Alright after reviewing the original Hype Energy Drink I was fortunate enough to hear about the new Hype MFP Energy Drink. The can gets a sweet looking face lift, but stays at 8.4 ounces. The price stays relatively the same at around $1.99 per can, or you have the option of buying in bulk at $34.99 for a case of 24! The Hype MFP Energy drink website states that the new Hype MFP is the most powerful beverage that they have produced to date. Let's see if it can hold up to these claims as I gave the original Hype a kick rating of 9 because of the substantial amount of caffeine packed into the slim can (9.52 mg/ounce). On to the review!
Hype MFP Energy Drink Review: Taste
The original Hype Beverage got one of my strongest taste ratings for an energy drink at 9.5 and the new Hype MFP Energy Drink tastes just as good. At first I thought the addition of taurine, vitamins and other kick enhancing ingredients would have hindered the taste by making it have a medicinal aftertaste. Boy was I wrong. I can't say this any other way, it tastes great and all they have done is improve on the original berry citrus flavor! And for improving on the original taste I will bump up the MFP taste rating to a 9.7!
Hype MFP Energy Drink Review: Kick
We have already established that the new Hype MFP tastes great, but how will it perform when it comes to the all important kick factor? As you may recall I gave the original Hype a healthy 9.0 on the kick scale. Is the claim of improved energy also true? Again, they have more than met my expectations and have definitely improved their kick! I don't know if it was the addition of vitamins, taurine, or if they upped the caffeine anti, but whatever they did helped out! MFP gets a kick rating of 9.3!
Hype MFP Energy Drink Review: Final Judgment
Overall I would have to say that MFP is an improvement over the original, which in itself was a hard feat since the original was also very good. The taste is great, the kick is good enough for me to give it an honorable mention for one of the Strongest Energy Drinks that I have tried and the price is competitive. I would like to see them try to improve on this one! Final Judgment - 9.6!

DAMN RIGHT! im drinking one of these bad boys right now and i got to say this is by far the best drink. the taste gets a 10 and the kick gets a 9.6 from me, the drink next to it, to me, would be the green monster. if you havent tryed this drink yet go out and buy one of them, guarenteed you'll be buying these whenever you see them

For me, it's about taste. I usually drink sweeter energy drinks (monster) rather than dry energy drinks (rock star) How does this compare on the sweet/dry scale?

I just purchased a case of 30 of these bad boys for 25.00 and just popped one before I leave here for hockey (ice hockey goalie). I feel like I am stoned, it took about 15 minutes for it to kick in, and when it did, it was like a smack in the face...see how long it lasts, taking another before the game starts of course
Taste is amazing, very easy to drink, no after taste like other competition and easy to swallow.
Best feature is the small can. I cant stand having a big can to throw back, would be kind of a pain having to urinate half way through my hockey game....

I tried one of these, they taste like crap, unless they changed their formula or something it tasted just like every other energy drink.. that weird cherry like flavor with the bad raspberry like after taste..
Not so tasty, trust me!!! I have tried at least 150 different kinds of Energy Drinks from cans, bottles, small bottles, plastic bottles and I do remember this one (HYPE). If energy drinkers like energy drinks for taste and energy, that energy drink needs to taste as close as possible to some soda-pop, but just little bit different. Hype s not even close to it. It tasted like something I can make it at home with syrup and sugar.
