Energy Drink Ratings Explained
Amp Energy Drink - ReLaunch Review:
Alright the Amp Energy Drinks lineup just got a lot fuller with the addition of 3 new Energy Drinks including; ReLaunch (which I am reviewing today), Elevate and Traction. This is in addition to the original, sugar free, and overdrive Amp Energy Drinks. It's nice to see Amp diversify, so let's dig in and see what's up with the new 16 ounce ReLaunch. So first off the new Relaunch tries to revive or rehydrate you with the addition of electrolytes. Second, let's see how it performs in the taste and kick categories!
Amp Energy Drink - ReLaunch Review: Taste
So overall the drink is Orange flavored (as you can probably tell from the Orange Can). There are quite a bit of vitamins present in this drink, but I have to say it really did not hamper the orange soda flavor at all. You could taste a hint of this, albeit it was a slight medicinal aftertaste. Generally, you could compare it to a Orange Sunkist as far as flavor. I liked it and I think it makes for a nice addition to the lineup. The electrolytes also offer a nice touch, they seem to offset the carbonation level and offer a more refreshing taste. Taste Rating - 8.7
Amp Energy Drink - ReLaunch Review: Kick
So will the new Amp ReLaunch provide the kick you are looking for? Well there is a nice list of your typical energy ingredients that include; 160 milligrams of caffeine, taurine (minimal amount), guarana, b-vitamins and ginseng which pretty much puts it on par with the rest of the mainstream energy drinks like Monster and Rockstar and is pretty much the same as the other Amp flavors available. I am not sure if you can buy the "Big Rig" 24 ounce cans of this yet, if anyone knows feel free to chime in below in the comments section. So yeah, to sum up, you get a pretty decent kick from the 16 ounce ReLaunch. Kick Rating 8.7
Amp Energy Drink - ReLaunch Review: Final Judgment
Nice crisp, yet refreshing Orange flavor coupled with a pretty decent kick and a helping of electrolytes. Makes the new ReLaunch a nice addition to the Amp Energy Line up. Stay tuned for the review of the two other new flavors Elevate and Traction. Final Judgment - 8.7

Just tried this out today, and it was a lot better than I expected. I didn't really notice a buzz from the original amp, but this seemed to be better.
what electrolytes? I don't really see the electrolytes in Relaunch besides a small amount of sodium.
aren't all the AMP drinks like 12% B-vitamins or something?
They may be some of the better tasting energy drinks, but I can get a better KICK on the B-vitamins by eating a few fred flinstone chewables. They are just too expensive for what I get out of them.
I LOVE THESE!!! yet i hear they are discontining these, if they do ill be strongly dussapointed with pepsi company. everyone i talk to like it the best of all the amps and in our area its getting harder to get em. literly every store is sold out and they are discontinuing the product? sounds to me like they should rethink their marketing strategies. if this does get discontinued i will quit drinking all pepsi products.
I love amp relaunch (orange)me and my brother drink them religiously and are roofers gives us the energy we need without a crash and tastes the best all the other flavors are too overwhelming they have discontinued this drink and i have been to every store where i live to buy the last or be disappointed when they have every flavor besides orange relaunch this is because it kicks all others especially rockstar monster's asses i say wtf to you mountain dew i will never drink another pepsi product ever again i swear to god
I'm drinking one right now. No shortage of them in Texas. It definitely has the artificial orange taste. The aftertaste is similar to gummy orange candy with a hint of the regular amp thrown in. Overall it isn't bad but I prefer the regular amp better.
such a shame they discontinued these. Although it was a marketing failure on Pepsico's part. If you only have 1/2 of the convenience stores to put them on the shelves, and 1/10 of the big box stores to cary them in the 4 packs. I wish they would have done that with Pepsi instead, something that is not drinkable.
