Well I brought you the news last month about the highly controversial Cocaine Energy Drink from Redux Beverages. You can still only buy the cocaine energy drink in major metropolitan areas like Los Angeles and New York. Redux Beverages still does not offer the drink on their website. So where can you buy this beverage you might ask? E-Bay! That’s right for as little as $3.50 per can, sometimes less, sometimes way more, you can buy the liquid cocaine energy drink! So I did just that and here is what I think of it.
Cocaine Energy Drink Review: Taste
Too bad we have to start out with the taste review because I had high expectations for this drink. Unfortunately my expectations were not met as the beverage was less than stellar. The pink, and somewhat fruity drink has a very distinct taste that is hard to describe. Some comments by readers on my Previous Post on the Cocaine Beverage seem to think that it tastes like battery acid. Well I would not quite go that far, but there is a strong medicinal after taste (it actually starts the moment you start drinking) that really kills the fruity flavor. This might be the throat numbing sensation that Redux Beverages is talking about. This is not one of the better tasting drinks on the market. Gets a below average rating of 6.5.

Again I had really high expectations for this drink considering that Redux beverages stated that it has 280 milligrams of caffeine crammed into only 8.4 ounces. A couple of readers also stated that they enjoyed the kick, one even went so far as to say that the drink made them hot, which is usually associated with excess caffeine. Well I definitely felt the kick from all the caffeine. This drink gave me an "energy high" for about 6 hours and I did not have a crash when I was done. However it did leave me wanting more. The only other beverage that comes close in caffeine content is Wired X-294 as it has 294 milligrams of caffeine. However, you have to drink 16 ounces to get all the caffeine whereas with the cocaine drink you get 280 milligrams of caffeine in half the size. The kick rating is definitely a 10!
Cocaine Energy Drink Review: Final Judgment
The taste is not that good and right now it is hard to get your hands on. It gives you an incredible kick and definitely leaves you wanting more. Does this sound like anything else you have heard about? So maybe Redux Beverages named this drink what they did to gain media attention. Or maybe they just named the drink this because it has eerie similarities to its illegal counterpart? I will let you be the judge on that. My final judgment on this drink is an 8.5. Incredible kick, bad flava and poor distribution!

it's all in the delivery...no pun intended. a drink named COCAINE is probably it's only redeeming quality, but if it mimics a cocaine high, slightly... i'm in. for $5 bucks it is worth a try. and i hate energy drinks. self admitted sucka...let you know.. if i can get my hands on it..
Well, I just picked up 3 cocaine's from my local beer store in Dallas, TX. It is Jan 07 and it is the only store I saw it in. It was $2. I really enjoyed the taste. It taste almost identical to the Donkey Kick line of drinks. The after taste is more of a burn than a numbing feeling to me, but my wife described the opposite. The kick is ABSOLUTE and the crash was non existant. I give an overall of 9.5 based on it's small size and enormously large KICK IN THE ASS.

I had one the other day, got it a citgo, SO MUCH ENERGY!!! never crashed, made me cough, burns/ numbs ur throught, and leaves a wierd "big red gumish" after taste. it was less that 5 bucks for 2.... i have another one that im gonna drink tonight and then play the drums!!! if i make a video ill put it on myspace and then leave a link!!!

They're starting to crack down on Cocaine. Which sucks. I bought a 24 pack, and i sold it in school. It was less than 2 bucks when bought in bulk. the kids really liked it.
I think the taste was really really good. The burn wasn't that bad. I was expecting more of a burn.
After drinking it i felt really nervous. i couldn't stop shaking. being hyper is school is hard.
I have an enormous drug tolerance, fistfulls of tylenol does nothing for my pain, 3 monster xxl's don't give me any energy what-so-ever, I can drink at starbucks all day to no ill effect.
That being said, I rank this and couldn't stop shaking for about an hour. I get it for 2 bucks and I live in hicktown so I don't know what the "major metropolitan area" comment is about. Also, on their website they sell (well sold before the feds came in) a version called "Cut Cocaine" which is the same drink without that delightful battery acid burn that finishes it off.
The taste is advertised as "Carbonated Atomic Fireball" when you think of it that way, its enjoyable.. sort of.. This is seriously a junkies drink. the name had to be changed because some lawyers thought it was copying Coca Cola (seriously, am i missing something here?). I think its called "Insert Name Here" after being named, "Censored", then "No Name" this is ridiculous..
I just found this drink and love it....it actually seems to work and its only two bucks and isn't a huge amount of liquid. The kind I have at my local store is called Cut Cocaine....is there any difference between that and Cocaine??

"Cut" is the same thing, except without the burn. I haven't tried it yet since I actually like the burn that comes along with it. This drink is awesome. I can drink Red Bull can after can and it does nothing for me, but when I first had this drink, I had a can at around 6PM and didn't even start to get tired until about 3AM. I highly recommend this drink.
I looked everywhere in my area for this drink and no one had it so I ordered some off the companies site.
This drink rocks!!!!! it taste good and that surprised me since most energy drinks taste funky. As far as a rush goes, yea i noticed a increased rush of energy but nothing to the extreme that made me bounce off the walls.
I give it a 9.5 (would have gave it a 10 if the can was bigger since the lil 8.4 oz left me wanting more LOL) I have tried about every energy drink and shooter under the sun and none of them gave me any kind of boost. I did notice a slight boost from the bawls drink but crashed hard after it wore off. No crash from cocaine.
I have to also say like another poster mentioned, I have a high tolerence to most things so even though the other energy drinks and shooters didnt work for me, they may work great for others.
After read some otehr bullitens that said it was bad and people telling me it was bad, i got a little nervous when i went to drink my first one. but surprisingly i loved it, the burning sencation just added more of a kick the drink, if u can buy one buy it. lol
I have a whole 24 pack wo! (i ended up paying about $1.50 a can). But only 10 are left now haha. The taste is definately unique and takes 2 or so cans to get used to but after that it is tolerable and the burn is somewhat enjoyable.. But yeah, don't drink this if you are really tired and haven't eaten lately (it may give you a headache and not be able to see straight..). The energy buzz last a pretty long time and even after you think it's over you look at the clock and realize it's 4am and you're up still. Another warning, from personal experience.. be careful if you're going to drink this with vodka or other alcohol. You WILL get drunk faster and it can really creep up on you. + I've had some bad hangovers from it
Well to be honest i didnt like it so much. the taste was so terrible. the energy was good but u cant even compare it to the 5 hour energy. I had 2 cocaines at 9 and it only kept me goin till 2. 2 rockstars will keep u going longer than that!!!!! if i had to rate it it would be a 7.
Well this is my 70th energy drink, and I finally got it where I live in ontario. Well...intense. It burned my throat like hell, and tasted like ass, but what a kick. I worked out and played hockey, basketball, football..every sport..took my dog for a 2 hour walk. Biked across the city and back. And I still feel the energy. But will I ever buy it again? Hell no. I got bad chest pains. And I have a wicked headache, and it wasn't from the activity because it seemed like the pains activated right when I felt the rush. But this is definitly one of the strongest on the market that I've tried.
i bought a cocaine energy drink at the 7-eleven down the street the taste was very unexpected it tasted a lot like fruity battery and the after tasted was aful it burned yet made u just want more to numb the burn i give it a 2out 10 was not satisfied
it has a cinnamon taste with like a fruity almost gummy candy taste if you sip it its really good i think its one of the best but you can get em everywhere now.....
this is the best energy drink i have ever had. I love the burning it lets you know its working. it is so good... I think it is definatly something to get used to and not for the weak at heart. I give this drink a 10 out 10.. the taste is great the kick is great and the BURN rocks.. i can pick this up at any gas station near my house in grand rapids mi. im so excited i plan on buying on their webpage though its cheaper

spike energy has 300mg of caffeine in an 8.4 oz can
its all hype this tastes good but gave me no energy it realy does not live up to the hype

WOW, its been quite some time since i tired one of these and they are still not available at any stores around here.
this has been the only energy drink i have ever noticed any kind of kick from.
guess its back to ordering it online.

I don't know, it seems pretty odd that certain people don't feel a think from this, maybe it's a tolerance thing, or their bodies handle the ingredients differently.
I'm I'm the same situation as Scott. I've tried so many kinds of these drinks, all of them doing nothing what-so-ever for me. Never felt much different other than tired 2 min after drinking them.
Then one day I managed to get a free can of cocain from people handing out samples near a 7-11. I was extremely skeptical from what the people told me it would do. So I poped it open, and drank it down. First thing I noticed was it's taste, and then the sensation of burning in my throat. About 5 min later, I felt crazy awake. It was like all my senses and perception were on over drive! Such a crazy sensation. Ever since then I've been looking for a place that sells them, but have never been able to find any since.
I dont understand why people are coming down on this drink so hard. It's a delicious taste, it has a fun 'tickling' effect in your mouth/throught, and it gives you a great amount of energy. I think that after trying this and Brawndo, i will always go to Redux Beverages first when i need energy.

I tried a Cocaine Energy Drink for the first time this morning. What a kick. Gave me a caffiene high but no crash after. As far as the taste goes, they only way I can describe it is a handful of SMARTIES and a handful of REDHOTS crushed up and mixed with gasoline! It's really sweet, slightly cinnamon flavored and it burned going down.
which is better, "SPICY" or "MILD" cocaine? has anyone tried both the "blands"?
The taste reminds me of raspberry ginger ale, plus fire.
Unfortunately, I really didn't get this energy boost everyone is talking about. As a 90-lb female, I figured it would have a much more noticeable effect. :[
I had my first Cocaine a long time ago. It is KICK ASS! I was staying at my cousins, we had stayed up till 5:00Am playing videos games. His Girlfriend came over at 8:00. We are tired as hell and she wants us to go with her to the main street cafe for breakfast. we knew she wouldn't leave so we knew we needed something to wake up. We went down to the corner market and saw cocaine and decided to give it a try. soon as we walked out we popped em open and took a swig. Damn was the taste a shock. It had a decent flavor(not the best) and had a nice burn to it. by the time we walked to the end of the block we were already wide awake. over breakfast we finished them. We didn't go to bed until 11:30 that night. no crash what so ever. By far one of my favorite energy drinks ever!
Had it today at May 17 2010, and it has a decent flavor, but it burns the hell out of my throat. Its very intense...so intense, it makes an unpleasant feeling in the back of the throat.
I just had the mild today. Very nice. Same flavor but no burn. I don't mind the burn but my girlfriend doesn't so this was perfect for her. I'll take either one.Now she can enjoy the energy high, too. I just wish it was easier to find. It needs to be in every store so I can get when I need it.
