Advocare Spark Energy Drink Review:
Today I will be reviewing the Advocare Spark Energy Drink...not to be confused with the alcoholic energy drink Sparks. The two in fact are complete opposites as today's review comes from a pretty well known health and wellness company that has hundreds of other products and is designed to give you a mental boost as well as long lasting energy. Which, I guess if you argued correctly the alcoholic Sparks might do as well... Anyways, Advocare Spark comes in packet form (15grams) and can be purchased on the Advocare site or through one of the many independent business associates. Anyways, let's check out the taste and kick.

Advocare Spark Energy Drink Review: Taste
So you have normal Energy Drinks, Energy Shots as well as mints, gums, candies, etc... But you also have on the go packets which seem to be an increasingly popular form of delivering energy... and this is exactly the form Advocare Spark comes in. Albeit it a quite large packet. Regardless the flavor is citrus based which has a pretty noticeable orange flavoring. Directions say to use 8 ounces of water, but previous experience with packet based energy drinks like this made me use almost 12 ounces to dilute the taste a little bit. Overall, as far as a packet based drink, I have to say Advocare did a great job... probably one of the better tasting MLM type drinks on the market. Taste Rating - 7.8
Advocare Spark Energy Drink Review: Kick
In past experiences with "business opportunity" based drinks, I have found the kick pretty much lackluster. But upon perusing the energy drink ingredient list of Advocare Sparks, I was pretty impressed as there is 120 milligrams of caffeine, 200 milligrams of taurine and a bunch of b-vitamins coupled with several other ingredients. No, 120 milligrams is not a ton of caffeine, it is actually a little below what seems to be the industry average, but overall the kick was refreshing. Definitely not a bounce off the walls jittery feeling, but enough to get me through the afternoon lull. Kick Rating - 7.7
Advocare Spark Energy Drink Review: Final Judgment
Overall not a bad drink, especially when you consider the price tag which hovers around $1.00 per pouch. Final Judgment - 7.7

There are five flavors of Spark energy: Citrus, Mandarin Orange, Grape, Fruit Punch and Cherry. There is also a Slam energy shot drink that comes in four flavors: Orange, Lemonaid, Fruit Punch and Strawberry. The Slams are great if you just want to drink one quick before working out, but the Spark does give the better long duration of energy.
I can tell you after trying a number of different "energy drinks" that this stuff works. It does give you energy that is long-lasting (for me a packet of it gives me enough energy for 6-7 hours but mileage may vary). Now this not the jittery, run through a wall type of energy but rather one that allows you to feel more focused than anything.
Spark also seems to give me a great feeling of calm (probably from the niacin in it). I prefer the orange flavor. The taste to me is like a diet Tang. They also have at least fruit punch flavor. I tried that one and it was pretty good too. Which is not bad at all really unless you're not used to Splenda/sucralose (that's what's mainly used to sweeten it).
You get them by the packet. Those come to about $1.25 each. So that's comparable to stopping in the QT and getting a Monster or a Party-Like-A-Rock-Star in price. However, you'll find they are much better and do a better job of giving you a focused energy. The downside though probably is that you have to buy a container of the powder or a box of the packets. I guess you get what you pay for. This stuff is far superior to the carbonated crap. I plan to buy more of these.
I tried this and I find it to work great, but I'm a little worried about the amount of caffeine I will consume over time.
Spark is a "FORMULA" not just a bunch of random ingredients thrown into a pouch. It would be important to NOTE the "intent" of the product. It is intentionally Low in Caffeine as it basically serves as a "carrier molocule" and the drink isn't designed to "kick", it's designed to SPARK your brains synapsis sequence. Thus the formulation and ingredient pattern. Look up the Doctors who actually formulate this stuff, it will BLOW YOUR MIND...in a good way.
I have tried this product and found it refreshing and true to it's claims of helping your focus and energy levels. Sugar free which is fast for me as I'm a diabetic, tastes great as well.
