Energy Drinks and Alcohol
So what is the solution to the problem or lack of a problem of energy drinks and alcohol? Well I usually try to stay unbiased towards these types of situations but it seems that lawmakers as well as certain organizations have proposed several solutions like banning energy drinks containing alcohol and proposing stricter labeling requirements. I agree that the labeling on the energy drinks containing alcohol should be more clear as I myself have been confused at times but I do not condone banning these drinks. Besides every time I go into a convenience store the ED's with alcohol are in the cooler that contains alcoholic beverages. Another question is why are 12 and 13 year olds even downing ED's? I know I was hyper enough at that age, if I would of had an ED in my system that would have drove my parents crazy and they would have learned pretty fast that hey giving a hyper teen/pre-teen an ED is probably not a good idea. But hey that's basically my two cents. So feel free to chime in with your two cents on the topic of energy drinks containing alcohol or the ever popular topic of Age limits for buying ED's.
Below is a list of all alcoholic energy drinks that I know of off hand. Also feel free to contribute to this list as well as I am sure there are more out there.

I have seen the alcohol drinks mixed in with the regular eds a few times. Mostly they are separate though. Doesn't Mickeys malt liquor make an alcohol ed? I think it's called stinger. I've tried Tilt and sparks and they tasted awful.
well all of this stuff really opened mr 2 a whole new thing on energy drinks n i am thankful 2 know this info so that way i know not 2 go n buy thies 4 my youger siblings......

Hi, great site.
The reason that there is so much hype about energy drinks containing alcohol, is because some cultures aren't allowed to consume alcohol at all. for example muslims of all ages are forbidden from consuming even the slightest percent of alcohol, and so this would be a subject of great caution.
anyway im enjoying the site. cheers.
theres Zygo Peach Flavored Vodka with Taurine too it is pretty good it also has guarana, yerba mate, taurine and d-ribose(whatever that is)I guess a 750ml bottle contains 3000 mg. of taurine, it tastes even better when you add a little bit of red bull to it hmmm oh and i guess it's available in nearly 30 states now
Doesn't an energy drink + alcohol defeat the purpose of drinking alcohol.
Or is there nothing more entertaining than a hyper drunk! LOL
sparks is sooo good. they get you real drunk.
Joose! Big Cans, Cheap, Tastes Great and 9% alcohol. 2 cans = wide awake drunk!!!!
Sparks was my favorite but there is no more "energy" in Sparks (notice the + and - symbols missing from the cans and that there is no listing of the caffeine, etc. any more. Everyone can thank the 13 state attorney generals that sued Miller-Coors. I switched to Joose but if you can find a Four Loco you will definetly like it. Not as good as sparks was but better than Joose.
Four Loko was awesome. Loved it. I wish I could find a sugar free version. Anyone know of a brand that makes a sugar free energy drink with alcohol?
I am not against alcoholic energy drinks at all - but I am for better labeling on the cans. The cans do say that it contains alcohol - but in small print that some may not even pay attention to.
Also - just for drinkers knowledge...be aware of how much alcohol is actually in the drinks. It may be 1 can..but a 23.3 oz can of Joose (an increasingly popular beverage of choice for those just turning 21) is between 3.9 and 4.7 standard drinks depending on the alcohol content. I only thought it was about 2 maybe at the most.
And without nutrition labels...you never know how much caffeine and other stuff you are taking into your system on top of the alcohol.
Again, not against the drinks - just for drinking responsibly and for being informed.
These drinks were aimed at people with stroks they can tolarate it much better than people who haven't had a stroke.people with a stroke can not drink regular alcohol.
