drink. Was the FDA overstepping its bounds by initially banning Cocaine? Opinions will differ on that one but renaming to Censored Energy Drink was just great marketing.

So what did the FDA and State Regulators accomplish? Well sure they forced the little guy to change his name to Censored Energy Drink, in turn bringing down tons of criticism on themselves and giving Redux Beverages tons of free press. Yeah Redux lost some product, but they should make that up in no time with all the free press. They even got a jab in at the FDA by renaming the drink to Censored. They should also get a jab in by just writing Censored over the cans original name and keeping the can design exactly the same. Well maybe they should remove the slogans that brought the heat down on them. Other wise by renaming the drink censored and by using the exact same can design I think Redux Beverages stuck it to the man on this occasion instead of vice versa. I would not be surprised if the Censored Energy Drink started flying off shelves even faster than the initial release of Cocaine.

Looks like the drink will have the same ingredients it did before; including the whopping 280 milligrams of caffeine. I wonder if it will still have that throat numbing sensation? Well if I find out that any of the ingredients changed I will do another Energy Drink Review on the Censored Energy Drink. In the meantime if you want to know what the beverage tastes like check out the original Review Here.

As always feel free to chime in with your thoughts on the subject matter at hand.

Beaver Buzz Big Buzz Energy Drink Review

Beaver Buzz Big Buzz Energy Drink

Cost: $2.99 - $3.29 (Canadian)

Taste Rating:8.6
Kick Rating:8.7
Final Judgment Rating:8.6
Energy Drink Ratings Explained

Beaver Buzz Big Buzz Energy Drink Review
Well this will be the first Canadian energy drink review that I have done. I am glad our neighbors to the north are jumping into the market. Looks like the Beaver Buzz lineup includes several flavors and sizes. They have a 16 ounce (473 ml) version, appropriately labeled Big Buzz, which is the one I will review today. They also have 8.4 ounce (250ml) and 12 ounce (355ml) sizes available in the following flavors Green Tea, Saskatoon Beaver Buzz Berry Energy and Canadian Beaver Buzz Citrus Energy. I will eventually review all of them but for today we will stick to the Beaver Big Buzz Energy Drink. So let's find out if this Canadian beverages slogan, "Dam Good" is true.

Beaver Buzz Big Buzz Energy Drink Review: Taste
Well first off this 16 ounce (473 ml) drink has a rather distinct but enjoyable berry taste to it. There was a hint of aftertaste to the drink but nothing to bite your tongue over. Actually this is one of the better tasting berry flavored energy drinks out there and by far the best tasting Canadian berry flavored one that I have tried so far which makes me all the more excited to test the rest of their product line. Yeah der he! Taste Rating - 8.6

Beaver Buzz Big Buzz Energy Drink Review: Kick
Well the Beaver Buzz website says that the Big Buzz is Canada's strongest energy drink? Well this might be true, but it has a little above average energy ingredients compared to other drinks. If my calculations are correct (and they might not be) a 8.4 ounce Beaver buzz has 110 milligrams of caffeine so the Big Buzz should have around 220 milligrams. When combined with Taurine, Guarana Seed Extract, Siberian Ginseng Root Extract and a host of B-Vitamins it does give you a pretty dam good kick! Although not the strongest that I have tried it was still an enjoyable kick. Kick Rating - 8.7

Beaver Buzz Big Buzz Energy Drink Review: Final Judgment
I was very satisfied with my first installment of the Beaver Buzz energy drink lineup and look forward to review the rest. The big buzz was "dam good" as the site states. It mau be Canada's strongest energy beverage but it can not hold that claim throughout the rest of the world. However, the kick was still good. The only down side seems to be that they are only available in Canada. If you have seen it other places feel free to post a comment below on where to purchase as it is definitely worth trying. Final Judgment 8.6!

Bomba Energy Drink Review

Bomba Energy Drink
Cost: $1.89
Cost Per Ounce:$0.23
Active Ingredients:Caffeine, Taurine, B-Vitamins
Taste Rating:8.5
Kick Rating:7.5
Final Judgment Rating:8.2
Energy Drink Ratings Explained

Bomba Energy Drink Review
Well I was quite intrigued by the Bomba Energy Drink right off the bat. First off it has been around since 1994 which makes it a pretty old energy drink. Second it is the first drink that I have reviewed that comes in a glass bottle. There are other drinks that come in glass bottles, but the grenade shaped 8.4 ounce bottle is quite unique. To open it you need to pull the top, kind of like pulling the pin on an actual grenade. If you don't believe me just look at the picture. If you are not particular about glass then they also offer is in cans and plastic bottles. Also looks like they have a 330 ml version (12 ounces) available as well. Today I will be reviewing the original Bomba Energy Drink (yellow bottle), but stay tuned for energy drink reviews on the other flavors including the sugar free version of the original and blue, red and black energy.

Bomba Energy Drink Review: Taste
Well my initial impression of Bomba was that the flavor tasted somewhat similar to that of Red Bull. The only difference seems to be that there was not really any medicinal aftertaste in Bomba as there is in Red Bull. Also there is somewhat of a bubblegum taste to the drink as well. That and the drink is made with sparkling spring water. Overall the drink was quite good. The sparkling water and lack of medicinal aftertaste make the drink a great alternative to Red Bull. Although I did not try it, I would imagine Bomba would make for a wonderful mixer as well. Taste Rating - 8.5

Bomba Energy Drink Review: Kick
As for kick it looks like there is about 80 milligrams of caffeine combined with 1000 milligrams of taurine and a host of B-Vitamins per 8.4 ounce serving. So it is not as strong as some of the newer energy drinks, but it seems like in today's market there are the hardcore energy drinks and the regular ones. Bomba falls into the latter but not everyone looking for kick is looking for 300 + milligrams of caffeine. I enjoyed the kick and I think others looking for a nice smooth pick me up would as well. As I stated in the taste review, Bomba would also probably make for a good mixer. The hardcore energy drinks would not because before you know it you would be on the floor convulsing from all the caffeine. Kick Rating 7.5.

Bomba Energy Drink Review: Final Judgment
Good taste, decent kick and cool packaging make for an exciting drink. I am glad I finally got to try Bomba. Wish I could have tried it sooner as this makes for an all around good beverage that supplies an ample kick and a pleasant taste. They should try to release a couple mega grenades in 16 ounce bottles. I think that would be pretty neat. Final Judgment 8.2!

Taste Rating:9
Kick Rating:10
Final Judgment Rating:9.5
Energy Drink Ratings Explained

Spike Energy Drink Review
To tell you the truth I have been waiting to review the Spike Energy Drink for quite awhile now. Basically ever since I did the article on the Spike Energy Drink I have been waiting to try it. It just was not available in my area at the time. This drink really seemed to push the envelope by putting 300 milligrams of caffeine into a little 8.4 ounce can. There was a lot of hoopla about who should or should not drink this beverage. Well if you want to hear more about that stuff read the article. Because today I plan on just giving you a straight up review of the Spike Energy Drink based on price, taste and kick.

Buy Spike Shooter Here

Spike Energy Drink Review: Taste
Well first off I was not expecting a very good taste. Why was I not expecting a very good taste? Well if you cram 300 milligrams of caffeine and energy ingredients into a tiny 8.4 ounce can the results are usually not too pleasing. That is why I was so surprised. Even with all those ingredients Spike Shooter still had a really pleasing fruit punch flavor. To top it all off they made this fruit punch flavored drink with zero calories and zero carbohydrates. Add the fact that even with 300 milligrams of caffeine there was still no medicinal after taste and we have ourselves a tasty beverage! Taste Rating - 9.0

Spike Energy Drink Review: Kick
If you have not picked up that the Spike Energy Drink has 300 milligrams of caffeine in it than you haven't been paying attention. So what's the deal with 300 milligrams of caffeine? To put it in prospective a Red Bull has 80 milligrams of caffeine. So is Spike the strongest energy drink I have had? No. There are a few others out there with more caffeine but Spike has the most caffeine per ounce. And how was the kick? Pretty intense actually. It gave me a huge boost of energy that lasted several hours. Best part is that I had no crash after consuming which probably has to do with the blend of B-Vitamins and proprietary energy blend. But I have tried well over 100 energy drinks so I recommend that you follow the directions and pay attention to the warnings on the can before you consume Spike. Specifically don't drink this if you are under 16, pregnant or have allergic reactions to caffeine. There are more warnings on the can so just read them before consuming. They also recommend that you start off by trying a half a can to determine tolerance and do not have more than one can a day. If you use this before or during a workout like I did make sure you drink a lot of water to keep hydrated. Kick Rating - 10

Spike Energy Drink Review: Final Judgment
Super strong kick in a small can with a great fruit punch taste. This is not the strongest energy drink I have tried, but it is definitely the strongest best tasting one that I have tried. Combine that with the fact that you can get these for right around $2.00 a can or you can save money by ordering them in bulk. Final Judgment 9.5

Cocaine Energy Drink Banned for Good Reason?

Cocaine - the Banned Energy Drink
So it has finally happened. The cocaine energy drink from Redux Beverages has been pulled from the shelves. Whether I am a fan of the drink or not should not be relevant here. The only thing that should be discussed is why has the cocaine energy drink been pulled from the shelves?

Purchase the Cocaine Energy Drink Here

What turns out to have been a very clever marketing strategy for the cocaine energy drink has backfired after the FDA issued a warning letter saying that the slogans used were illegally marketing the drink. Basically what the FDA and other state regulators are saying is that Redux Beverages is marketing this drink as a legal alternative to the actual thing. So instead of facing jail time, the people at Redux Beverages decided to pull the cocaine energy drink off the shelf. Some of the slogans used on the site include “Liquid Cocaine,” “Speed in a Can,” and “Cocaine—Instant Rush." So why have the FDA and state regulators decided to take action against the Cocaine Energy Drink? Is it the deceptive marketing tactics (that apparently no other energy drinks use? Or is it the fact that the FDA and state regulators don't like the name of the drink and decided it was best for us if it was pulled from the shelves?

I would have to go with the latter. No one in their right mind would believe that a the cocaine energy drink actually uses real cocaine in the formula. I understand the fact that this may give kids the wrong idea about the actual drug. An by no means do I condone use of the actual drug. But is the government the right venue to shut Redux down? What's next? Are we going to start banning other products with drug related references? High Times Magazine, Billabong Clothing company, Bong Water Energy Drink, Xtazy Energy Drink. What about Hooah Soldier Fuel? Will it make our troops better soldiers? It might, since is is supposedly made be the military. If I drink this will it make me a better soldier? Oh yeah, and what about Coke? It comes in a red can and it supposedly used to contain the actual ingredients. So what's the difference. The slogan? I am sure Coke used to have some outrageous slogans that were not proven as well. Looks like they got a second chance. What about other energy drinks that have questionable names or marketing slogans. Red Bull does not actually give you wings and I think everybody knows this. But what happens if some moron drinks a couple and then decides to try to jump off a bridge so he has a cool video to post on You Tube? Or what about the Rockstar Energy Drink? There slogan is party like a Rockstar? What if by Rock Star they mean Jimi Hendrix or Jim Morrison? Are they promoting that you should party til you die? I could really care less whether or not Cocaine is put back on the shelves. There are other energy drinks out there that are just as good if not better.

But if you want to censor a drink because of the name and marketing slogan, maybe this should be left up to others instead of the government. Just my thoughts. Feel free to chime in with your thoughts on the Cocaine Energy Drink being banned.

Bazza High Energy Green Tea Review
Well this would be the second installment of the Bazza High Energy Teas that I have reviewed. The first flavor I reviewed, Bazza High Energy Raspberry Tea, was very good and I was more than pleased. So I was definitely looking forward to this Green Tea Flavored drink from Bazza. Well if you missed the 1st review then here is a brief background on B.W. Cooper, the man responsible for the formula of both Bazza High Energy Teas. B.W. Cooper has spent 40 years traveling around the world tasting and blending teas. According to the press release, B.W. Cooper is the only living tea and herb master in the entire world. If you ask me that is quite an accomplishment. Onto the Bazza High Energy Green Tea Review.

Bazza High Energy Green Tea Review: Taste
First off I stated in the last Bazza review, as well as numerous times throughout other energy drink reviews, that I am not too fond of tea based energy drinks. Well I ended up really enjoying the Raspberry Flavored tea that I reviewed last time and it turns out the Green Tea flavored drink from Bazza is also well done. B.W does it again! The 16.9 ounces Bazza High Energy Green Tea is pure refreshment combined with a light yet very flavor full green tea taste. I might just have to change my impression of tea based energy drinks in general. Either that or invest in a porch with a swing so I can enjoy the taste on a nice summers day. Taste Rating - 8.8

Bazza High Energy Green Tea Review: Kick
With 150 milligrams of caffeine from green tea extract and yerba mate makes for a very pleasant kick. It's not powerful enough to knock you off your porch swing but it has enough kick to keep you swingin for quite awhile. On top of this beverage is non-carbonated, has zero sugar and zero calories and comes with no crash at all. That's right since their is no sugar their is absolutely no crash involved with this drink. Which is usually the best part, because who want's to crash on the porch swing. Wouldn't that be embarrassing? Kick Rating - 8.2

Bazza High Energy Green Tea Review: Final Judgment
Refreshing taste combined with a pleasant kick and a great price, $2.00 for a 16.9 ounce resealable bottle. You can't go wrong. Let's just hope it doesn't take B.W another 40 years to introduce more flavors! Final Judgment 8.7

Energy Drink Ratings Explained

Wired Tropical Energy Drink Review
Well I have reviewed a number of Wired Energy Drinks so far. I have enjoyed their previous drinks so I will add another to the Energy Drink Review list. They have a total of 15 different flavors to try so I am sure they have one that everyone will like. They come in 8.4, 16 and 24 ounce cans. Today the Wired Tropical Energy Drink that I will review comes in a 16 ounce can. Enough fluff and onto the review.

Wired Tropical Energy Drink Review: Taste
Well first off the can gives you a pretty good idea of what kind of flavor you are getting yourself into. That's right it has a tropical flavor. But more specifically it has a blend of passion fruit, mango and a hint of orange flavor. So the combination has a pretty good taste to it it you like the citrus tropical kind of blend in your Energy Drink. Taste Rating - 8.8

Wired Tropical Energy Drink Review: Kick
Well this drink comes with 94 milligrams of caffeine, some taurine and a plethora of B-Vitamins. This is the formula they seem to use for the majority of their drinks, which is great if you are looking for a little pick me up. But if you are looking for something a little stronger I recommend trying one of their more potent energy drinks like they Wired 505 or Wired 344 (the number denotes the total amount of caffeine in the drink!). Even with only 94 milligrams of caffeine, the Wired Tropical Energy Drink still gives a decent kick. Kick Rating - 8.4

Wired Tropical Energy Drink Review: Final Judgment
The taste is good and the kick is average. Overall a pretty good drink from Wired. If you are looking for different options you can check out the other Wired Energy Drinks Here. One good thing about all Wired beverages is that you can get a good price. You can get a case of these shipped for $48.00 right to your house. Save yourself a trip to the supermarket and just order online. That's what I do! Final Judgment - 8.7

Fixx Energy Drink Review

Fixx Energy Drink - 500 Milligrams of Caffeine

Cost Per Ounce:$0.13

Kick Rating:10
Final Judgment Rating:8.8
Energy Drink Ratings Explained

Fixx Energy Drink Review
Well today I thought I would review one of the lesser known Energy Drinks. This Fixx energy drink seems like it could be classified more as a thermogenics fat burner than an energy drink, but I suppose it could go either way. First off I want to start by saying that the 20 ounce Fix energy drink comes in a reseal able bottle and their website promotes it as helping significantly boost metabolism. There are other drinks on the market that claim to do this but usually the claim states that you have to drink two a day for a certain period of time. Well the Fixx Energy drink claims to help burn calories by just drinking it. Now I have no way of measuring this but I will give you my thoughts on it later.

Get Your Fixx Here!

Fixx Energy Drink Review: Taste
First off I want to state that since the product is more along the lines of a thermogenic fat burner I was not expecting much in the taste category. But my first impression of the drink was actually not too bad. There is a distinct berry flavor to the drink as well as a distinct green tea taste to it. Actually the green tea taste is quite powerful, so if you like green tea this might be the flavor for you. Well I have reviewed other thermogenic fat burner drinks and I have to say that Fixx tastes better than their competition Redline Energy. However, that is not the hardest thing to accomplish. But if you drink Fixx ice cold and remember to shake before consuming the tast is OK. Taste Rating - 7

Fixx Energy Drink Review: Kick
Well the taste is not the greatest, but how does the kick stand up to the competition. Well it doesn't. The reason being is that this drink blows the competition out of the water when it comes to kick. This is by far the strongest energy drink that I have ever had. There is 500 milligrams of caffeine in this 20 ounce bottle! I never felt so energized in my life. Even with that much caffeine I still did not crash. Just constant energy. I drank Fixx after my workout and I was still slammed with energy until I went to sleep. It was seriously crazy. My advice when drinking one of these is to maybe try half a bottle at first to see if you can handle it. I mean I drink energy drinks daily and this one was off the charts. Oh yeah, make sure you drink plenty of water when consuming this as well. Wouldn't want to get dehydrated! As far as the kick rating goes I don't know if my scale of 1 to 10 can do this drink justice. If I had a scale that went to 11 I would use it. But since I don't - Kick Rating - 10!!!

Fixx Energy Drink Review: Final Judgment
Well there you have it. The strongest drink I have had to date. There was no sugar crash involved here but there were some slight jitters (from me not being able to sit still)! The taste is not the greatest but it is not bad for a fat burner energy drink. I can see the claim of "burning calories" by just drinking it having some merit. I mean I could hardly sit still and I have drank quite a few energy beverages in the day. The only other thing to say is remember to hydrate when consuming Fixx. Also, even though I enjoyed the kick they should include some kind of warning label on the can so young kids do not get ahold of this. I don't think this much caffeine would be good for them. But thats just my two cents. Final Judgment 8.8!

Taste Rating:9.0
Kick Rating:9.1
Final Judgment Rating:9.1
Energy Drink Ratings Explained

Smart Power Energy Drink Review
Well there has been a lot of buzz lately in the energy drink world. A lot of it being negative concerning excess caffeine amounts (Spike Energy Drink) and misleading information (Cocaine Energy Drink. Among all this negative buzz comes positive buzz pertaining to the new Smart Power Energy drinks. Why positive buzz? Well the Smart Power Energy Drink people have taken a different approach to marketing their drink. One of their drinks (which I will review shortly), called Nuclear Waste Antidote, aims to raise awareness on nuclear issues by sponsoring an open forum where there is no pressure to conform to either side. The other, which I am reviewing today, promotes a healthier energy formula. So enough background info and onto the review!

Smart Power Energy Drink Review: Taste
To tell you the truth when I got my sample of Smart Power I was not expecting it to be a low carb / diet energy drink as the can looks like a normal energy drink. However, upon receiving the 16 ounce sample I noticed that the drink is sugar free and only has only 10 total calories and zero carbs. The can is appealing and so is the zero carb / sugar free factor, but how does it taste? I would say it has a rather smart taste to it. It has a berry taste with a hint of vanilla which makes for an excellent tasting energy drink when blended together. By far one of the best tasting I have had the opportunity to do a review on in awhile. I also give them props for having a rather unique taste. Good job on the taste guys! Taste Rating 9.0

Smart Power Energy Drink Review: Kick
What't this unique energy blend that I keep hearing about you might ask? The one that takes away the negative effects of caffeine. Well I would try explaining it to you but the detail they go into on the site is pretty intense. So if you want to know more about their unique formula you should just visit the site. Otherwise you will just have to take my word that Smart Power delivers a great "jitter free" kick without a crash. The ingredients used are 180 milligrams of caffeine, Taurine, B-Vitamins, Yerba Mate and 500 milligrams of ginseng. A lot of ingredients right?Maybe so, but however they blend them seems to work as it supplied me with a nice sustained kick that I enjoyed for several hours. Oh yeah, and did I mention no crash. 9.1

Smart Power Energy Drink Review: Final Judgment
I like the fact that a positive spin is being used to market these drinks. This company seems to be looking out for your health and your energy levels. The kick was fabulous and the taste was very original. I can't wait to try the Nuclear Waste version! The only bad thing is that I think they are only available online or in the San Francisco Bay area. Hopefully they can speed up their distribution so everyone can get a chance to try this great beverage! Final Judgment - 9.1

Frappio Light Latte Energy Drink Review

Frappio Light Latte
Cost:
Cost Per Ounce:
Active Ingredients:Caffeine
Taste Rating:8.0
Kick Rating:8.7
Final Judgment Rating:8.3
Energy Drink Ratings Explained

Frappio Light Latte Energy Drink Review
Well to be honest this is the first coffee based energy drink that I have tried. I am normally not a huge fan of coffee, but I did used to drink it in college before I got hooked on Energy Drinks. So since I am willing to try anything at least once I saw no harm in trying the Frappio Light Latte Coffee energy drink which is available at any 7-11. This might even make for a viable coffee alternative. Either way, Frappio Light comes in a 15 ounce can and has only 120 calories and 4 net carbs. One thing that makes this beverage unique is the fact that Frappio claims that some consumers actually reported losing weight by drinking this. So Frappio suggests that this drink could actually curb hunger. Well I am only going to try one so I will have no way of evaluating this. Enough fluff and onto the actual Frappio Light Latte review.

Frappio Light Latte Energy Drink Review: Taste
My initial taste impression definitely brought back memories of late nights drinking coffee. The only difference being that I drank Frappio cold. Honestly I am not a huge fan of coffee anymore but Frappio was actually really pleasant to drink and would make for a viable coffee alternative or a good pick me up breakfast drink. Really not much else to say about the taste. Taste Rating - 8.0

Frappio Light Latte Energy Drink Review: Kick
Honestly I was not expecting too much in the kick category from Frappio, but I was greatly mistaken. It gave a really good kick that was jitter free. And since it was sugar free I experienced no crash. Upon further review of their website I gathered that Frappio actually has 288 milligrams of caffeine. So yeah I was definitely energized after having this. Kick Rating 8.7!

Frappio Light Latte Energy Drink Review: Final Judgment
Tastes like coffee and gives you more of a kick than coffee which makes Frappio a viable coffee alternative. I wish I had more time to review the statement about this drink curbing hunger. But since I am not a doctor all I can do is relay what the site says. Basically the claim is that by drinking Frappio the production of the stress hormone "cortisol" is reduced - in turn reducing your stress related hunger cravings. Sounds cool and they have several customer testimonials on their site backing it up. You can pick one up for yourself at any 7-11. Final Judgment - 8.3
