Energy Drink Ratings Explained
Zipfizz Energy Shot Review
Well it has been quite awhile since I have done an Energy Drink Shot review so today I will review the Zipfizz energy shot which retails for about $1.99. This little 4 ounce bugger only has 30 calories, only 8 grams of carbs and contains zero sugar. The Zipfizz energy shot is marketed as a healthy alternative to energy drinks for those above reasons. Along with the liquid shot, Zipfizz also offers mixable flavored energy powders (which I will be reviewing later). Other than that I don't know too much more about Zipfizz so I will just start the review. That's probably all you care about anyway.
Zipfizz Energy Shot Review: Taste
First off the flavor that I am reviewing is fruit punch. It is the only one currently available but I believe they are making other flavors. So does it taste like fruit punch? Yes the Zipfizz liquid energy shot tastes like fruit punch with an emphasis on the berry flavors. There is some medicinal aftertaste to the drink, but it is less prevalant than the majority of energy shots including one of my favorites - 5 Hour Energy - Berry Flavor. But what do you expect when you cram all those energy ingredients into a little 4 ounce shot? I was certainly pleased with the results and would have to say it is by far one of the better tasting energy shots that I have tried so far. Taste Rating - 8.7
Zipfizz Energy Shot Review: Kick
Well the fruit punch / berry taste is pretty good. But will this little 4 ounce bugger give you the energy you need? Well Zipfizz has 120 milligrams of caffeine, taurine, green tea extract and an unbelievable amount of b-vitamins. What's an unbelievable amount? How about 41,667% of your daily allowance of vitamin B-12. So yeah there is a lot of energy ingredients packed into this. I wish I would have used this one during a workout as the combination of caffeine and b-vitamins would of have gave me the juice I needed. Instead I choose to shoot it after lunch. Which by all means worked out great. Everybody could use a little pick me up after lunch. Hey, it kept my productivity up, which is pretty hard to do on a Friday! Great quick acting long lasting kick. Kick Rating - 9.3
Zipfizz Energy Shot Review: Final Judgment
Good taste, fast acting kick, low calorie count, no sugar. What more could you ask for right. Maybe some more b-vitamins? All joking aside I don't think I would change a thing about this energy shot. The addition of some more flavors however would be great. I know I would love to try them. I feel pretty confident when I say you would enjoy this one as it is one of the best all around energy shots that I have tried. Final Judgment - 9.1

Ya, I don't like the aftertaste but it keeps me going with 4-5 hours of sleep!
If you are looking for a great energy boost ..this is it!! Gives you about 5 hrs of great energy and you dont crash later on, the best part it has alot of vitamins we all need. The taste is awesome unlike some of the other energy drinks out there. Give it a try you wont be disappointed!
This energy drink really works for me. I use it for work and for working out, it lasts through the afternoon without the crash i use to get from redbull/monster. I also like that there's no extra calories or sugar. I would recommend this to anyone, just be sure to drink it ice cold!
After trying lots of energy drinks I would say it was either Zipfizz or XS. The added vitamins and antioxidants make this a sweet shot of energy. I drink one on days when I am dragging tail and it really picks me back up. I think this should be in the top 10 best energy drinks.
OK..I don't 'do' coffee and cola's don't have enough push for me..As a FT nursing student and mommy of 3 little ones I NEED BADLY something to clear the cobwebs so I don't fall asleep studying or in class. Zip FIZZ has been my saving grace since August..really pushes my cognition level to functionally normal..I'm sure if I was a workout junkie this would help as well..but for now I buy them by the case at Costco ($27 for 24) to get me thru school. No cals and no filling carbonation are huge boosts (I hated Monster and RB for it)
I just tried a cocktail of powdered zipfizz AND hawaiian coffee. As soon as I get down from the ceiling, I'll let you know how long it lasts! No, seriously, I did the Zipfizz in the suggested 20 ounces of water, first thing in the morning and I do feel a slight surge of energy. I'll post later to tell you how long it lasted and to what degree. Does have a bit of an aftertaste and leaves some chalky residue in the bottom of the glass, but no biggie.
This works for me! It gives me a natural feeling of energy unlike some other products I have tried. I also like that fact that you can still sleep on itif your plans change, and ur not going to need all 5 hrs. It works best for me if im keeping active, if I am just relaxing and not doing much it seems to stop pretty fast if..
wow, great page, I have only done the powdered stuff but after reading this review I will try some of the liquid.
I love the powder for before workouts, it doesn't give me a huge surge but definitely helps to pry me off the couch and get me to the gym. I also take it before martial arts class as it helps me pay attention and follow instructions better. Far superior than just coffee for those things.
Im not one for energy drinks. I dont do them. They do nothing to me. Im the type of guy that can drink a Mountain Dew or a cup of coffee. Right before I go to Bed. I reciently Went to Costco Talked to the sales rep. With all the ingredients I figured it would be at least healthy for me (this was the dry powder). After drinking it I did have alot more energy. And I believe It actually worked for me, and like I said energy drinks do nothing for me. Im now hooked, I cant wait to buy a case of the energy shots.
I started using zipfizz....but now avoid it. They are engaged in a very misleading marketing campaign.....touting that it's sweetened with "xylitol" yet the MAIN sweetener is Sucralose (aka Splenda), an artificial sweetener. Xylitol is listed 4th to last in a very long list of ingredients. They simply put in negligible amounts of Xylitol so that they can say that they use "natural" sweeteners. If you don't mind artificial sweeteners, knock yourself out....but if you do, stay away from this product.
i am 66 and i drink zipfizz when i have work i want to get done. it is great. on days i just want to wake up i use B12 liquid. that works great too. carol
I tried the orange lemon lime zipfizz shot this morning, and the taste is so awful, I can't manage to down even one-fourth of it.
Horrible taste!! Tried Fruit Punch flavour.
I would never buy these again!
