Crave Energy Drink
So what's the buzz behind this new Crave Energy Drink that I keep hearing about? I did a little digging after I had three people contact me regarding an Energy Drink Review. It turns out the Crave Energy Drink is distributed via Multi Level Marketing (MLM)kind of like the ACT Energy Drink. The official launch for this drink is going to be in Mid-December.

A couple of the Crave Energy Drink claims stood out when I read them. First off they claim that it is safe for diabetics (low glycemic). This is backed up by the "Glycemic Research Institute" but I could not find a link to support it (so if any one has that link post it in the comments - and don't try to post a link to your personal Crave Energy Drink site because I won't allow it). Crave also states that it contains thermogenic technology. So it is supposed to burn fat for you sort of like the Celsius Drink. The market that Crave seems to be going after is the health conscious market. By making a healthy alternative to regular ED's they might have a chance even if it has multi level marketing distribution.
So in the next couple of weeks I should have the opportunity to do a Crave Energy Drink Review. I will let you know how it performs in the taste and kick categories as well as let you know the energy ingredients and calorie and carb content. I do know that this beverage has been getting a lot of press lately so hopefully it lives up to all it's hype. I know ACT had the same sort of media blitz and I was pretty impressed with it (at least the reformulated cans).
Stay tuned and feel to chime in below with your comments. And please remember, no shameless plugs or self promotions.

Really I have not seen these powdered energy drinks taking off much. I have tried a couple but was not impressed. I'm also leary of the MLM bit since it screams uncool loudly and will probably turn a lot of people off to it. I have seen a few others go this route XS and Act and neither on has really caught on in the market from what I have seen
The website that has the certification links is:

This site, though, is undergoing major modifications before the launch, and is down.
I know a lot of people don't like network marketing. And I totally understand that. I avoided it for 15 years myself. The problem is that some of the big players screw things up. Bottom line, if you have a decent product at a decent price, network marketing can be a good distribution channel.
Where network marketing may help launch a powdered energy drink is that it will get it in the hands of a lot more people. There will be thousands of distributors all over the US who will be giving samples to friends and family, who might have not purchased one retail at a gas station, etc.
Anyway, even though I'm a distributor (and hence can truly be impartial) I'd be happy to discuss Crave on its merits. I have a Ph.D. in chemical engineering, and every once in a while can think rationally. :-)
Lastly, the retail cost for Crave is $1.50 for a 2-serving powder stick.
Could this be the link for the
Glycemic Research Institute you were hunting for?
I appreciate that you're going to offer us a volume-qualified opinion here. My understanding is that Crave's final formulation has been tweaked by one of the developers of Red Bull. Could be interesting to see how it might differ from that too, eh?
Where do you fall on the 'powdered energy drink' scale? Like 'em? Dislike 'em? I only want to market something people appreciate, 'ya know? I guess that's why the 'tester' approach feels like an authentic (non-hypey) way of marketing.
Luckily, Vitamark is one of those rare MLM companies that sells its products at a true retail price. Customers are treated like um ... customers. Novel, eh?
Thanks again for acting as a 3rd party resource :)
Make it a great day!

22 More Energy Drink Testers Needed
Hey ED Blogger! Stay Tuned for more info, at the Vitamark Website. Click on the Crave Info link. or have the emails sent to you directly by putting yourself on the mailing list, That's what the Crave Big Money Info site is for. The Original Formulation is a go, The V-Sweet is scheduled for a later Release. Some are still advertising it, They probably weren't in on the Sunday Meeting with Art Jonak. Both formulations will be a hit, and some who are not looking to lose weight, will stick with the first, if it's still available. Sounds like a good idea to have both to me. I am sure Vitamark will have great success with the Energy Drink, along with their other 40 plus products. They have what it takes.
Hi,
I AM a Crave distributor.... so keep up to speed on the developments.
The ORIGINAL Crave formula includes being sweetened with stevia (FOS) which serves to promote friendly intestinal bacteria.
The ORIGINAL formula is being packaged now, and expects to be shipped mid to late December.
There is a 2nd Formula being put together by a top food researcher, Dr. Allen. Dr. Allen has numerous food patents. She has a patented low-glycemic fruit sweetener made from organic peaches. She has named it V-Sweet.
It is this V-Sweet that will be in the SECOND formula. The V sweet formula burns fat, is safe for blood sugar. Production on this new V-Sweet formula will be available later - sometime in 2008, after all proper testing has been completed....and all regulatory government regs complied with.
Due to a huge pre-production ordering response, the ORIGINAL Crave formula is the one being shipped out for the time being - being mid to late December.
Both formulas have been reported to have drinkers free from crashes, and caffein jitters.
Many people appreciate the drink being in powder form --- like Vitamin C packets are --- for convenience of travel and shipping.
And so they can control the drink proportions --- depending how much they mix with water.
My own experience as a tester was it gave me nice smooth energy with no hyped up nerves or crash - for about 6 hours.
It felt really good.
As far as energy drinks go, I appreciate the fact that Crave is devoid of a lot of unhealthy products that are in many other energy drinks.
Gen Y isn't too health conscious yet... as their bodies are still young and strong.
As a baby boomer, I have come to appreciate the long-term benefits of only putting healthy fuel into our human systems, and I believe Crave will give the best of both worlds.... good, solid, sustained energy without bad and unhealthy side effects - short or long-term.
My list of waiting Crave testers include telephone line men, truckers, students, and other people who are trying to get off or reduce their soft drink, coffee fixes, yet need to keep their energy up to work effectively with full alertness.
I did put up my own Crave blog where I post all the news... so you can moderate it out if you feel it is inappropriate for your site.
FYI Info, that site is

Thanks for the really cool site. I appreciate all the info you are putting out.
