So it has been a little while since I reviewed any new product... reason being I was in Vegas and thank god I had a stash of Energy Drinks to keep me going... the city can be ruthless. Anyways, today I will be reviewing the Regular Cougar Energy Drink. If you remember I reviewed the Cougar Energy Drink - Double Shot a couple months ago and I thoroughly enjoyed it even though I am not in their target market... A little background in case you didn't read the last Cougar review - This 2.5 ounce shot comes in 2 different formulas, standard and double and is designed for women. So let's see how the regular compares to the Double Shot formula in the taste and kick categories.

Cougar Energy Drink Review - Regular: Taste
The taste is slightly better than the Double Shot. It still has the noticeable fruity flavor which when sipped reminded me of hints of grape, raspberry and strawberry followed by what seemed to be a watermelon flavor. However, the "odd smell" I got from the Double Shot version did not seem to be present in this regular Cougar Energy Shot. My judgment of the original vs the Double Shot is fairly similar, they are both great tasting energy shots, whether they are designed for male or female. Taste Rating - 9.4

Cougar Energy Drink Review - Regular: Kick
The taste was slightly better in this review than the Double Shot; however, I am assuming the kick will not be as potent in the regular as there is 75 milligrams less caffeine in the regular version of Cougar. The complete list of energy ingredients include 100 milligrams of caffeine, Green Tea Extract and a large amount of b-vitamins. Regardless of the fact that there is 100 milligrams of caffeine in this version, Cougar gave off a pretty good kick, comparable yet slightly stronger than drinking a Red Bull, and since there is no sugar in Cougar, there was no noticeable energy crash. Now I prefer the Double Shot for the extra energy, but you have to remember that this drink was really not designed for a 180 pound male, it was designed for the female demographic. Cougar Energy Drink Review - Regular: Final Judgment
Still one of the better tasting energy shots that I have had... the kick was still adequate. The only place I know of where you can currently Purchase Cougar is on their website.
