Ol'Glory Energy Drink Review
Well today I am going to review one of the Energy Drinks out there at only $0.99. That's right the Ol' Glory Energy Drink was only $0.99 at WalMart, I couldn't refuse. The can itself was somewhat cheesy with a patriotic theme (not that being a patriot is cheesy) and a bunch of slogan's like America's Best Energy Drink. It also lists the pledge of allegiance on the can. I especially liked the one on the bottom of the can that says "Improves your over-all efficiency & physical performance." Let's see if that statement from the Ol' Glory Energy Drink holds up.
Ol'Glory Energy Drink Review: Taste
Well first off I was not expecting anything to original for $0.99 in the taste category. I was right, it is pretty much a knock off of the Monster Energy Drink. Nothing wrong with that as the Original Monster is not too bad, but it is nothing special. Taste Rating - 8.0
Ol'Glory Energy Drink Review: Kick
Well the Ol Glory Energy Drink contains 100 milligrams of caffeine, 20 milligrams of guarana extract, 500 milligrams of taurine and some B-Vitamins which is pretty weak considering these are the ingredients for a 16 ounce can. Even though the drink stated that it would improve my physical performance I did not bother to give it a try as the drink was highly carbonated and contained 54 milligrams of sugar. So I drank it...Got a small kick... and then crashed pretty hard. Kick Rating - 5.0
Ol'Glory Energy Drink Review: Final Judgment
Turns out there is a reason this is $0.99. The taste is a knockoff (and not a good one) and the kick is pretty damn weak. This is one of the only times I recommend staying away from an energy drink. If it was $0.25 I could see it being worth it, but I will never buy this one again, even though it is only $0.99 for 16 ounces. Final Judgment - 6.0

The stuff is a miserable cheap knock-off, don't bother. It's pretty sad how they wrap the can with flags and eagles, playing upon patriotism for such a lousy product.
I think this stuff is great. It got me through many a long night and made for some funny mermories. The gimmick is great.
I'm drinking it now. I don't think it is at all a knock off of Monster Original. The monster original tastes like apple to me. OlGlory tastes more lemony. In fact I like the flavor very much.
I plan to buy more after having read the information on their website this company donates a portion of profits to military families in distress through "Operation Homefront".
I'm glad I found this product!
Why can't I find out where this swill is made? I mean, they have American flags plastered all over the can, it MUST be made in America...right? Unless it's a rip-off. And it COULDN'T be that...right?
It is not Monster nor made by monster so why the hell would it taste like it and dam right the fact it donates almost half the dollar per can to military families and with the patriotism is because how it helps out military families and it also tied in with the national guard..what ungrateful people No other energy drink donates money to american forces and it made in okc oklahoma since it really matters
I don't find that the review accurately lists the amounts. My can lists per 8oz (x2 for the 16 oz) Guarana extract 25mg, Taurine 1000mg and caffeine at 80mg per 8oz (as listed on the can) so for the 16oz: Guarana: 50mg (not 20), Taurine: 2000mg (not 500), and Caffeine:160mg (not 100). Have they changed the formula?
I am a regular Monster drinker. A co-worker let me have a can. He bought 3 cans(instead of buying a Monster), the 2 cans have been sitting in the office's mini fridge for about a month. The can first of all it's cheesy as hell and tastes no where as close to Monster. It tastes more like Squirt and Orange soda mixed together. I was dozing off and 45 minutes later I feel no jumpstart. It's 4:32pm and calling it a day, head home and take a nap.
you must be in the top 10 maybe top 5 idiot reviewers I have ever heard of. seriously? tastes like monster? what monster were you drinking? who cares if it doesnt give you a kick, and it definitely doesnt make you crash hard unless you are 3 feet tall and weigh 40 lbs. It tastes good and it helps military families.
I love this Shit Buy it at the Fort Sill Shopette cost .79 no tax.... I love it when it warms up than I put it back in the fridge and it's great... considering 110 degrees here.... creates great memories I wanna know where I can get it And I being a person who doesn't get energy from energy drinks no crash either Just love em for the taste :) Where else can I get em
Ollie's Bargain outlet sells this at a case of 24 for under 6 dollars. A price I cannot complain about.
