Snapple Antioxidant Water Strawberry Acai - Awaken:
Alright, I know what you are thinking right off the bat. What am I doing reviewing a Snapple Antioxidant Water when the site is focused on Energy Drinks. Well I do occasionally check out other products and I was intrigued when I ran into the 20 ounce Awaken from Snapple. As it turns out it does have energy ingredients, coupled with electrolytes, vitamins and of course antioxidants. There are 4 new Snapple Antioxidant Water's available that I know of; Grape Pomegranate, Raspberry Acerola, Tropical Mango and Strawberry Acai - which I will be reviewing today as it is the only one that has the energy ingredients.
Snapple Antioxidant Water Strawberry Acai - Awaken: Taste
This is a little different than what I am normally used to as most energy drinks are carbonated. However, I was pleased with the overall taste. The flavor was not as strong as I am used to but the fresh strawberry and crisp acai flavors blended seamlessly and unlike the majority of energy drinks there was no medicinal aftertaste. Overall I was pleased with the flavor blend. Taste Rating - 8.5
Snapple Antioxidant Water Strawberry Acai - Awaken: Kick
So how will this healthy water compare to an energy drink? Well, the energy blend is 435 mg per bottle of caffeine (63 milligrams total), ginseng extract, and guarana seed extract coupled with a plethora of b-vitamins. So no it won't compete with the strongest drinks on the market, but it does challenge one of the market leaders in the kick category... and that aint no bull. Kick Rating - 8.0
Snapple Antioxidant Water Strawberry Acai - Awaken: Final Judgment
It has a good taste, decent kick and it is a way healthier alternative than I am used to as not many Energy Drinks can boast electrolytes, tons of vitamins, antioxidants and EGCG. So if you are feeling like a change from the everyday ED maybe reach for one of these instead. I did try the other three flavors as well - Grape Pomegranate, Raspberry Acerola, Tropical Mango - but since they are not really related to the scope of the blog I am not going to do individual posts for all of them. I can say that they contain all the other health properties as the Strawberry Acai that I reviewed today. Final Judgment - 8.3
