Clamato Energy Drink Review
Well I didn't know anything about this particular Energy Drink when I first got it and I really don't know too much about the Clamato Energy Drink after trying it besides the taste and kick factors. I do know that the 15.5 ounce can is mostly in English but their are several logos and phrases splattered in Spanish. I believe (nutrition facts hard to understand) that this drink has only 90 calories in the entire can which is not too bad for an energy drink. That about sum's up my knowledge of the Clamato Energy Drink, so here is the results from the taste and kick reviews.
Clamato Energy Drink Review: Taste
Have you ever had a V-8? Do you like V-8? Well I have had a V-8 and am not a huge fan of the flavor so this might bias the taste review quite a bit as the Clamato Energy Drink tastes exactly like a V-8. You can't taste any medicinal ingredients at all as the V-8 taste over powers everything. Not really anything else to say when describing the taste. You are either going to like it or hate it depending on whether or not you like V-8. Taste Rating - 7.0 (as you can see I am not a huge fan of V-8, but to each his own!)
Clamato Energy Drink Review: Kick
The energy ingredients of this can include a decent amount of B-Vitamins, taurine, caffeine, Guarana and Ginseng. So the kick is not that bad, but it is nothing to jump about. I did get some energy from it, maybe 2 hours worth. At least I didn't have a energy crash. Kick Rating - 7.5
Clamato Energy Drink Review: Final Judgment
So it looks like they are marketing the Clamato Energia Drink towards the health conscious and spanish speaking markets. They do make a decent effort but some of the ingredients like high fructose corn syrup and tons of sodium are going to turn off the health conscious crowd even though it is 16% juice. Can't comment on how the Spanish speaking market will respond to this drink as I am not in that demographic. This one was not for me. On the other hand now that I think of it this could be a great addition to a Bloody Mary. Yeah, I like bloody Mary's, do you? Final Judgment - 7.3

Clamato is without a doubt the nastiest tasting energy drink on the market. Most drinks have an overly sweet taste, however this tastes like what it is - clam and tomato juice. The only energy factor I noticed was a sharp grimace and a sprint to the sink to spit it out. Rating: a negative 1 on a scale of 0 to 10!
Clamato is not a juice to be had alone, it's a MIXER. The most popular stirred cocktail in Canada is the "Ceasar" (Bloody Ceasar). You spice up he clamato with the usual bloody Mary spices, rim the glass with salt/pepper/spice, and garnish with a stalk of celery. Whether healthy or not, people seem to enjoy adding vodka to energy drinks, and this one looks like it was designed to make a kick-butt Ceasar cocktail.
My husband LOVES this energy drink because it does not taste like you are drinking anything other than v-8. If you love v-8 you'll love this drink. Period.
