Skin Lite Energy Drink Review

Skin Lite Energy Drink

Active Ingredients:Caffeine, Taurine, B-Vitamins
Taste Rating:9.1
Kick Rating:8.8
Final Judgment Rating:9.0
Energy Drink Ratings Explained

Skin Lite Energy Drink Review
Well a couple weeks ago I got the chance to review the original Skin Energy Drink which has been around since 1998. Well today I have the Skin Lite Energy Drink slated for review. As I stated in the previous skin review, this drink is from Skin Industries and seems to be geared / marketed towards the athletic crowd. The can design is pretty unique and it is competitively priced with the rest of the Energy Drinks on the market. So let's see how Skin Lite performs in the taste and kick categories!

Skin Lite Energy Drink Review: Taste
Well first off the original Skin drink was pretty tasty but I think the Skin Lite is much better as there does not seem to be as prevalent of a citrus taste which I am not always a fan of. The Skin Lite has a rather unique taste that is similar to a Hi-C Ecto Cooler (if you can remember that far back). Otherwise it also seems like a light version of the Nerd Energy Drink which has an awesome taste. So yeah I actually liked the lite version of this drink much better than the original. Not sure why, but maybe it has something to do with removing the sugar? It is also nice to know that all 16 ounces had a total of 10 calories which seems more on pace with pleasing the athletic crowd. Taste Rating - 9.1

Skin Lite Energy Drink Review: Kick
Well the taste is pretty good, in my opinion much better than the original Skin. However, the kick is pretty much the same in the lite and regular versions which in itself is not all that bad since the kick is comparable to what you would find in a Monster Energy Drink. The energy ingredients include; caffeine, taurine (not sure how much of either) as well as a bunch of B-Vitamins. Again not one of the strongest energy drinks on the market but definitely a good alternative to the more mainstream drinks out there. Kick Rating - 8.8

Skin Lite Energy Drink Review: Final Judgment
Great taste and pretty decent kick. All that in a competitively priced 16 ounce can that only has 10 calories total. I like it and would recommend giving it a try if you can find it. I am not sure where you can purchase these since I got samples sent to me, but if anybody knows please chime in because I would like to pick up a couple more. Final Judgment - 9.0

Crave Energy Drink

Crave Energy Drink
So what's the buzz behind this new Crave Energy Drink that I keep hearing about? I did a little digging after I had three people contact me regarding an Energy Drink Review. It turns out the Crave Energy Drink is distributed via Multi Level Marketing (MLM)kind of like the ACT Energy Drink. The official launch for this drink is going to be in Mid-December.

Crave Energy Drink - Finally Reviewed

A couple of the Crave Energy Drink claims stood out when I read them. First off they claim that it is safe for diabetics (low glycemic). This is backed up by the "Glycemic Research Institute" but I could not find a link to support it (so if any one has that link post it in the comments - and don't try to post a link to your personal Crave Energy Drink site because I won't allow it). Crave also states that it contains thermogenic technology. So it is supposed to burn fat for you sort of like the Celsius Drink. The market that Crave seems to be going after is the health conscious market. By making a healthy alternative to regular ED's they might have a chance even if it has multi level marketing distribution.

So in the next couple of weeks I should have the opportunity to do a Crave Energy Drink Review. I will let you know how it performs in the taste and kick categories as well as let you know the energy ingredients and calorie and carb content. I do know that this beverage has been getting a lot of press lately so hopefully it lives up to all it's hype. I know ACT had the same sort of media blitz and I was pretty impressed with it (at least the reformulated cans).

Stay tuned and feel to chime in below with your comments. And please remember, no shameless plugs or self promotions.

Buzzed Low Carb Energy Drink Review

Buzzed Low Carb
Cost: $1.49
Cost Per Ounce:$0.9
Active Ingredients:Caffeine, Guarana Extract, B-Vitamins
Taste Rating:7.8
Kick Rating:8.5
Final Judgment Rating:8.2
Energy Drink Ratings Explained

Buzzed Low Carb Energy Drink Review
Well today I was in a hurry so I left one of the Energy Drinks I had slated for review on the table. Which means in order for me to get my kick for the day I had to actually buy an energy drink. I needed to get gas as well so I headed to Kwik Trip. I found one that was called Buzzed. I choose the Buzzed Low Carb as I think I gained about 5 pounds this Thanksgiving Weekend. I really do not know much else about this drink besides that it is 16 ounces, costs $1.49 and come in regular and low carb. It also seems to be exclusively available at Kwik Trip.

Buzzed Low Carb Energy Drink Review: Taste
Well the taste on this cheap energy drink is very similar to a Monster Energy Drink with the only difference being that is is quite a bit sweeter. It is actually extremely sweet so the amount of artificial sweetener (Aspartame) used is maybe a little over the top. The tagline on the can "energy with a jolt" is misleading as they should specify that you actually are getting a jolt of sugar taste with a little citrus on top. But for $1.49 it is not horrible, but I don't think I will be trying the regular version as the sugar taste on that one would probably be over the top. Taste Rating - 7.8.

Buzzed Low Carb Energy Drink Review: Kick
Strong sugar taste followed by a pretty decent kick. Buzzed is definitely not one of the Strongest Energy Drinks on the market but it is not too shabby as it is comparable with the likes of a Rock Star Energy Drink. The energy ingredients include Caffeine, Guarana Extract (not sure how much of either) and B-Vitamins. Kick Rating - 8.5

Buzzed Low Carb Energy Drink Review: Final Judgment
Non-original sugar filled citrus taste followed by a somewhat decent kick. At least there was no sugar crash associated with this one. After all is said and done, $1.49 is not a bad price for this drink. I think $0.99 would get more repeat customers. If you know of another place to get this drink besides Kwik Trip please chime in. Final Judgment - 8.2

Deep Throat Energy Drink Review

Deep Throat Energy Drink
Cost:$2.00 - case $40.00
Cost Per Ounce:$.025
Active Ingredients:Caffeine, Taurine, Guarana, Taurine
Taste Rating:8.6
Kick Rating:8.4
Final Judgment Rating:8.8
Energy Drink Ratings Explained

Deep Throat Energy Drink Review
Well this one definitely has a unique name for an Energy Drink. I mean how do you ask your buddy if he wants a deep throat? Just kidding. This product takes it's name from a 1972 adult film. Now I have never seen the film but from what I can tell from reading about it on the internet is that it is supposedly a classic. Well let's see if the Deep Throat energy drink can become a classic.

Deep Throat Energy Drink Review: Taste
Well first off the little 8.4 ounce drink marketed by Arrow Productions has a pretty cool can. So will the taste follow suit? Well the taste is pretty similar to a Red Bull like flavor. It does however seem that there is more of a fruity aftertaste instead of the medicinal aftertaste that Red Bull provides. I also checked on the website to see if they had any mix drink concoctions and sure enough. Some of these mixed drink names are "Nutty Deep throat" and "Deep Throat N Blue Balls." I did not get a chance to try any of them but I am sure it would make a good mixer. Overall not too, bad. Red Bull like taste without the crappy aftertaste. Taste Rating - 8.6

Deep Throat Energy Drink Review: Kick
Well the taste is not too bad but how about the kick. Well the tag line says "Keep it Up All Night" but I am not sure that it has to do with any energy ingredients as they include 75 milligrams of caffeine, 1,000 milligrams of taurine, 50 milligrams of Guarana extract, panax ginseng and a bunch of B-Vitamins. Well do the ingredients work? Well it is not one of the strongest energy drinks on the market but it delivers more of a kick than Red Bull. Kick Rating - 8.4

Deep Throat Energy Drink Review: Final Judgment
Good taste, decent kick. While there is nothing extraordinary about the taste and kick of this drink, the shock value of drinking one of these instead of a Red Bull is probabaly worth it. I am not sure what stores you can purchase these at. The only place I know of where you can get one is at the Deep Throat energy drink store. They sell them in 4 packs, 6 packs and by the case. $40 for a case of these is worth it. Give your guests a free deep throat at your next party instead of a Red Bull :). Final Judgment - 8.8 (added points for shock value!)

Hype Enlite Energy Drink Review

Hype Enlite
Cost: $1.50
Cost Per Ounce:$0.18
Active Ingredients:Caffeine, Taurine, B-Vitamins
Taste Rating:9.1
Kick Rating:8.8
Final Judgment Rating:9.0
Energy Drink Ratings Explained

Hype Enlite Energy Drink Review
Well it has been quite some time since I had the opportunity to review a Hype Energy Drink but the last one I reviewed, Hype MFP was more than pleasing. So today I am going to give the Hype Enlite a try and see if it holds up to the high standards of the rest of the lineup. Now I may not be Hype Enlite's target audience as the 8 ounce can is pink and seems to be targeted at the female gender, but I am going to give it a try anyways. Besides having only 25 calories for the entire can will give me a break from the normal 100-200 calorie Energy Drinks that I normally have. This beverage also seems to support breast cancer awareness through youth projects. Well enough fluff and onto the review.

Hype Enlite Energy Drink Review: Taste
I thoroughly enjoyed all the past Hype Beverages and the same goes for the new Hype Enlite. This new one seems to have a berry flavor, maybe raspberry with a hint of cranberry. Not exactly sure on the berry flavor but the combination is quite refreshing and the level of carbonation seems to be spot on. I really did not taste any bitterness as this drink seems to be more on the sweet side, but not too sweet like some Sugar Free Energy Drinks that use too much artificial sweetener. I myself personally liked the original and MFP Hype flavors a little better, but taste is subjective. Either way Hype Enlite is a great addition to the lineup and the taste is something to be proud of. Taste Rating - 9.1

Hype Enlite Energy Drink Review: Kick
Alright the taste is very refreshing, but how does the kick hold up. Well there is 80 milligrams of caffeine, 1000 milligrams of taurine and a bunch of b-vitamins that when coupled together give a healthy kick. Now the kick is not going to be one of the strongest on the market, but it is more than enough to get the job done. The sugar free aspect of this beverage also means that you are not going to get a energy crash an hour or two down the road. The energy just tapered off slightly over about a 4 hour time span which is pretty decent. Kick Rating - 8.8

Hype Enlite Energy Drink Review: Final Judgment
Hype has been around since 1994 and you can see this in their energy lineup. Before this drink I reviewed two of their previous products (Original & MFP), both ended up being instant favorites. While the Hype Enlite may not be targeted specifically at me, the drink lives up to the Hype standard and I would highly recommend picking one up and giving it a try as it should be well worth the $1.50. Final Judgment - 9.0

Bing Energy Drink Review

Bing Energy Drink - 12 Ounce Can
Cost: $1.99
Cost Per Ounce:$0.17
Active Ingredients:Caffeine, Taurine, Guarana Extract, B-Vitamins
Taste Rating:9.4
Kick Rating:8.8
Final Judgment Rating:9.1
Energy Drink Ratings Explained

Bing Energy Drink Review
Well I have reviewed over 200 + Energy Drinks so far and the Bing Energy Drinks seems to be quite unique and it seems to be a healthier alternative to other energy drinks. So what makes this 12 ounce Bing Energy Drink unique. Well the make up of the drink including calories and ingredients sets this one off. First off there are only 40 calories in the entire 12 ounce can so it is somewhat of a cross between a regular and diet energy drink. Three other ingredients also set this drink apart. One is Acai Berries which are a popular source of anti-oxidants. Your right, there are other drinks out there with Acai Berries, but there are not too many that also have flax seed oil which is a source of fiber and also beneficial in lowering cholesterol levels. The last is the Bing Cherry itself which is also an anti-oxidant and source of potassium which can help alleviate cramping for athletes. So the Bing Energy Drink does bring a couple unique ingredients to the table, but how does it perform in the taste and kick categories?

Bing Energy Drink Review: Taste
Well first off this drink is made with Black Bing cherries. It only contains 5% juice from these cherries but mix makes for a great tasting drink. I have had Cherry Bawls (just yet to do a review on it) and all I can say is that the Bing Energy Drink has a much more appealing taste. I don't know if I appreciate it more since I live somewhat close to Door County, WI (which produces excellent Bing Cherries!), but the taste is definitely one I enjoyed. If you have ever had any sort of black cherry beverage than you are sure to enjoy the taste of this one. I know I have yet to review an energy drink with similar taste. No medicinal aftertaste in this one either. Taste Rating - 9.4

Bing Energy Drink Review: Kick
Well the black bing cherry flavor is quite tasty and refreshing and the people at Bing did not skimp in the energy category either. With 120 milligrams of caffeine, 1000 milligrams of taurine, guarana seed extract, plethora of B-Vitamins and ginseng root extract this drink delivers a more than adequate kick. Although it is not among the strongest energy drinks out there it delivers plenty of kick to get you moving. The addition of the above mentioned ingredients (acai, flax seed) also makes Bing a healthier alternative to other ED's. Oh and did I mention they use Cane sugar (healthier alternative to regular sugar). No energy crash here! Kick Rating - 8.8

Bing Energy Drink Review: Final Judgment
A very good taste and an above average kick combined with flax seed and acai berries for a healthier alternative makes bing a viable choice for an everyday pick me up. Don't forget about there being only 40 calories in the entire 12 ounce can! I wish they were more readily available in my area, but it looks like the only place I will be able to pick another case of these up (at least for now) is online (unless you live in Colorado). So if you are looking for a new ED to try, look no further than this one. I believe you can pick up a case of 24 12 ouncers for about $40 delivered to your door! Final Judgment - 9.1

Sidenote: I actually enjoyed this one so much that I drank 4 of them over the weekend. Usually I rotate between ED's!

Energy Drinks and Alcohol

Well the hottest topic these days in the Energy Drinks market seems to be energy drinks and alcohol. Why is this such a big deal all of a sudden? I mean energy drinks containing alcohol have been around for quite some time and I have reviewed several of them. But why is this topic gaining all kinds of media attention and hype? Well once the big boy's like Rockstar figured out they were leaving behind an untapped market, things got a little hectic as distinguishing between the non-alcoholic and alcoholic versions of these drinks became somewhat confusing. Turns out teens and even pre teens were being allowed to purchase energy drinks containing alcohol. In one instance the mother of a 12 or 13 year old bought her child an alcoholic energy drink (who's fault is that?).

So what is the solution to the problem or lack of a problem of energy drinks and alcohol? Well I usually try to stay unbiased towards these types of situations but it seems that lawmakers as well as certain organizations have proposed several solutions like banning energy drinks containing alcohol and proposing stricter labeling requirements. I agree that the labeling on the energy drinks containing alcohol should be more clear as I myself have been confused at times but I do not condone banning these drinks. Besides every time I go into a convenience store the ED's with alcohol are in the cooler that contains alcoholic beverages. Another question is why are 12 and 13 year olds even downing ED's? I know I was hyper enough at that age, if I would of had an ED in my system that would have drove my parents crazy and they would have learned pretty fast that hey giving a hyper teen/pre-teen an ED is probably not a good idea. But hey that's basically my two cents. So feel free to chime in with your two cents on the topic of energy drinks containing alcohol or the ever popular topic of Age limits for buying ED's.

Below is a list of all alcoholic energy drinks that I know of off hand. Also feel free to contribute to this list as well as I am sure there are more out there.

Syzmo Prickly Pear Energy Drink Review
It has been over a month since I reviewed the original Syzmo Energy Drink so today I thought I would review the Prickly Pear flavor. What makes Syzmo different than all the other Energy Drinks out there? Well first off it is certified Organic by Quality Assurance International, Inc. Which basically means that there are no synthetics or organic sweeteners as well as no preservatives at all in this beverage. Another interesting thing I read while on the Syzmo Website is that it has a Glycemic Index Rating of 30 which is better than your normal everyday juice. So I know I enjoyed the original, but let's see if Syzmo Prickly Pear holds up in the kick and taste tests.

Syzmo Prickly Pear Energy Drink Review: Taste
First off I would like to say that Prickly Pear seemed like an odd flavor. But hey, I will try anything once. Besides it has Blue Agave in it which made the original Syzmo very refreshing. So what does Prickly Pear taste like? Well it actually (at least to me) tasted like it had a sweet apple / pear flavor with the blue agave as a sweetener. What does this mean? Well it is basically a very light and crisp citrus type flavor that is not overwhelming, but is actually very refreshing. In the end you get somewhat of a bite. However, I don't think the bite is from any medicinal aftertaste. I think it was just designed to taste this way. Either way it is done quite well and I would recommend giving this unique flavor a try. Taste Rating - 9.0

Syzmo Prickly Pear Energy Drink Review: Kick
Well the Prickly Pear flavor has a unique and refreshing taste, but will it give you the kick you need? Well with energy ingredients including Guarana Extract, B-Vitamin, green tea extract, yerba mate and organic caffeine you better believe it. Those are some pretty strong energy ingredients and they do deliver a substantially powerful, yet healthier organic kick. That's right a healthier kick. No jitters here which is a good thing as it would definitely offset the refreshing taste. Overall pretty good. Kick Rating - 8.8

Syzmo Prickly Pear Energy Drink Review: Final Judgment
I know I say this a lot but I like having the choice of a healthier energy drink since I drink them all the time (usually 2 or more per day). There are only two things that I know of that would improve this drink. One would be to offer it in a larger size (the 12 ounces goes pretty quick since it is so refreshing) and two offer a diet version without killing the good taste. That being said give the Syzmo lineup a try, they are two for two so far in my reviews! Final Judgment - 9.0

Energy Drink Ratings Explained

Monster M-80 Energy Drink Review
Well it has been awhile since I reviewed a Monster Energy Drink. Actually it has been quite awhile since the last one I actually had was the Java Monster Energy Drink. So today I thought I would pick myself up a 16 ounce Monster M-80 which is Monster's version of an energy juice. What does the 80 stand for? Well it stands for the amount of juice, 80% that is in this beverage. In actuality 80% juice in energy drinks is not all that bad considering some juice drinks (non-energy) have only 10% real juice. This one also has 10% more juice than the popular Khaos. Alright, enough fluff let's put Monster M-80 to the taste and kick tests.

Or take a look at the other reviews from Monster
Monster Hitman - Energy Shooter
Khaos
Lo-Carb
Assault
Monster Energy Drink - Original

Monster M-80 Energy Drink Review: Taste
It's a juice, so I thought I would have this one for breakfast to get an early morning kick. Well the flavoring is definitely original as it has a tropical blend of flavors where pineapple definitely stands out. There is kind of a tart aftertaste to this drink. I am not sure if it is from the medicinal aftertaste of the energy ingredients or if it is just designed to have a tart flavor. I think I will go with the latter as the tropical flavor is really not that sweet. Overall it is a pretty decent juice. One of these days I will have to pick up another M-80 as this drink would probably blend well as a mixer. Either way a good tasting juice, even with the slightly tart flavor. Taste Rating - 8.9

Monster M-80 Energy Drink Review: Kick
Well the tropical tart taste is pretty good, but how does the kick stand up to the rest of the Monster Energy Drinks? Well the laundry list of energy ingredients includes a 2500 milligram blend of L-Carnitine, Glucose, Caffeine, Guarana, Inosistol, Taurine, Panax Ginseng and a bunch of B-vitamins. Double that 2500 milligram blend and you get 5000 milligrams of energy ingredients which is what you would get if you consumed all 16 ounces (which I did). Now I am not sure of the actual caffeine content, but it looks like it is the same as all the other Monster drinks (about 160 milligrams). So yeah, the kick is not too bad. It will definitely wake you up more than a cup of OJ. Kick Rating - 8.8

Monster M-80 Energy Drink Review: Final Judgment
Not too bad for an energy juice. I liked this one slightly more than the comparable Khaos from Monster. But what do I know taste is pretty much subjective and I would imagine a lot of people would disagree with me on this one. The kick is also not too shabby and definitely did the trick for me and got me moving in the morning. All in all a pretty good beverage that is worth at least one try. Heck, I might even get another one to try as a mixer (which I am not condoning). Final Judgment - 8.9

Energy Drink Ratings Explained

Colombian Power Energy Drink Review
Well today I thought I would give the Columbian Power Energy drink a try. I really don't know too much about either the company or drink. I do know that it only looks like there is one flavor of Columbian Power that currently only comes in a 8.4 ounce can. The can design it self seems pretty simple but I believe this is what they were going for and in my opinion they really pulled it off. Definitely an out of the ordinary can that I have not seen in any of my past 200 + energy drinks that I have reviewed. So enough mindless fluff, let's see how this drink performs in the taste and kick category.

Colombian Power Energy Drink Review: Taste
My initial impression of this drink was that it was going to be your basic energy drink taste (i.e. Redbull Energy Drink). Now that is somewhat true as the flavor is very similar to Red Bull; however, there seems to be less carbonation in Columbian Power and just a hint of apple flavoring. There is some medicinal aftertaste present but it is far less prevalent than the like of Red Bull. Overall Columbian Power is pretty good in the taste category and if you like the basic energy drink taste than this is for you. However as I have stated in the past, I am not a huge fan of Red Bull so I was not impressed by Columbian Power. It is better than Red Bull, but so are 90% of the other drinks out there. Taste Rating - 8.0

Colombian Power Energy Drink Review: Kick
Well the taste is along the lines of a Red Bull, so hopefully the kick is at least a little stronger. The energy ingredients include Caffeine, Taurine and B-Vitamins. Again very similar to Red Bull. Now the exact amount of caffeine is not listed on the can, but I am going to assume it is also similar to the 80 milligrams that Red Bull contains. So you do notice a kick, however, it is far from being one of the Strongest Energy Drinks out there. At least there was no noticeable sugar crash. Kick Rating - 8.2

Colombian Power Energy Drink Review: Final Judgment
Very comparable to Redbull in both the taste and kick categories. The taste does seem to have a slight apple taste to it and the carbonation is less that Red Bull, but other than that it is not much different and only slightly better. Then again, my review could be skewed as I am not a fan of Redbull flavored drinks in general. Give it a try and let me know what you think. Final Judgment - 8.1

XO Grape Energy Drink Review

XO Energy Drink - Grape
Cost: $1.69 - $1.99

Taste Rating:9.0
Kick Rating:8.9
Final Judgment Rating:9.0
Energy Drink Ratings Explained

XO Grape Energy Drink Review
Well it has been quiet awhile since I reviewed an XO Energy Drink as I have been kind of busy with projects. However, last night was the perfect night to bust out an XO energy drink as I had back to back indoor soccer games after a 10 hour work day. Why do I say that? Well as I stated above I have reviewed several of these before and know that the instant kick and added carbs makes a great workout drink, so why not put it to the test again! The XO Grape energy drink comes in a 180 milliliter (6 ounce) plastic bottle that is fully resealable as do the others. So enough fluff and onto the review of XO Grape.

Official Site:XO Energy Drinks

XO Grape Energy Drink Review: Taste
Well is says grape on the bottle and that is pretty much how it tasted (Great taste review right!). Well I can expand on it by saying the grape flavor is relatively sweet. Combine that sweet flavor with the fact that there is no medicinal aftertaste and I mean absolutely none and I think this is my new favorite XO Flavor. I take that back, I also really enjoyed the Vanilla XO as well. I also like the fact that so far all XO energy drinks have tasted great at room temperature. Taste Rating - 9.0

XO Grape Energy Drink Review: Kick
I liked the taste and as I mentioned above I choose the XO Grape to consume before two back to back indoor soccer games because I know it works for athletic performance. Why does it work? Well the energy ingredients include 47 milligrams of caffeine, 800 milligrams of taurine and 2 milligrams of B6. So no it is not a lot of caffeine but that is the last thing I want when participating in any sports. The bulk of this energy seems to come from the 26 grams of carbohydrates. So you get a quick initial burst of energy from the caffeine, taurine and b-vitamins and a sustained energy from the carbs. Works for me! Kick Rating - 8.9

XO Grape Energy Drink Review: Final Judgment
Great taste that you can drink at room temperature and a quick and sustained energy that is suitable for athletes. Oh yeah and the price tag is not too bad as you can pick one of these up for around $1.69. Check back in for the last XO review of the berry flavor. Final Judgment - 9.0

Energy Drink Ratings Explained

BooKoo Punch Energy Drink Review
Well it has been quite some time since I reviewed a BooKoo Energy Drink. So far I have reviewed 6 varieties and I have to say I was pretty pleased with all of them, especially their energy shots. So when I saw one at the new BooKoo Punch Energy Drink at the gas station I could not resist, I had to buy one. So let's see how the 16 ounce BooKoo Punch fairs in the review!

BooKoo Punch Energy Drink Review: Taste
I was pretty confident that I knew what this BooKoo would taste like. The drink is labeled as punch so I figured that is what I would be getting. The only question was whether or not it would be a good punch or a medicinal tasting punch. Fortunately for BooKoo they made an excellent Fruit Punch flavor that not only tasted good but also had a pleasant punch smell. It was topped off with just the slightest bit of carbonation, making the exotic fruit flavors taste even better. So as I stated above, I was pleased with the current line up of BooKoo energy drinks, but the BooKoo Punch flavor is a nice addition to the lineup and is now my favorite from BooKoo. Just wish I would of found this one earlier. Taste Rating - 9.0

BooKoo Punch Energy Drink Review: Kick
As with the past reviews I am not sure exactly how much caffeine is the BooKoo Punch. However, I do know that there is over 2000 milligrams of taurine, a whole bunch of Panax Ginseng and a plethora of B-Vitamins. So when you add those to the undisclosed amount of caffeine, you end up with a pretty decent kick. Not over the top, but definitely worth it and by all means better than a Red Bull Energy Drink. Hopefully they will make the punch version in 24 ounces and their 5.75 ounce shot as well. Either way the 16 ouncer did the trick for me. Kick Rating - 8.8

BooKoo Punch Energy Drink Review: Final Judgment
Great taste, great kick. I look forward to the possibility of trying this drink as a 5.75 ounce energy shot. I would also like to get my hands on another one of these Punch flavored BooKoo's so I can try it as a mixer. My guess is it would go good with vodka (If you are going to mix energy drinks and alcohol remember not to overdo it and to have a designated driver). Nice addition to the lineup. Final Judgment - 8.9

Skin Energy Drink Review

Active Ingredients:Caffeine, Taurine, B-Vitamins
Taste Rating:8.3

Final Judgment Rating:8.5
Energy Drink Ratings Explained

Skin Energy Drink Review
Well today I thought I would try out the Skin Energy Drink from Skin Industries. I was surprised I had not heard of them before since they have been around since 1998. This drink seems to be highly targeted towards the athletic crowd, at least that is my take on it since their website lists tons of athletes that endorse the drink. Either way the 16 ounce can looks pretty cool, has a cool name and is competitively priced with the rest of the market. So let's see how the Skin Energy Drink compares to the rest of the Energy Drinks on the market.

Skin Energy Drink Review: Taste
Well this 16 ounce drink has a pretty straightforward taste as it is comparable to the market leaders. It almost seems like a cross between Red Bull and Rockstar Original. The only difference seems to be that there is a slight citrus aftertaste to the drink instead of the medicinal aftertaste you normally get from the market leaders. Although the taste is nothing new, the improvements are very much appreciated. So if you are a fan of Monster, Redbull or Rockstar I suggest you give the Skin Energy Drink a try. Also looks like they have a low calorie sugar free version as well called Skin Lite. Taste Rating - 8.3

Skin Energy Drink Review: Kick
So the taste is better than the market leaders, but how does Skin Energy compare in the kick category? Well the drink's list of energy ingredients includes caffeine, taurine and b-vitamins. So again quite similar to the market leaders in the energy ingredient listing as well. After finishing the 16 ounce can I was definitely amped up. So Skin does give you a good kick which I would say is comparable to a regular Monster Energy Drink which is not the strongest on the market, but has plenty of kick to achieve your desired results of more energy! Kick Rating - 8.8

Skin Energy Drink Review: Final Judgment
Improved taste and comparable kick when compared to market leaders like Redbull, Monster and Rockstar. Skin Industries has been around since 1998, too bad I have not heard of it earlier as it would make an exceptionally substitute for many of today's standard energy drinks. That being said stay tuned for the review of the Skin Lite Energy drink as well. Oh yeah, I like the tag line on the bottom of the can... "Don't be a jerk. Recycle" Final Judgment - 8.5

Energy Drink Ratings Explained

Game Juice Energy Drink Review
It's a new month so it's time to get going on some new reviews of Energy Drinks. Today the review falls on the 16.9 Game Juice Energy Drink. Why is it called Game Juice? Well since it was designed by gamers for gamers, the name just makes sense and the product just looks like it is going after the serious gamers, you know the ones that sit and play PS3 or Xbox 360 for hours and hours at a time. One thing Game Juice has going for them already is that the bottle is resealable and is shaped somewhat like a gaming controller which is kind of neat. This drink was also made to help the gamer get an edge on the competition by helping you become more alert, focused, and energized when you're playing your favorite game. So let's see how Game Juice Impact performs in the review.

Game Juice Energy Drink Review: Taste
After the first sip I could tell right away that there were some similarities to the Amp and Mountain Dew MDX energy drinks. The only difference seems to be that Game Juice Impact does not have the same medicinal bite as the aforementioned. Maybe because it is made with real sugar? Not sure, but if you like a citrus flavored drink that is along the lines of AMP or Mountain Dew than I recommend you give this one a try as the flavor is significantly better than either as it has less carbonation and more of a refreshing taste which hides the medicinal ingredients. Taste Rating - 8.5

Game Juice Energy Drink Review: Kick
Well it tastes good but does it provide that ample kick to get you to the next level? Well I am not a serious gamer, but I do work on a computer quite a bit. While not exactly the same this is how I will put the Game Juice to the test as staring at a computer for eight plus hours is similar to gaming for an extended period of time. So the energy ingredients include Taurine, Caffeine and B-Vitamins. The effects were not too bad. I drank the whole bottle and felt a pretty good kick that lasted several hours and did not have a crash. It's definitely worth a try. Kick Rating - 8.6

Game Juice Energy Drink Review: Final Judgment
Overall this drink is not too bad. The taste is recognizable and comparable to past energy drinks; however, it is a little more refreshing and contains a significantly less medicinal aftertaste. The kick although not the strongest, was more than enough to keep me focused and going for quite some time. I can see this being a niche energy drink that could do very well once gamers find out about it. I would recommend giving it a try if you are going to pull an all night guitar hero session. Final Judgment - 8.6
