Energy Drink Ratings Explained
Burn Energy Drink Review:
Well it has been a little while since I tried a new energy drink. Turns out it was definitely worth the wait as Source Beverages has come out with the Burn Energy Drink. The 16 ounce Burn energy drink not only contains a plethora of the good stuff (energy ingredients), which I will get to later, it also contains the same sugars and electrolytes as the leading sports drink. So what do you classify Burn as? Well it is definitely an energy drink but in my opinion it would also be beneficial before a workout or sporting event! Combine that with the fact that it is readily available at convenience and grocery stores and we already have a very promising looking beverage. Well enough background already, on to the actual review!
Burn Energy Drink Review: Taste
At first I was a little leary of Burn as it looked like it was going to be just another citrus energy drink with a bitter after taste. I say this because usually energy drinks that are citrus flavored in nature and contain a ton of vitamins and caffeine leave you with a strong medicinal aftertaste. Turns out I was greatly mistaken. Burn, a lightly carbonated beverage has almost no medicinal aftertaste and the citrus / tropical flavor is rather unique. It has a light peach taste combined with the tropical / citrus flavor. I was quite impressed! Final rating is a more than pleasing 9.2!
Burn Energy Drink Review: Kick
Well the flavor was quite pleasing, but will Burn Energy live up to the hype plastered all over the can? Well, to put it mildly it sure does. With 199 mg's
of caffeine it tops the likes of Red Bull and Rockstar. Well not being as potent as the Cocaine Energy Drink or Bawls when it comes to amount of caffeine, the Red Korean Ginseng provides an extra boost, and it provides it without the jitters or dreaded crash. I will give Burn a better than average 8.7 for kick, what it lacks in extra caffeine it makes up for in other areas and provides some serious energy!
Burn Energy Drink Review: Final Judgment
Well it tastes great and has almost no medicinal aftertaste to it. It has more caffeine than your average run of the mill energy drink and it contains other potent energy ingredients such as ginseng and arginine. Combine that with electrolytes, antioxidants and b-vitamins and you have a very complete beverage that will not only give you the pick up you need, it won't supply that much dreaded crash later. Final judgment for this drink is a very pleasing 9.0!
