Red Jak Energy Drink Review
Just ran into a gas station to pick me up a little pick me up. I was a little short on cash so I went with the Red Jak Energy Drink because it was only $1.50. Yeah, I know what you are thinking, you paid $1.50 for an energy beverage that is 16 ounces. Are you out of your mind. Well I might be but I needed a little pick me
up and I could use the extra cash at the bar. I could get a half a game of pool in! Well enough background and onto the Red Jak Energy drink review.
Red Jak Drink Review: Taste
Alright the can was quite unique as it was black with a splash of red that kind of looked liked the Budweiser crown. I opened it up and it smelled vaguely like apples. I am not the biggest fan of apples, but you know an apple a day keeps the doctor away. It is somewhat fruity but you can definitely taste the medicinal energy taste and it is a little sour. It actually has somewhat of a strong bite to it that the sour flavor brings out. It is actually reminiscent of the Tab Energy Drink that I reviewed a couple of days ago. It is fruity, a little sweet but has kind of a sour aftertaste to it brought on by the energy ingredients. Well I will give the Red Jak Energy Drink review for taste a mediocre 7 as it is nothing special.
Red Jak Energy Drink Review: Kick
I was hoping the kick would make up for the mediocre flavor but turns out that the kick is rather disappointing as well. I thought the kick hit me right away but it turns out it was just the sour after taste. The total kick lasted about 2 hours, which is far from par. There was no crash at the end of the kick, but yet again
there was not much of a kick at all. The Red Jak Energy Drink review for kick will get a less than mediocre 6.
Red Jak Energy Drink Review: Final Judgment
Alright all you assholes that were laughing at me when I reached into the bargain bin for an energy beverage were right. This drink did not taste that great nor did it give the desired kick that I was looking for.
However not all bargain bin drinks are bad. Check out the Hype Energy Drink, it only costs $1.50 and it was really good. That being said I will give a final judgment on Red Jak of 6.5.

Wow. This suprised I thought it had plenty of kick and I felt fall straight to my kidneys the thing is with this you have to practically chug it to get the benefit it normally last around 3 hours for me.
I don't know what the fuck you drank, but it sure as hell wasn't Red Jak. Red Jak is probably my favorite flavored energy drink to date, and much better than the sour-as-hell semen textured Red Bull or any of its "tangy" derivatives.
As for kick? I've drank 4 cans of Wired 294 (which is among one of the caffeinated beverages you can buy) in 1 hour without feeling the effects.
Also, what does "kick" mean when your energy drink tastes like a donkey's ass? Not much.
red jak is fairly strong for me, but it probably has to do with what anon #1 said about chugging it. i pretty much always chug my drinks.
shit makes me ping off of walls, better than monster, but its not sold in my town anymore.
this shyt is bomb with lime vodka. taste like cherry limeade.
Red Jak is my favorite drink. Even if it didn't have any caffine it's still my #1 for taste. Tangy... not too sour and not too sweet. I sip my drinks so they have to taste good. But the amount of "kick" is all relative. I haven't had any caffine in 10 months before my caffine fast the "kick" would only last me a few hours but now it's more like 6+ hours.
koester
I frequently drink energy drinks and I tend to judge them based on taste, "kick", nutritional facts, and price. Let me tell ya red jak is the best in these categories, I'll admit the taste is unique, and you sometimes have to get used to it, but It is amazing regaurdless of your taste prefrence it gives you a lot of kick because of the caffine quanity and L-caritine, plus it relatively cheap, and even if it wasn't it's well worth $2. The guy who submitted uses the design on the can as one criteria... really... come on.
^^^ for all you haters, this review was done on the old Red Jak formula. Check out the new review here: http://energy-drink-ratings.blogspot.com/2007/08/big-red-jak-energy-drink.html
I recently went to 3rd shift after working 1st for over 20 years. I tried several other energy drinks and nothing compared to Red Jak. The taste is the best, and it woke me up without making me jittery. Thank you!
Along with most of the prior reviews Red Jak gives more of a kick than all the other energy drinks. The flavor hits you like Rockstar (though two very different tastes) all around a great energy drink. It'll give you the kick you need but the only downfall is its availability.
You're completely and utterly wrong on this review. The taste is fruity, yet not over-bearing while the b vitamins provide an energy boost great for working out, or just a pick-me-up. I would compare the kick to red bull and put it higher than rockstar.. so I think youre totally mistaken. Too bad Red Jak isnt lasting in the gas stations and I've noticed it has disappeared from my town completely...
Bought a couple of 16-oz. "low carb" cans yesterday at Big Lots during their 20% off (on everything) sale. Regular price per can is 70 cents; sale price per can was 56 cents (plus sales tax). Drinking the second can now. I think it tastes pretty good.
