I think I get the concept behind this drink. If you want to party like a Rock Star then you need to have a Rockstar Energy Drink before you do. Well celebrities and stars do like things in excess and Rockstar Energy Drink was the first company to feature the 16 ounce cans, double the conventional size of drinks like Red Bull. Well enough background b.s and onto the review.

I am sure many of you have tried Rockstar just like I have. It does not taste like all the other energy beverages per see, it is citrus based but it also has a kind of apple after taste. One thing it does lack is that conventional medicinal taste that a lot of the original drinks came with. Rockstar also added "Milk Thistle" which is supposed to help with hangovers. I tried it and I don't think it works. I did a Rock Star Bomb after every two beers, after I was done with my 12 pack of Budweiser I went to bed. Yup, I woke up with a hangover. That could have been because I was mixing beer and vodka, or it could be because I am getting old. Either way this drink tastes pretty good, with or without the alcohol. I will give it 8.5 out of 10.
Rockstar Energy Drink Review: Kick
Because this drink comes in 16 ounces it packs quite a bit of kick. It has 9.38 milligrams of caffeine per ounce. 16 ounces = about 150 mg of caffeine. When you compare that to other energy beverages like Red Bull 150 mg’s of caffeine equates to quite a substantial amount, but nothing over the top. I will give the Rockstar review for kick a satisfactory 8.0. Not the best, but not too shabby. It can give you a kick that should last around 4 hours.

Tastes pretty good, gives a decent kick and comes in 16 ounce cans and only costs about $2.00. When you put all of the satisfactory elements together into a cheap energy beverage like this it turns out to be well worth it. I would recommend buying this because you get a good tasting kick for the money. I will give it a final judgment of 8.8.

Try the new Rock Star Juiced. It is tasty and wonderful and has juice, so it's got, like, vitamins and stuff. It also kept me buzzing in my office chair after a 9-hour work day.
This product was also developed b y Michael Savage (political commentator, and botanist) He gave the formula to his son Russell Weiner who took off with it. The formula is supposed to clean the liver while giving you energy.
I agree with the Juiced comment, because it tastes great and is much smoother than the origional Rock Star. The energy is just as good as No Fear in the Red & Black can.

This drink kicks ass. My job is very tiring and physical, so one of these on ice will get you where you need to go. its still great even without ice.

Alright, well I think I'm just going to actually comment on the fucking energy drink instead of bitching at who knows what and whos not a the biggest faggot on the internet.
The rockstar energy drink is okay. I found that if you chug it you'll get a good rush for an hour or two, but it seems way too short lived to be worth the price. The other rockstars arn't even good in comparison in my opinion. I like the rockstar burner because thats one of the original energy drinks I've had, but it still doesn't compare to a bawls or monster. Good energy drink, but there are better.
RockStar sucks. Badly. Imagine bubble gum mixed with puke. That's what it tastes like. if you're going to spend 2 bucks on a can of soda why don't you buy one that tastes good, like Monster Assault?

after drinking rockstar my heart sped up and i started to hypervenalate. dude, this has never happened with any other energy drink. i was so fucking jittery and i wouldnt crash for anything hours later. never will i drink this shit again.

I think it depends on the kind of body you have, Caroline was right but I wouldnt put it that way.
If you have a high metabolism your system will absorb it right away and do its job for more than 4 hours... the most it has done was about 6 hours for me and Im a regular size dude, it all depends on your metabolism... if you have a slow metabolism it wont do crap.

I usually drink 1 diet Rockstar daily. Diet, of course, because who needs the amount of sugar crammed into one of the regular drinks?? I sip my drink throughout the morning as I work and feel great - no jitters, no crashing... The taste is great too. My day simply is not the same without my diet Rockstar!!

really LOVE rockstar!! but when i tasted the roasted coffe & energy light vanilla. and it tasted like a wierd cough medicine and made me want to puke it was like taking a shot of pure vodka gagged right after a tiny sip lol! i know i weak but i wouldnt recommend it yuckie! but i love all other kinds but beware of the coffee kind!!!!
Rockstar Punched is my favorite - I drink one after work and it keeps me from wanting to nap. It's punch flavored (duh) but it reminds me of a cherry Slurpee! I've tried many brands and flavors but Rockstar punched seems to work best for me.
Hm... I'd have to say this is actually better than Monster (no offense to you Monster lovers). The taste is just slightly better, but the kick was definitely higher. I participate in water polo and competitive swimming and I burn hell of a lot of energy, and I'm usually tired by the end, Rock Star really helped me finish the rest of my day after my practice, Monster... not so much, so if you're looking for a good tasting drink with one hell of a kick; then pick up a can of this stuff, you won't regret it =]

I live in Ireland and Rockstar is in a few small stores. I tried one and its S*hit, complete cheap s*hip. Monster is also new here and its much better. I tried the green one - can't remember what its called, nice taste, all we had here before was the cough mixture called Red Bull !

I am sorry, but I really hate rockstar. I do not see how people can drink this crap. I have a friend who drinks like 3 a day (I dont know if this is true, but he loves it). I bought one at a gas station, two minutes later I went in and bought an amp because I could not down more than two sips of rockstar. So, because so many people like it, but I do not, I would say try it and see.
to first reviewer.. I think they ment that worked to help hangovers when you drink one the day of the hangover you retard I don't think they ment drink bud, vodka, rockstar bombs and it will help you in the quest of achieving absolutely no negative effects from booze drinking.

hey I live in Ireland and Monster has taken off here. Rockstar sells very cheap and nasty. It tastes VERY sweet here, they say its all sugar and no quality.

I drink Rockst*r exclusively. I've tried basically all the 'name brand' energy drinks(Monster, Red Bull, Amp, etc.) and this is by far my favorite. I do have to say that the JUICED rockst*rs are better, but I will gladly chug an original r-star any day.
This is crazy all the language about a drink that has caffeine in it. Why don't coffee drinkers sit around and use language about the coffee they are drinking. Well anyways I think rockstar is awesome, I drink alot of lowcarb rockstar to keep the calorie count down. I found that for me Monster energy drinks made me come down hard, with rockstar I don't get that effect, and redbull is to high in cost and to bitter for my taste.
When it comes to energy drinks it is like anything else to each is own. What I mean is from one person to another we all have different taste likes and dislikes.
So this goes out to Rockstar, Monster, Redbull, Amped, coffee drinkers, and anthing else out there with caffine in it drinks---- drink up and enjoy caffeine.

July 2010 - My fav Rockstar is by far the Pomegranate Juiced. I like to pretend I'm doing something good for my body by adding juice to my diet. But really, the juiced Rockstars mellow the drink, however they also tend to lower the caffeine content a little bit. So if you're just looking for a fruity drink with a punch, try this one.
The sugar free version of these taste way better imo. These leave a gross medicine type aftertaste in your mouth when u take a sip.
I was at a outdoor concert when they gave these away and I could not continue after the 1st swig. It was similar to REDBULL which is hard to drink because of the Medicine taste. MONSTER brands is the Best for the money.
