So completely exhausted this morning after being sick the past couple days... which makes it a perfect time to review another Energy Shot. So today's victim, I mean shot is the Generator Energy Shot from Rhino Mike. Who is Rhino Mike? Well I researched their site, but I was not able to figure it out? Maybe they are talking about the MMA Fighter? If anyone knows please feel free to chime in below in the comments section. Anyways, back to the review... When I was researching the Generator Energy Shot I saw statements such as "The Perfect Energy Drink" and "14 cutting edge energy supplements" and "Generator fans have reported up to 12 hours of increased energy." Well, this little 2 ounce shot is a prime candidate for review. So let's put it to the test.

Generator Energy Shot Review: Taste
To me a perfect Energy Drink has to at least have a decent taste. Albeit not the deciding factor for me... it does help. So the label on the 2 ounce Generator shot bottle says "tropical blend." I may have to disagree with this statement. Although there is a blend, it did not taste tropical. There were fruity and somewhat tasty hints of flavoring, but there was a pretty strong medicinal aftertaste. The aftertaste was not so bitter where I wouldn't consider drinking one of these shots everyday... at least as long as it performed good in the kick category. Taste Rating - 7.7

So the taste was less than stellar, but will the kick "powered by 14 cutting edge supplements" be what I am looking for? Will it keep me pumped up for 12 hours as it did for other Generator Fans? Well, I am still pretty groggy from being sick the last couple days, so Generator has an uphill battle. Regardless the 14 "cutting edge supplements" include somewhat standard energy shot ingredients. The complete list of energy ingredients is: Acetyl L-Carnitine, B5 (Pantothenic Acid), B6, B12, Beta-Alanine, Caffeine, Glucuronolactone, Inositol, Niacin, L-Arginine, L-Phenylalanine, N-Acetyl L Tyrosine, Panax Ginseng and Taurine. Although a lot of these ingredients are somewhat standard, I don't think I have seen them all present in a single energy shot before. So was the little 2 ounce Generator Shot able to pick my lazy sick ass out of bed and keep me motivated at work? You bet it was. The kick was fast and furious and lasted for several hours. Now I didn't experience 12 hours of energy, but I am probably far from your typical user as I pump myself full of caffeine in pretty much any form I can get it. Still, a great kick. Well it may not be the perfect energy drink for me as I was not the biggest fan of the taste (albeit, taste is subjective). Nonetheless it performed in the category that counts the most... kick. Besides online, I am not sure where you can pick these up. Through the Generator store, you can pick up a 12 pack for $28 shipped to your door. So that equates to a little over $2 per bottle which seems to be pretty standard nowadays when buying in bulk. 5 Hour Energy Drink - Lemon Lime Review
I stated in my review of the original 5 Hour Energy Drink, that these guys had an outstanding kick for a little 2 ounce energy shot. The only thing that they needed to work on was the fact that there was a slight medicinal aftertaste to the shot and that you had to give it a thorough shake before consuming. Even with those taste issues, the wild berry shot from Chaser was more than worth it. Well turns out they have unleashed a new lemon lime flavor! So get ready for the new 5 Hour Energy Drink lemon lime flavor because here comes the review!

As I stated above, the taste of the original berry flavor was not going to win any taste awards but it was still worth every penny. However, there is a vast improvement with the new lemon lime flavored Five Hour Energy Drink. The new lemon lime has a slight tart flavor but still managed to be quite sweet, kind of like home made lemonaide that has a stronger lemon taste than the store bought kind. Overall the Five Hour Lemon Lime Energy Drink will get an improved taste rating of 9.0. Well done with the new flavor!

5 Hour Energy Drink - Lemon Lime Review: Kick
Well the taste is better than the original berry flavor and it turns out they did not tamper with the energy formula for the new 5 Hour Lemon Lime either. The original Berry flavored beverage made it into my Top 10 Energy Drinks article and it also made #1 in my article of the Strongest Energy Drinks. Since they did not mess with the formula at all, the new lemon lime flavored 5 Hour Energy is also still one of the strongest drinks I have tried. You get all that punch packaged into a tiny 2 ounce shot. I will give the new lemon lime flavor the same score as I gave the original berry flavored beverage, a huge 9.5 - so get ready for that five hours of rush!

Chaser 5 Hour Energy Drink Review: Final Judgment
The taste was improved and they did not tamper with the extremely strong energy formula. As I have stated several times through out this blog, the Five Hour Energy Drink remains my favorite. The addition of the new flavor only bolsters this feeling. BooKoo Wild Berry Energy Shot Review
Alright I have reviewed the BooKoo Energy Drink before and I was quite pleased with the results. My only beef was that the 24 ounce can was really hard to down in one sitting. This did however make for a good substitute for jager bombs! Well I don't know if the people at BooKoo read my review (I doubt it) but they did come out with an alternative. They not only have the 16 ounce version but they also have the BooKoo Energy Shot which is only 5.75 ounces and states 2X the power on the label. Well this could not have solved my problem any better, so here is what I think of the BooKoo Wild Berry Energy Shot!

Since I reviewed the citrus flavor before, I thought that I would give Wilb Berry a try. I know that you are supposed to slam the shot, but I tried drinking it slowly to make sure I could get a feel for the taste. Well the name on the can basically describes the taste. It has a distinct berry taste, actually a little bit of rasberry flavor lingers after drinking it! Though I did try drinking it slowly I ended up just slamming it. I mean it tasted good so I might as well just get what I bought it for, the energy! Overall for an energy shot I was quite suprised as they are cramming all the energy ingredients into a smaller can, but they still kept a great taste and there was very little medicinal aftertaste. Taste Rating - 8.4!

BooKoo Wild Berry Energy Shot Review: Kick
Good taste in a small can, but does it have 2x the power like the label suggests. Well, not exactly knowing what they are comparing the power too I just figured I would compare it to a normal energy drink. Turns out it does pack quite a punch! I know the 24 ounce version has a total of 360 mg's of caffeine but I am not sure how many mg's are in the shot version? Well either way the shot does pack a nice kick so I am assuming they pack a lot of caffeine in this little bugger. I was happy with the effects so I will give it a nice kick rating of 8.8.

Well if you are looking for a good tasting energy shot give the 5,75 ounce BooKoo a chance. I liked the taste and I liked the kick I got from it. I also like the price tag. You can pick up a case of 24 for only $32.00 at their site which equates to about $1.30. Good choice if you are just looking for the kick and are not worried about how much you are getting! I liked this drink, therefore I will give it a final judgment of 8.7!

These guys are going to corner the college market! First they give you the Chaser 5 Hour Energy drink so you have enough juice to go out and party all night, then to complement this they give you Chaser Plus Freedom from Hangovers so you don't get a hangover the next morning. What more could a college kid ask for, energy, booze and no headache? Well enough of that, onto the 5 Hour Energy Review.

This little two ounce bugger might not win a taste award but it is actually not too bad. This energy drink definitely tastes better than the comparable Rocket Shot Energy Drink. The good thing about this drink it is that it is only 2 ounces and it is in a nice berry flavor. If it was a 10 or 20 ounce drink I don’t think I could finish the whole thing. Again, a little warning. Before you slam this little bugger make sure you shake well, other wise you are going to get some flavor crystals in your last gulp. The Chaser 5 Hour Energy review for taste gets a good 8.5. After all it does taste better than the Rocket Shot Energy Drink. If you are not too fond of the berry flavor you can try out there new 5 Hour Lemon Lime flavor.

We established that the taste was not to bad, luckily for us the kick this little 2 ounce bugger gives off is tremendous. I would definitely say the claim of lasting for five hours is true. This is definitely on par, if not way better than the Bawls Energy that I reviewed earlier. In fact I would say that this energy drink gives off even more of a kick than the Bawls Drink. So a bigger kick in only 2 ounces! After saying that, The Chaser Five Hour Energy Drink review for kick gets a huge 9.5.

The taste was not the greatest but it was not to shabby either, but you only have to slam 2 ounces worth of berry flavor (or you can try the new lemon lime flavor as well). On the plus side the Five Hours of Energy that this little bugger gives off is huge. This has given me the most energy for the longest amount of time out of all the drinks I have tried so far. On top of that there was no energy crash! The bad thing about this drink is that it is $2.99, but buying in bulk does save you quite a bit of money. For the final judgment I would have to give the drink a high 9.5 because you get a huge kick in a little 2 ounce pack!

Want a quick burst of energy without slamming 10-20 ounces of liquid? If you answered yes, than the Rocket Shot energy drink will be perfect for you. What could be better than taking a shot that gives you quick energy? How about combining it with vodka? I didn't get around to it but it might be something to look into. Now onto the serious stuff that you all want to know about the Rocket Shot energy drink.

Rocket Shot Energy Drink Review: Taste
Well the Rocket Shot energy drink that I tried was berry flavored. Advisory, shake well before drinking! Alright it turns out there is a little work to be done before slamming this drink. You must shake it well before slamming; otherwise you will end up like me with a mouthful of tiny flavor crystals (and by flavor crystals I mean crap). Trust me the berry taste is not that good, especially if you forget to shake. The only positive thing about the berry flavor is that it only comes in 1.8 ounces, so the pain is over quickly. The Rocket Shot Energy Drink review for taste gets a 5.0. And that’s being nice, I am giving it the benefit of the doubt that it tastes better after being shaken.

Even though it tastes bad and only comes in 1.8 ounces, this little bastard puts out quite the kick. There was no waiting, I could feel the extra energy within 15 minutes of shooting this drink. It did not last quite as long as normal energy beverages (what do you expect from 1.8 ounces). I found myself day dreaming in psychology 101 about two hours after I was done. The Rocket Shot Energy review for kick gets an average 7.

Although I am glad this berry drink veered away from the overwhelming citrus flavor that most energy beverages use, I am not glad that it came with crystal crap at the bottom. It's like doing a shot of Goldschlauger, but multiply the floaters in that by 100. The kick from this drink was not too bad; it started right away and lasted a reasonable amount of time. The final judgment is a 6. I liked not having to chug 10-20 ounces to get a kick, but I was not too fond of the taste or price.
