NOS Energy Drink Review:
This drink is basically trying to ride the coat tails of the Fast and the Furious movies. They used Nitrous Oxide Systems in their import cars to make them faster and that is what NOS Energy Drinks will do for you as well. So the name is basically a marketing gimmick. But does it work?
NOS Energy Drink Taste:
NOS differs from the normal energy drink taste of Red Bull as it comes in a citrus flavor. I like the fact that NOS Energy Drinks do not taste like Red Bull but this citrus flavor was pretty sweet. It reminds me of a passion fruit with a bit of tang. Don't recommend having after a hangover, the taste will not help your cotton mouth. The NOS Energy Drink review for taste gets a 6.0.
NOS Energy Drink Review: Kick
The taurine, caffeine and ginseng do give you a nice kick. The kick lasted longer than I expected and there was not too much of a crash after I was finished which I liked. As I said earlier this is not great for a hangover but it will definitely get you through a two hour lecture of sociology. The NOS review for kick gets a 7.5.
NOS Energy Drink Review: Final Judgment
The citrus flavor is the only flavor that I found at the store if any one else knows of other flavors they should let me know because I enjoyed the kick I got from the drink, but the flavor was not to my liking. No real cost benefit, same price as all the other $2.00 energy beverages out there. The final judgment rating is a 6.5 as the flavor drags down the benefits of the kick.

I have to admit, I am a true energy drink addicted junkie! I tried "NOS" today for the first time. Taste: It's okay, kinda weird compared to others. Kick: non.
I tried it, and I actually felt like I was getting tired.
I have to disagree with the comment regarding the kick. I attend a lot of the events where the drink in marketed at and drink it quite often, I love it and think its one of the better energy drinks out there.
With one drink I notice a difference with energy levels and it helps me through the busy day.
On a side note one day while sitting at the office i had 2 within a few hours. I DONT RECOMMEND DOING THIS! I had the gitters all afternoon and found it very hard to complete the task i was involved in. other then that i love the drink and rate it in my top 5!
this one gives me more of a jittery trip, than any of the others like Monster, No Fear, or 180. The taste is....bearable at best.
Not a smooth ride. too bad i got 2 cases still at home. (what can i say, they were buy one, get one free)
I have tried every energy drink out there so far and NOS gives the best kick and tastes the best. I used to buy 4-5 Red Rain everyday and now I buy 2-3 NOS a day and I am always wired. I highly recommend this drink

There is another flavor of NOS, probably recently out. I caught it in the vending machine at my work, although I haven't tried it as of yet. It's in the flavor of "Fruit Punch". Interesting.

Does this not come in bottles where you live? All NOS in Canada seems to be in NOS(Nitrous) styled bottles. The bottles are 650ml, which translates to 22oz. They are a little stronger than my usual Rockstars, and are about the same price, and definitely better than the small can energy drinks like Redbull.
I got the 22oz bottles for $1.99 just north of SeaTac, got off the plane and after 14 hours needed something... this place called Saar's Marketplace(not my first choice, after just coming from China) in Burien.
Didn't think much of the first one, but now after two... I'm wired and I've been up for more than 36 hours and don't see sleep in the near future either.
Saar's also had Howling Monkey.. 4 pack cans for $1 as well as a ton of others I've never heard of, Cowboy, Alien and a slew of others. Grocery Outlet always has the mega-ton of uber cheep e-drinks too.

The fruit punch flavor is much better than the citrus, i have to say. I ordered five cases of the stuff online after having a few a month ago. NOS is one of my favorite energy drinks. Check out the fruit punch, it comes in a red can, and the taste is much better.
I just tried the NOS High Performance Energy Drink Yesterday and it was Great! I was standing in line at WalMart and they had it in a cooler by the checkout the 22 oz. bottles, but I can't find anything close to my house the nearest WalMart is 45 miles either direction from me. I would like to buy them in the 22 oz. size bottles not in the cans. I don't know if WalMart carries them on the shelf by the case yet or just sells them individually. Works better and tastes way better than Red Bull.

I must say that after trying countless energy drinks NOS Fruit Punch flavor is the best of all time. The fruit punch flavor of NOS doesn't have the medicine-like flavor of Red Bull and the others.
If you haven't tried it I suggest that you do. (CAUTION) You will be hooked on it!
the bottle itself is very dangerous. I got a bottle, tried to open it and a piece of the bottle went through my finger. it took me a while to get that little piece out of my finger. someone needs to do something about this.
nos is by far the best energy drink on the market. it gives a good kick w/o the jitters, but enough kick to focus and still feel accomplished. the taste is also by far the best out there. i have gotten so many "non-energy drink" drinkers to try it and they are very happy with my suggestion..

i have started drinking nos cause its the only energy drink thats in a reclosable bottle. its nice to be able to stick it in your pocket whereever you go. the taste is actually pretty good. the "kick" isnt the term for it. you dont feel awake at all. if youre tired you feel tired. if youre awake you feel awake. so the night i fist had it i started gettin pissed cause i felt tired as hell but then 8 or 9 hours later and alot of wii playing i realized i was still awake at 8 am and couldnt even fall asleep. itll keep you alive and it fits in your pocket.
I feel I should point out that there are two nos energy drinks, the old one in a fake nos bottle, and the new one in the can, can sucks, it's pussy nos, weak, WEAK! But the old stuff was approaching the 500mg mark for caffeine... it had a kick to it, the new stuff is a kick to the nutz to the fans of the old stuff. I miss the old nos, but I figure if it's off the market, it's probably due to circumstances that wont change soon... I guess I'll stick to beaver buzz, that one's got a nice kick for a wee bottle...
Fruit Punch flavor rocks! No bad taste kinda tastes like shasta tiki punch. So just a pleasant flavor nothing too harsh.
there's a grape flavored one i've seen in a few grocery stores, tastes pretty much like a regular grape pop, little more sour tho, not terrible, must say i prefer the original though

I love NOS energy drinks. I drank them all the time until once I drank about 5 of them in an hour and something messed me up bad. From then on if I drink a NOS energy drink after 4pm I will have nightmares that night. I am not kidding. I have tried to drink it again many times and EVERY time I drink it in the afternoon I have terrible nightmares. I would email the company but can't find their email address. yeah this also comes in grape...i have to say, i really like the taste: it doesnt have that bitter taste that most energy drinks have, and it has a good kick: ive tried many energy drinks, even getting the largest can (that i know of) available, and the dont do much for me. this one got me. i rate it a 8/10

hey this is tyhe best energy drinl i have ever had at first a drink a few swigs and didnt love it but since i bought a 22oz at 4 in the moring i fuigered i would drink it the after a couple of sips it tased awsome and i had super energy(witch wasnt nessarly a good thing at 4 but still it worked)the only think i wish about nos is were i can find a case of it in bottles
Dudes...NOS is seriously the best energy drink out there for every reason possible
1) the taste is awesome, not only does it not taste like radioactive chemical soup, but it actually uses real passionfruit flavor. 10/10 for taste
2) the kick is huge, a single can of NOS contains over 200MG of caffeine, that's more than any other energy drink of that size. A bottle of it has 365MG of caffeine, and this bottle actually costs LESS than a can for some reason...which leads us to...
4) the price is AWESOME, the huge bottle which contains 365MG of caffeine only costs about 3 bucks, whereas your average garbage energy drink is somewhere around 3.50
I just really don't know why this energy drink isn't sold many places, or why the company behind it puts literally no effort into marketing or even letting anyone contact them in any way at all to order their product.
O dear freaking god..I went out driving with a bunch of friends and one of them stopped at the store..and when he came out he had nos for all of us and this was around 7:30 or 8:00 last night..and I don't usually drink energy drinks after like 6 cuz otherwise I get like really wound up..and so by the time I was talked into drinking it and finished all 650 some-odd ML of the shit I was so f*cked up like u have no clue..so we all stopped at tim hortons and my bf couldn't stop shaking..so like if u really really wanna be like hyper and giddy then I suggest nos..if u wanna be like awake but not giddy then I suggest u go find urself a can of Monster..
o and btw by the time I finished drinking mine it was like 9:30 almost 10 and I didn't get to bed till like 3am and I'm still like hyper cuz I got up at like 6am..I just couldn't sleep I was to giddy and hyper from drinking it..
o and uhm yah in Northern Ontario u can like only find fruit punch..I didn't even know there was any other flavors..

WOW Where to start.....NOS is the best engery drink out there. i dont care what anyone says about the kick cuz well therers lots of kick. the other engery drinks are BLAAAAA and taste like SHITT. i LOVE THE price to and its funny cuz i got my corner store to order them in so i like have 3 case at least a week haha. once you try it you will get addicted to it. but out of them all the new fruit punch is my fav. and i cant wait till the new flavers come out. i just hope they will start selling more and maybe even BIGGER bottles.!
I will have to disagree with those saying the kick and the crash are smaller than other energy drinks. Compared to Monster, etc, I've found that NOS (with more caffeine than Monster, 250 mg/can vs. 160 mg/can) gives you one hell of a jittery, panicked, insane rush. And a crash to match it.
I personally like the taste, but I've found both the "kick" and the crash to be on the heavier side on the large scale of things.
I have been taking NOS as a pre-workout formula with my Ultimate Nutrition "Horsepower" creatine. Wow! Simply WOW! If your a Bodybuilder try this combo out or something similar as long as your creatine does not have caffeine it it, you might risk your heart blowing up otherwise.

It's kind of become the caffeine addiction of choice with my coworkers as we have to be at work by 7 am and we're not morning people. The citrus doesn't taste great, but you get used to it. NOS packs quite a kick, but the crash is really harsh.
I first came across NOS when a client of mine (from Canada) gave me a bottle (not the can) of NOS when we were both in Vegas at a convention and told me that this stuff was unbelievable. To my misfortune I didn't get a chance to drink it and instead stuck it in my carry on luggage. That obviously didn't work well trying to get through baggage check at the airport and I had to see it tossed.
I then came across the canned version (which appear to be less potent) in an Eckerds where I work (NYC), tried it and thought it was absolutely terrific.
I've had Red Bull, Rockstar and a slew of the other energy drinks out there and this is the only one that doesn't taste like your drinking something that had been mixed with cough syrup. I've since been drinking one can after each workout and it without question gets the blood flowing (heck, I could swear that I even see better at night after downing a can).
Would definitely recommend it especially if you hate that cough syrup "slash" Dr. Pepper after taste in most of the other energy drinks.
The only other energy drink I drink aside from NOS is the [___] Force drinks that you get for GNC. Everything else IMHO taste like crap.
Yeh I get no kick whatsoever from energy drinks its pretty weird but Nos is hands down the best energy drink out there. But why, you might ask, do I drink energy drinks if they give me no kick? Hell I dont know. Because they taste good. What more do you want from me people? Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
I drink 3 22oz bottles a day. Its always on sale here in Rochester NY. You do have a slightly harder crash with NOS. Thats why you drink another. Its the only one I drink now
i dont know how some of you guys can drink 2-3 nos in one freaking day. the amount of stuff in it is enough to kill your livers. i mean yeah its an great energy boost but 2-3 in a single day. last a little much.
I dunno what all you've heard but from what I know there are 3 flavors. Grape, Fruit Punch, and the original. I prefer the grape of all of them. And I think its ok. I usually use it in the morning to wake up and sometimes to get a lil umph to clean house.
The NOS you reviewed is... pretty good, just not something I'd drink every day (unlike Monster Assault) because I'm not a big fan of fruity flavors. While it does not have an aftertaste like many other energy drinks (such as Full Throttle, Rockstar, and Red Bull) the flavor is only O-K. I'd probably only buy it myself if 1: it turned out to be cheaper than my usual favorites, 2: I couldn't get my usual favorites at the time, or 3: I needed an immediate kick. (The NOS drink made me feel more awake after about 15 minutes of ingesting it.)
I just had it for my first time. I like it a lot better then Red Bull...... I think its because I had to many jager bombs :o)

I tried this last night at work. I had it at around and 6 and by 7 it was in full effect until about 10 or so. The crash was terrible tho. Tingling sensations all over and almost passed out. I should mention that I worked in a 100 degree kitchen... just try it and see. Tastes good

NOS is a pretty good ED out of all the ones i've tried, got a good citrus orangy flavor to it but it's pretty dang sweet, not the sweetest but sweet, good 6.5 kick on it, i would recommend

I love this energy drink. Im always really hyper and this just tops it the first time i had it i bought it at the local shoprite to give it a try because full throttle just wasn't working anymore and the energy i got was amazing after trying the grape i still like the citrus the best. I had one a day while on vacation in florida found at the publix there and now im searching all over for them but i reccommend this its the best.

the original NOS is the best, blue and orange can.... i drink about 2 a day, and i must say, the taste is better compared to redbull, a little grapefruit-ish kick...and you get more for your money.. 16oz 1.99..Awesome.... also, i think there is an addictive ingredient b/c i cant leave a store without one... ugh.. but i LOVE it !!!
I tried it but I did not really notice a kick - I guess that is because I run everyday of the week and do karate competitions so I have become accustomed to endorphin and adrenaline. Is there an energy drink stronger than Wired X505? (You should review Hardcore -Xenergy it has 300mg of caffeine in 243ml).

people,people,people....I've been working nightshift for a long time now and have tried a hell of alot of energy drinks. there are 3 rules to follow, (for you novices)and I can't stress them enough. 1. Eat something first 2. Don't slam energy drinks. 3. Don't drink them after lunch, unless it's Friday. Finally, Nos is in my top 2. It tastes great,nice kick,I can drink it day after day and the best part is that it has the resealable top (I ride a bike to work). Yum. 9++

i drank 3/4 of one of the larger (screw top) bottles of NOS, and felt a bit wired and energetic. then i went to my friends house, we did a line of coke apiece, then went to the movies. i sat down to watch pineapple express, but i was flying around so fast i decided to just leave the theater and walk around the building for 45 min. it was pretty illmatic.
I love NOS, gets me ridiculously amped and i love the taste!
Crap. Don't ever drink it because it uses the cheap High Fructose Corn Syrup crap and not real sugar like Monster and all the other superior energy drinks.
Don't pay any attention to the negative comments about the kick. As the reviewer said, the kick is there. I should know, I have tried every ED I can get my hands on, and have built a complete tolerance to every one of them (including Wired) except NOS. Maybe it's something in the mixture of the energy ingredients that works with my body chemistry, but one will get me through work just fine.
Oh, and if anyone knows what chains sell the Fruit Punch, let me know!! I can't find it anywhere in the Tampa area. I drink the Grape flavor most often because it's the only other one available and my usual place right now (Racetrac) other than the original citrus.

I drink energy drinks all the time and alot of people are looking at it like its purpose is to make you run around a lot and stuff. For those people redline is better. But, for gamers who want to kick a** at Halo 3 on Xbox Live I recommend a mental boost energy drink like NOS. This stuff is NOT meant for people that want to feel like their on crack.

Hands down the best energy drink out there, if you havent tried NOS yet, run, dont walk, to the nearest quickie mart and pick up a bottle. Seriously, this stuff is the shizzzazzz.
Haha i've had 3 cans of this stuff within one hour a few time. Its amazing the amount of energy you get!! i would NOT reccomend this is you have a history of heart problems because my heart was racing dangerously fast... the buzz lasts for hours but be ready for the realllly hard crash... drink it about 5pm and you'll crash by about 1am lol so you will sleep pretty good ^^ but theres a good chance you will wake up with a headache ><
Wow I have to say after trying this Nos drink I kind of like it. It gave me a boost and it actually taste pretty good. When it's a hot day put it in the freezer and drink it slushy and this drink will blow you away. Great job on this drink Holley prefomace highly recommended.

ok i just will like to say that if thay take and put a age limit on energy drinks thay will have a fight on there hands. I bet if thay test all the schools that about 99% of schools have kids that drink energy drinks and the 1% do live in a bubbles so yes go and put a law on it. That will never work

i just turned 13 and i drank 2 nos. i drank one, one day, and the other the day after. i am worried that my growth has been stunt. i am really scared if it did. can someone please tell me if its likly that i did? please and thank you...
Whatever you do, don't drink it on an empty stomach. I started a 20 oz can at 6 AM in the morning and finished it about 2 PM. Not having much food throughout the day I was still buzzing at 10 PM later that night. It even affected my driving at night. I became disoriented and lost my way temporarily on a very familiar road. If you don't like the buzz that coffee gives you don't drink NOS. If you just want some energy drink a Full Throttle as it doesn't have that wicked annoying buzz.

Myself I've been addicted to NOS-Energy Drinks since 2007 when I worked for Coca-Cola in one of their wharehouses.... I bought a few at a local store to try it... I liked it so much I started buying a case of it with every paycheck at the wharehouse on pay-day. Here it is almost 2010 and it is the only Energy Drink I even like other than Full-Throttle (orange). I am a complete NOS-Energy Drink Addict at this point. I like the Fruit-Punch flavor, but the original flavor is really my favorite... the Grape flavor is ok too.
I am having one right now, and it's the reason I'm writing this comment, because I work nights and I am normally sleep at this time of the day. The citrus taste is great, much better than the nasty after-taste of Red Bull. I actually had a headache, before I started drinking this NOS, but it quickly went away midway through the drink, I'll probably pay for it later! Great drink though, I think I'll buy a case.
NOS have a pretty stout taste like a grapefruit so it's not for everybody, but as for me I love it more than any other energy drink out there. I love the fact that it has a stout taste and it won't make you crash after your done in fact for me it takes like 4 hour after I finish it for it to even wear off and after it does it doesn't really have a big crash effect. It's $2.50 for a 16oz can where I live and I have to say it's an ok deal I wish was a little cheaper but, hey energy drinks are expensive.

NOS is by far the best tasting energy drink. The original citrus is fairly good but like other people have said it does leave some after taste.
The fruit punch flavor is the best one, just imagine hawaiian punch spiked with carbonation and energy.
Sucks though because I live in Norcal and it's really hard to find. Unlike when i went to spend 4 days in north dakota, they have every size, flavor imaginable. But in CA try 7-11 theres one by my house that always has fruit punch.
And don't listen to the idiots that get major crashes and sick from drinking 5 of them in an hour, there's a reason they say don't take more than 3 a day of any energy drink.

hell, i needed a caffeine hit badly for an exam and had one of these after a coffee. I'm no slouch to caffeine and i've had monsters before. The NOS got me going crazy for about 30 mins of mad jitters.
I love NOS, for the taste its my favorite energy drink, and the kick for the 22 oz bottle is great for me,, it keeps me going for 5 hours minimum, two thumbs up to NOS.
Ive had NOS before track and field events. The product offers good energy for 400m-3200m races, jumping events as well. I never used it for football but im sure it gives the user more than enough energy needed to exceed if not over used. NOS!!!!!
Man I gotta say, I'm drinking the first NOS I've ever had right now and after about 2/3 of the can, I'm pretty freakin wired. Crazy $#17 man. Crazy. So far, this is the best energy drink I've had. After the crash, I may change my mind though. Maybe. No, probably not.

It's a good drink. I have tried it a few times and if ya drink it before you eat, it may not like you for a bit. Had it happen to me and got a stomach ache because i was being an idiot. But besides that, i've gotten smarter now and it's a great drink. (HINT: dont drink this before eating. haha)
The selection isn't great in SC, but I get the Fruit Punch all the time, it's smoother flavor has less "pinch." Two of these make a great combination for cramming on weekends. I like to mix it with the berry "Juicy Juice" my younger brother favors. Mix comes out like Sangria, but without alcohol. Bawls is a superior drink, but I stick with NOS. Although Spike Shotgun is my favorite drink - by far the "cleanest" sensation - it is costly in comparison.
This energy drink sucks. Don't drink it if your not used to drinking energy drinks. It has a good taste but a few hours after taking it you will regret it.

Bought a can of loaded cherry at the local grocery store. Tasted like Citrus flavored Radioactive with a hint of sugar and some tangy cherry flavor. The taste is alright, at first I was a bit tired from gulping this, but I definitely feel the kick after it got into my system fully.
It won't wake you up in an instant, but it has a mellow long lasting effect and in my opinion, that's alright with me.
Also didn't die of my heart exploding, definitely considering another purchase in the near future.
tried my first NOS last night. it was called Fully Loaded Cherry. It waas AWESOME!! I loved it. I highly recomend it for anyone who wants a nice energy boost. I got it at like 9, drank it at 10, and was up till 5 am! felt no crash whats so ever. I only wemt to bed because im goin to my girls house in a lil while I had no negtive effects, it tasted like cherry cough syrup (which I love) and was full of kick!!

NOS.. is the best ED out there...I walk between 10- 15 k a day and this drink allows me to have that extra jump...i could walk an extra -5 to 10...grape is definitely the best flavour..
NOS has once again redesigned their drink and lowered the kick. IMHO it doesnt even compare in flavor or kick to the stuff I could but last week. NOS was the best selling ED in my neighborhood. Now atleast 5 of my friends agree we will be searching for another drink that delivers the taste and kick we use to get with NOS.

I disagree with this review completly i drink alot of energy drinks and onestly they dont give me that much of a kick but i picked up this NOS at speedway and i felt enegy withen like 5 minutes after i drank it. And about the aste its not bad at all actually i liked the taste better then alot of the monster tasts and there was NO medicinal aftrtaste
Drinking half a 473ml can gives me the jitters. lol
I also feel horrible the day after drinking this stuff. It's really strong compared to Red Bull, Red Rain, or Rockstar.
so i drank a nos for the first time at around 7 last night before i went ot play laser tag, it gave me a lot of energy and made the game more interesting, but its 5 in the morning right now and im still wide awake. nos is officially to much for me to handle
My top energy drink! I'm a caffeine addict, and I can pretty much fall asleep right after drinking Red Bull or Monsters and a few other popular energy drinks. But this drink does it for me! Luv that light orange taste too and luv the kick! Don't ever change NOS!
Energy drink? You have got to be kidding. Tried it with an open mind and noticed NOTHING that plain old water would not accomplish.
I work very early shifts at work sometimes (4am) and I always grab a NOS to keep me energized. I do shelf stocking at a grocery store, so I need the energy for that time of day.
Taste: Personally, I like the taste. Sort of a sour, sugary taste. If I was brave enough, I would chug it.
Performance: I noticed that a few minutes after taking it, I felt very energized, and I wanted to do everything fast! But there was a crash factor for me after a few hours.
Lasting effects: I noticed that when I was done with my shift, and I would go home to sleep, I couldn't. I had to fight with my self to fall asleep. The even stranger thing is that I felt really jittery, and paranoid while in bed. And when I would actually fall asleep, I had these extremely disturbing, and vivid NIGHTMARES. And I could clearly remember the nightmares after I woke. This happened multiple times after drinking this, so it's no coincidence
Overall, this product scares me lol but I guess it does the job. Just dont fall asleep while this is fresh in your system.
kept me up a day and a half,its a great tool to pull all-nighters...
