Well I heard about this new Bookoo energy juice online and I could not wait until I got my hands on it. Fortunately for me I did not have to wait too long. When the cans of Bookoo Energy Juice arrived they were a somewhat bright orange. On the top of the can it states - "99% juice and 100% energy." Turns out this is the first energy drink to be made from 99% juice. A quick look at the ingredients shows a variety of anti-oxidant rich fruits and a a plethura of vitamins. Well this should be a good forray into the morning energy drink market! Let's give it a try.

With the can being orange and the drink itself being marketed towards juice drinkers I was expecting a predominantly orange taste. But after my first sip I quickly turned the can around to see if I could get an idea of what kind of fruit flavor I was tasting. Turns out combining papaya, white grape, orange, guava and passion fruit makes for a very light yet exotic citrus tasting energy juice. I was not disappointed and would gladly add this to my morning repertoire of energy drinks; especially since there was no medicinal aftertaste. Taste Rating = 8.9!

Well it has an original citrus taste and it contains 99% juice, let's see if it holds up to the 100% energy claim! Well with energy ingredients like caffeine, B-Vitamins and Taurine combined with a host of other vitamins I was more than pleased with the kick I received. It was definitely enough "juice" to get me going in the morning. The kick was not over the top which is good, the last thing you need in the morning is a drink that is going to make you jittery. The BooKoo juice gets a 8.7 kick rating!

Taste great has a very pleasing kick that doesn’t leave a medicinal aftertaste. On top of this it has more than your daily allowance of vitamin C and vitamin A. Jugo should do great in the morning energy beverage segment as it is a healthier alternative than coffee and it gives you plenty of vitamins. Final judgment is a juicy 8.9!
