Sugar-Free Full Throttle Energy Drink Review:
I reviewed the Full Throttle Energy Drink now I am
going to give the sugar free version a try. Coca Cola’s Sugar Free Full Throttle Energy Drink still comes in an attractive black can and can be found almost anywhere but it also makes it very clear that it is sugar free as it is noted in big red letters on the top of the can. This 16 ounce giant drink can be had for around $2.00 just like all the others. Whats the difference between the sugar free and regualar versions in taste and kick? Well read on to find out.
Sugar-Free Full Throttle Energy Drink Review: Taste
As you recall the original was a citrus lime flavored drink with a mild bite with not much original flavor that I gave a mediocre 6.0 for taste Read the Full Throttle Review Here. Well the sugar free version tasted pretty much the same as the original. In fact the sugar free version was s little less syrupy than the original making it tastier. This is a good option if you are watching your calorie intake and are looking for a low / no calorie energy drink. Taste rating = 6.5, slightly better than the original.
Sugar-Free Full Throttle Energy Drink Review: Kick
Well will the sugar free version put out as much of a kick as the original? Sure did, the kick seemed almost identical. The lack of sugar did not effect the kick whatsoever as the main ingredients for kick were still present (Caffeine, Guarana, Ginseng and B-Vitamins). It actually has about 8.81 miligrams of caffeine per ounce which is about the same as the Monster Energy Drink but I did not get a kick that lasted very long. I am not sure if they are missing other ingredients that help give you that kick you are looking for or not, but I was not that impressed so I will give the sugar free version the same score as the original, a 6.5.
Sugar Free Full Throttle Energy Drink Review: Final Judgment
This is pretty much identical to the original, the only ingredient that seems to have been taken out is the sugar. So you get a viable sugar free energy drink that packs a mediocre kick that actually tastes better than the original. The only thing to watch out for is it does not seem to stay carbonated quite as long. You should be fine as long as you don't drink it like a baby. Final judgement = 6.5!

I have to agree about this being similar to the Leaded version. The sugar has been replced by good old Saccharin so be prepared for that typical after-taste and whatever long term effects come down the line. 6.5 seems about right for a rating.
