Hydrive Energy Drink Review: Dragonfruit
Well I have reviewed two other flavors of the Hydrive Energy Drink, the Hydrive Acai Berry and Hydrive Pomegranate. So today I will give the Hydrive Dragonfruit Energy Drink a go. The Hydrive Energy Drink still comes in sleek 11.2 ounce plastic, resealable bottle. It's main selling point is that it is made from spring water and it contains plenty of anti-oxidants. You can buy them for $1.99. Or you can buy them below by the case.

Hydrive Energy Drink Review: Dragon Fruit Taste
Well the last two drinks from Hydrive were quite refreshing and the Dragonfruit flavor is no exception. This flavor is kind of hard to explain, I mean how do you describe Dragonfruit. Well I could notice a light strawberry taste to it along with something else. I was not able to put my finger on it until I visited the Hydrive Website. Turns out it also has a hint of pear. So the strawberry - pear flavored Hydrive was quite refreshing and for that it gets a taste rating of 8.4!

Hydrive Energy Drink Review: Dragon Fruit Kick
Having sampled the other two Hydrives I knew what to expect in the kick category. Well not the strongest drink on the market, their is enough energy to get you going. In my opinion this drink also makes for a great work out drink as it is not carbonated and it only has 25 calories. The energy ingredients include 145 milligrams of caffeine, taurine and B-Vitamins. Overall a very refreshing kick. Kick Rating - 8.0

Hydrive Energy Drink Review: Dragon Fruit Final Judgment
Well there you have it. Another great energy drink from Hydrive. It has an original taste and a refreshing kick. The price tag of $1.99 is not too bad either. You can save even more by purchasing in bulk from the store below. Final Judgment - 8.3

Whey UP Protein Energy Drink

Whey Up Protein Energy Drink
I heard about the Whey UP Protein Energy Drink invented by Erik Rothchild earlier this week and can not wait to get my hands on one. Don't get me wrong, I love energy drinks, and as you can tell, drink them quite frequently. But I also enjoy going to the gym and keeping in shape and I regularly include a protein drink as a meal replacement during the day. I have also mentioned in several Energy Drink Reviews that I enjoy a light energy drink before a workout. This new Whey UP Protein Energy Drink would save me the hassle of drinking an energy drink and a protein drink on days that I work out. Instead of having both I can have just the Whey UP Protein Energy Drink.

Check out the Whey UP Protein Energy Drink Review.

Official Site: Whey Up Protein Energy Drink

So what's all in this Whey Up Protein Energy Drink?
Well first of, this 16 ounce non carbonated beverage contains 22 grams of (Whey) protein and has only 90 calories. The energy ingredients include caffeine, taurine and a ton of B-Vitamins (B6 & B12). To top it off there is only one gram of carbs in the entire can and there is absolutely no sugar. The only thing left to figure out is, what does the Whey Up Protein Energy Drink taste like? If you are not familiar with protein shakes, then you probably don't know what I am talking about. A lot of these protein drinks have bland flavors that require a lot of getting used to before you "acquire" a taste for them. Don't get me wrong, I am all on board with this new energy protein drink. I am just curious as to how it is going to taste. As soon as I can get my hands on one I will write up a review on it. Looks like the only place you can buy one is the Hi-Health World of Nutrition stores in Arizona. I am along way from Arizona, so I hope they ramp up their distribution efforts so I can get my hands on one quick. So stay tuned for the review!

Iron Energy Lemon Lime Energy Drink Review

Iron Energy - Lemon Lime
Cost: $$1.99-$2.49
Cost Per Ounce:$0.12-$0.16
Active Ingredients:Caffeine, Taurine, B-Vitamins
Taste Rating:8.5
Kick Rating:8.7
Final Judgment Rating:8.6
Energy Drink Ratings Explained

Iron Energy Lemon Lime Energy Drink Review
Well I recently reviewed the Iron Energy Premium Orange drink and I was quite satisfied. So I thought I would bump up the review of their Lemon Lime flavored drink to see what it offered. I still do now know much background information about Iron Energy, the only thing I know is that I liked their Orange Flavored drink. So let's find out how the Iron Energy Lemon Lime energy drink fairs in a review!

Iron Energy Lemon Lime Energy Drink Review: Taste
Well first off the lemon lime flavored Iron Energy is pretty good. It seems to be a hybrid between Mountain Dew and Sprite. It actually kind of taste like the Vault Energy Drink but without the medicinal aftertaste. The lime flavor is a little more prevelant than the lemon, which seems to make the drink a little more refreshing. There is about 3% juice in the drink, I don't know if it affects the taste, but a little juice is better than none. Overall I will give it a taste rating of 8.5!

Iron Energy Lemon Lime Energy Drink Review: Kick
Well we have established that the taste is somewhat of a hybrid between some popular soft drinks, but will Iron Energy give you more of a kick than these soft drinks? It sure does. By combining 100 milligrams of caffeine with 2000 milligrams of taurine and a host of B-Vitamins, Iron Energy Lemon Lime provides a very satisfactory kick. As I noted in the Orange Crush review, the kick is not overwhelming, there are other energy drinks out there that have more caffeine in them, but having the strongest energy drink is not always the key. With Iron Energy there is no caffeine overload and absolutely no system shock after the caffeine does wears off. Kick Rating - Pleasing 8.7

Iron Energy Lemon Lime Energy Drink Review: Final Judgment
Another good addition to the energy beverage market! I did like the Orange Crush slightly better, but by no means was the Lemon Lime from Iron Energy not worth drinking. This drink should have a large appeal to anyone that likes mountain dew, sprite or Vault. The taste is pleasing, the kick is good and the price is not too shabby either. Final judgment - 8.6!

XS Energy Drink Review - Tea Berry Blast

Tea Berry Blast from XS
Cost: $1.99
Cost Per Ounce:$0.25
Active Ingredients:Green & Black Tea extract (caffeine??), Ginseng, B-Vitamins
Taste Rating:8.8
Kick Rating:8.7
Final Judgment Rating:8.8
Energy Drink Ratings Explained

XS Energy Drink Review - Tea Berry Blast
As I stated on Sunday I was fortunate enough to receive a variety of the XS Energy Drinks. On Sunday I reviewed the 1st one, the XS Energy Drink - Cola Blast and I was more than happy with the results. In fact I was so happy I decided to give the XS Energy Drink - Tea Berry Blast a try earlier than I had originally planned. Instead of doing the review later in the week I thought today would be a good day to review the Tea Berry Blast drink.

XS Energy Drink Review - Tea Berry Blast: Taste
Tea Berry blast is not carbonated, only contains 12 calories and has one gram of carbs as it uses artificial sweeteners (acesulfame potassium & sucralose). Two of the main ingredients are green tea extract and black tea extract. As I have stated in other reviews, I am usually not fond of tea based drinks, but I have grown an acquired taste for them. Well the XS Tea Berry Blast was no exception. This has a very light green tea flavor with a nice base of raspberry flavoring. This combination made for a very refreshing flavor. I was actually disappointed when the 8.4 ounce was gone. I wish they made this in a larger can, the flavor was that refreshing and had no medicinal after taste at all. Taste Rating = 8.8!

XS Energy Drink Review - Tea Berry Blast: Kick
Well the main energy ingredients seem to come from the B-Vitamins and the Green Tea and Black Tea extract. There is also some Ginseng listed on the ingredient list as well. The can itself recommends against the consumption of this beverage if you are sensitive to caffeine. However, I do not see caffeine listed anywhere on the ingredient list? So is there caffeine in this drink, does it come from the Green & Black tea extract? I have no idea. The kick I received was pretty good. No sugar, no jitters. The delivery of the energy seemed a little slower, probably because of the lack of sugar, but overall the drink accomplished what it was supposed to! Kick Rating 8.7!

XS Energy Drink Review - Tea Berry Blast: Final Judgment
Well my only complaint for this drink seems to be that it is only 8.4 ounces. The taste is very refreshing and goes down smooth. The kick, although not outstanding is very pleasing! Combine that with the fact that it only has 12 calories and 1 carb and you have yourself a pretty well done energy drink. Kudos to XS. Final Judgment - 8.8!

Nos Sugar Free Energy Drink Review
Well this morning I needed a little pick me up so I ran down to the gas station and picked up a 16 ounce NOS Sugar Free Energy Drink. I had reviewed the original NOS Energy Drink a long time ago so I was not exactly sure what I was getting myself into. However, since it was early I did not want to cram alot of sugar into my body, and since the Sugar Free Nos energy drink was my only choice in this category, I went with it. Onto the review!

Nos Sugar Free Energy Drink Review: Taste
Well having no sugar and no carbs is a great way to usually hamper the orignal forumula. A lot of the times when they use artificial sweetners the original formula gets changed. In the case of NOS Energy Drink this would not be a bad idea. I was not too keen on the original citrus flavor as it left a weird aftertaste in my mouth. Well the NOS Sugar free is no different. It has a passion fruit flavor with a bit of tang, and a side of medicinal aftertaste. Overall I was not too impressed with the taste. This one gets a mediocre 6.0 - at least it is sugar free.

Nos Sugar Free Energy Drink Review: Kick
The kick was not too bad. It has the normal energy ingredients, taurine, caffeine and B-Vitamins but it is sugar free so the energy delivery seemed slightly slower than the original. There was enough kick to get me going in the morning; however, after drinking the 16 ounce Sugar Free NOS, I was less than impressed. Kick Rating is a mediocre 7.4

Nos Sugar Free Energy Drink Review: Final Judgment
Well the only thing that this beverage seems to have going for them is the fact that it is sugar free. So you don't have to consume 200 + calories to get a decent amount of energy. Besides that the taste was not that great and the kick was rather mediocre. In my opinion, there are much better sugar free energy drinks out there. Why don't you give them a try. Final Judgment - 6.5

XS Energy Drink Review - Cola Blast

XS Energy Drink - Cola Blast
Cost:$1.99
Cost Per Ounce:$0.25
Active Ingredients:Caffeine, taurine, B-vitamins
Taste Rating:8.8
Kick Rating:8.7
Final Judgment Rating:8.8
Energy Drink Ratings Explained

XS Energy Drink Review - Cola Blast
Well it has been awhile since I tried an XS Energy Drink so I was pretty fortunate when I was sent a complimentarty case containing a variety of their flavors. The first one I will try is the 8.4 ounce XS Cola Blast energy drink which retails for $1.99. With no sugar, no carbs and only 8 calories I was more than excited to review the Cola Blast.

XS Energy Drink Review - Cola Blast: Taste
Well the name of the XS Cola Blast energy drink stays pretty much right on track with how it tastes. Having only 8 calories and using artificial sweeteners (acesulfame potassium & sucralose), the drink tastes pretty much like a diet cola. If I had to put my finger on a brand that it tasted like I would have to say that it was pretty close to a diet Pepsi. The drink is lightly carbonated so that helps out this cola flavored beverage as well. I enjoyed it so I will give it a good taste rating. Taste Rating - 8.8

XS Energy Drink Review - Cola Blast: Kick
Well the XS Cola Blast has roughly 9.88 milligrams per ounce of caffeine, or around 80 milligrams total of caffeine. This puts it in line with Red Bull in terms of caffeine. XS also contains taurine, plenty of B-Vitamins, and Ginseng. The combination of these ingredients gave off a pretty good kick. I was not bouncing off walls after finishing it, but I was definitely more motivated. The kick was delayed slightly, probably because of the lack of sugar, but since their was no sugar their was no crash or no jitters. XS Cola Blast delivered smooth, jitter free energy, for that it gets a pleasing kick rating of 8.7.

XS Energy Drink Review - Cola Blast: Final Judgment
I like the fact that the entire line up of XS beverages is sugar free and has no carbs. They also have a wide variety of flavors. Cola Blast was enjoyable, gave off a clean kick and tasted like a diet Pepsi. So if you are looking for a little
more zing in your life, and you regularly drink some kind of diet cola you should give this beverage a chance. Final Judgment - 8.8!

Original Jet Set Energy Drink

Original Jet Set Energy Drink
Cost: $2.00
Cost Per Ounce:$0.19
Active Ingredients:Caffeine, Guarana, Taurine, B-Vitamins, Ginseng
Taste Rating:8.3
Kick Rating:8.8
Final Judgment Rating:8.7
Energy Drink Ratings Explained

Jet Set Energy Drink Review
Well earlier in the week I gave the Jet Set Club Soda a try and I concluded that it could make a wonderful addition to any cocktail that would normally require club soda (replaces Schweppes). Well the original Jet Set energy drink that I am going to try comes in a 16 ounce can and retails for about $2.00 (there is also a 10.5 ounce version available as well. I have not heard or read anything yet about the original Jet Set so I was not sure what I was in for. Since there is only one way to find out I thought I would give it a thorough review! You can find these drinks at your local Safeway store in the mixer isle!

Jet Set Energy Drink Review: Taste
Well the taste was actually very familiar. How many of you have had a Red Bull. Come on, no need to be shy, raise your hands. Well I am assuming a lot of hands went up. What am I getting at? Well the Orginal Jet Set Energy Drink and Red Bull taste almost exactly alike. I say almost because I think Jet Set improved on the formula. There is actually no medicinal aftertaste. So you get the same flavor as Red Bull, but there is no bite. And for that I will give it a better taste rating than Red Bull - Taste Rating 8.3!

Jet Set Energy Drink Review: Kick
Well we know that it tastes better than Red Bull, but how does it hold up in the kick category? Quite well actually. At 16 ounces, Jet Set is roughly twice the size as Red Bull. It contains almost the same energy ingredients (caffeine, guarana, taurine, B-Vitamins, Ginseng) as Red Bull, you just get about twice as much. So it is indeed an improvement over Red Bull in the kick category as well. Kick Rating - 8.8

Jet Set Energy Drink Review: Final Judgment
Well with a similar taste (without the medicinal aftertaste) and twice the kick as Red Bull, and roughly the same price, users of Red Bull should be asking themselves why they are wasting their money when they can get twice as much bang for the buck from Jet Set. Really, I am serious. If you like Red Bull, don't hesitate to give Jet Set a try. Final Judgment 8.7

Phat Phruit Green Apple Energy Drink Review

Phat Phruit Green Apple
Cost: $1.25
Cost Per Ounce:$0.08
Active Ingredients:Caffeine, B-Vitamins
Taste Rating:8.4
Kick Rating: 7.5
Final Judgment Rating: 7.9
Energy Drink Ratings Explained

Phat Phruit Green Apple Energy Drink Review
For the fourth installment of the Phat Phruit energy drink line we will give the green apple flavor a try. With only forty calories per serving, the equivalence of one glass of milk's worth of calcium and 11 essential vitamins and minerals Phat
Phruit continues to be one of my favorite energy drink choices to have for breakfast. In fact I did an article on what makes the Best Energy Drink I mentioned Phat Phruit! So let's see how the Phat Phruit Green Apple Energy Drink does in the review.

Distribute Phat Phruit

Phat Phruit Green Apple Energy Drink Review: Taste
Well Phat Phruit uses artificial sweetener. I am assuming they do this to keep the calorie count down. This has worked out for them pretty well for the last three of their beverages I reviewed. It does work for the green apple flavor as well, just
not to the extent of the first three. The drink definitely tastes like apple; however, it does seem a little watered down. I think this might actually have helped the taste of this drink, because apple flavored drinks can sometimes be overwhelming. Still a good tasting drink - Taste Rating 8.4

Phat Phruit Green Apple Energy Drink Review: Kick
I have figured out by reviewing the last three Phat Phruit's that the energy ingredients remain the same across the flavors. I still am not sure how much caffeine is in drink, but the combination of caffeine and vitamins seems to work. Phat Phruit continues to be a good choice for breakfast. There is enough kick to get you going and absolutely no crash. Kick Rating - 7.5

Phat Phruit Green Apple Energy Drink Review: Final Judgment
16 Ounces for $1.25, you can't really go wrong. I like these drinks for breakfast. They have a decent kick, with no crash and the tastes are original. Final Judgment 7.9

Kronik Entourage Energy Drink Review
Well yesterday I reviewed the Kronik Low Carb Energy Drink and I was quite pleased. So today I thought I would give the Kronik Entourage energy drink a chance and try it for breakfast since it is 80% juice. While not the highest concentration of juice on the market for energy drinks, 80% is definitely a decent amount that should make for a great addition to the breakfast or juice line of energy drinks available no the market.

Kronik Entourage Energy Drink Review: Taste
My initial taste impression of the drink is that it was quite fruity. Upon review of the cans ingredients I noticed that grape, pear and orange juice are listed on the ingredient list. The most noticeable flavor is grape, yet you can taste the subtleties of the pear and orange. Overall it makes for a nice fruity blend. I did an article on the Best Energy Drink not too long ago. Kronik entourage would make a nice addition to the breakfast category as far as taste. Taste Rating = 8.7

Kronik Entourage Energy Drink Review: Kick
Well I have no idea how much caffeine is in the drink, but it is present. Combine that with 2000 milligrams of taurine, 100 milligrams of Guarana and some Ginseng extract and this 16 ounce beverage gives off a pretty decent kick. There is more than enough kick in here to get you up and moving in the morning. The kick should also last you the better part of the morning so it would also make a nice substitute for coffee in my opinion. Kick Rating - 8.2

Kronik Entourage Energy Drink Review: Final Judgment
Well I have reviewed the entire Kronik Line of Energy Drinks and this one is my favorite one. I like the taste and the kick is not too shabby either. The price tag of $1.99 for 16 ounces is pretty competitive. My only complaint about this drink is that it has 280 calories. If they made this in a low carb or diet version it would probably be my #1 choice for a breakfast beverage. Final Judgment - 8.4

Kronik Low Carb Energy Drink

Kronik Low Carb Energy Drink
Cost:$1.99 - 16 Ounces

Active Ingredients:Taurine, Guarana, Ginseng, Caffeine
Taste Rating:8.0
Kick Rating:8.1
Final Judgment Rating:8.3
Energy Drink Ratings Explained

Kronik Low Carb Energy Drink Review
Well I reviewed the Original Kronik Energy Drink in early February and I was pretty pleased all around in the taste and kick categories. My main beef with the original was that it had 280 calories. Well today I will try the Kronik Low Carb Energy Drink. It has only 20 calories in a 16 ounce can. Lets see how it holds up.

Kronik Low Carb Energy Drink Review: Taste
The same pungent smell was present in the Kronik low carb version as it was in the original. Along with the rather unique smell comes the somewhat passion fruit flavor. The low carb version does not have the sugar like the original so the passion fruit flavor is not quite as sweet, but it is still pretty good. I don't know about you, but I am willing to sacrifice 260 calories for a drink that taste almost identical to the original. Taste Rating - 8.0

Kronik Low Carb Energy Drink Review: Kick
Taurine seems to be the main ingredient here. With 2000 milligrams of Taurine, some Guarana extract and some caffeine, you get a pretty decent kick. The energy delivery seems to be a little slower with out the sugar, but this is usually the case with sugar free or artificially sweetened energy drinks. Overall the kick was just as good as the original, with the exception of the delivery time. It lasted just as long and gave me no jitters. Kick Rating - 8.1

Kronik Low Carb Energy Drink Review: Final Judgment
For a low carb / low calorie drink it was pretty good. If you like the original you should like the low carb / diet version as it delivers the same kick with about 260 calories less. Since that was my biggest beef with the original I will give the low carb version a boost in the final judgment because I can. Final Judgment - 8.3

Jet Set Club Soda Energy Drink Review

Jet Set Club Soda
Cost:$1.50-$2.00
Cost Per Ounce:$0.14 - $0.19
Active Ingredients:Caffeine, Taurine, Guarana, B-Vitamins
Taste Rating:8.2
Kick Rating:8.3
Final Judgment Rating:8.3
Energy Drink Ratings Explained

Jet Set Club Soda Energy Drink Review
Before I go out tonight I thought I would give the Jet Set Energy Drink a try. Not because I needed a little pick me up before heading out on the town, but because Jet Set Club Soda would make an excellent cocktail mixer. It has no calories and it comes in a sleek blue 10.5 ounce can. Well what better way to start the night than with an energy drink mixer. Let's see how it does. Oh and if your interested in purchasing it you will be able to find it starting May 7, 2007 in the mixer section of a Safeway Store.

Jet Set Club Soda Energy Drink Review: Taste
I am not normally a fan of club soda, but I have had a few in my day so I thought I would try the Jet Set Club Soda Energy Drink out with and without alcohol. Without the alcohol it basically tasted like a club soda, kind of like a Schweppes. No shit you say. Well it did have somewhat of a bitter taste to it, but a lot of club soda's are made this way so that they mix well in drinks. Well with it being the start of the night and having a club soda energy drink to test, I thought I would go with a cranberry mixer. So I mixed together some some vodka, cranberry juice and the Jet Set Club Soda. It made an excellent cocktail, but what doesn't. Overall it looks like they are making this as a mixer, which works out pretty good as it does the job. I would not recommend drinking alone, unless your a huge fan of club soda, but with a mixer it is perfect, and for that I will give it a taste rating of 8.2!

Jet Set Club Soda Energy Drink Review: Kick
120 milligrams of caffeine, 1000 milligrams of taurine, some Guarana and B-Vitamins, thats the energy ingredients you get. It is not overly strong, but that is the last thing you want if you plan on drinking a couple of these throuhout the night. It definitely serves it's purpose and I could feel the kick after finishing the cocktail. Just don't drink too many, because mixing energy drinks and alcohol is probably not the best idea, just remember moderation. Kick Rating 8.3

Jet Set Club Soda Energy Drink Review: Final Judgment
Ovearll the club soda from Jet Set has a unique concept. Seems like they are going after the nightlife (clubs, bars) scence with their energy beverages. They have the club soda, tonic and ginger ale flavors that would probably all mix great in cocktails. I like the concept and the mixability was definitely there. Final Judgment - 8.3

Iron Energy Premium Orange Energy Drink Review

Iron Energy Drink
Cost: $1.99-$2.49
Cost Per Ounce:$0.12-$0.16
Active Ingredients:Caffeine, Taurine, B-Vitamins
Taste Rating:8.6
Kick Rating:8.7
Final Judgment Rating:8.6
Energy Drink Ratings Explained

Iron Energy Premium Orange Energy Drink Review
Well for today I will give the Iron Energy Premium Orange drink a try since it has been awhile since I had an orange energy drink. I really can not find too much background information on the Iron Energy line of drinks. I do know they have another flavor, lemon-lime that I will eventually get around to trying. For now let's stick with the Iron Energy Premium Orange energy drink.

Iron Energy Premium Orange Energy Drink Review: Taste
This is probably the easiest time I have had pin pointing the exact taste of an energy drink. Basically it tastes like Orange Crush. That's it. There is no medicinal aftertaste, no harsh flavors, no bitterness, nothing but an sweet Orange Crush tasting energy drink. Lucky for Iron Energy that I liked orange crush as a kid. Taste Rating = 8.6.

Iron Energy Premium Orange Energy Drink Review: Kick
We have established that the Iron Energy tastes like Orange Crush, which is good, but how will it fair in the kick category. Well it only has 100 milligrams of caffeine, which is still more than Red Bull and way more than the Orange Crush soda. What it lacks in caffeine it makes up for with 2000 milligrams of taurine and a bunch of B-Vitamins which is not bad but it won't make my list of best energy drinks. As I have said before, having the strongest energy drink all the time is not always the best for you. That is why I like the Kick factor from Iron Energy Premium Orange. There is no caffeine overload, or no system shock after the caffeine wears off. Kick Rating - Pleasing 8.7

Iron Energy Premium Orange Energy Drink Review: Final Judgment
Fun drink which would should appeal to a large quantity of people. The taste is good, the kick is good but not overwhelming and the price is not too bad either. Final Judgment - 8.7

BooKoo Wild Berry Zero Carb Energy Drink Review

BooKoo Wild Berry Zero Carb
Cost:$1.99
Cost Per Ounce:$0.12
Active Ingredients:Caffeine, Taurine, B Vitamins
Taste Rating:7.5
Kick Rating:8.2
Final Judgment Rating:7.7
Energy Drink Ratings Explained

BooKoo Wild Berry Zero Carb Energy Drink Review
Well today I thought I would try the BooKoo Wild Berry Zero Carb energy drink. This one came in a 16 ounce can, probably comes in a 24 ounces version as well. Having tried the original BooKoo Wild Berry and having enjoyed it, I was hoping for the same results from the diet / zero carb version. If you are not a wildberry fan and are looking for a diet / zero carb drink you could also check out the BooKoo Citrus Zero Carb. Onto the review!

BooKoo Wild Berry Zero Carb Energy Drink Review: Taste
The original taste was not too bad and the zero carb version basically reflects this. There is still the distinct berry taste with a slight raspberry aftertaste. The taste is not as strong as the original but this is probably from the lack of sugar. The fact that it has no calories also hinders the taste slightly, but overall it was not too bad. The Bookoo Citrus was definitely better. Taste Rating -7.5

BooKoo Wild Berry Zero Carb Energy Drink Review: Kick
Taste is not the best but the kick is still as strong as the original. For 16 ounces it delivers a pretty damn good kick. If you want an even bigger kick I believe they offer it in the 24 ounce version as well. Delivery seemed a little slower than the normal versions, but this is probably from the lack of sugar. Kick Rating - 8.2

BooKoo Wild Berry Zero Carb Energy Drink Review: Final Judgment
Overall, for a diet / zero carb version it was not too bad, but I preferred the Citrus Version as the flavor seemed to work better. There are other alternatives out there but if you are in a pinch and it is available in your area it would still be worth it, especially for only $1.99. Final Judgment - 7.7

Best Energy Drinks and Shots

I have reviewed a lot of energy drinks (300 +) on my blog and a lot of people ask me what the best energy drink is. Turns out, answering the question; "What is the Best Energy Drink" is not easy to do. Sure, I do have my personal favorites, but by no means would I classify any of them as the best because that can be somewhat of a personal opinion, especially when taste is involved. You personally have to determine what your favorite drink is. To help you out, here are some questions to ask yourself about what you are looking for in an energy drink. Are you looking for the strongest, best tasting or cheapest energy drink? What size are you looking for... 2 ounce shot or 32 ounce Monster? Or are you looking for a drink that will fill some other void? Below are some questions and categories that people usually associate with the best energy drink. Well I have given each one of those categories some thought and I hope it helps you to pick the best energy drink for yourself!

Best Tasting Energy Drink
Does taste drive you to purchase energy drinks? Because sometimes the strongest energy drinks taste like s**t! Here are a few drinks that I think taste pretty good.

1) Hype MFP
2) Vim & Vigor Citrus
3) Who's Your Daddy?
4) Vim & Vigor Berry
5) Energy 69

Strongest Energy Drink
Would your best energy drink be the strongest on the market? Would the strength of this drink be based on caffeine content or all around effectiveness? Here are a few of my personal favorites for strongest energy drinks.

1) Wired X505
2) 5-Hour Energy Review --- Buy 5 Hour Energy Online
3) Fixx Energy Drink
4) Redline Drink Review --- Buy Redline Energy Drink
5) Cocaine Energy Drink --- Buy Cocaine Energy Drink

Best Energy Shots
I may be different than some, but when looking for the best energy shot, I like a great taste and a powerful kick. These are my opinions of the best of the best when it comes to energy shots.
1) 5-Hour Energy - Extra Strength
2) OnGo - Lemon Lime
3) Crakshot

Best Energy Drinks for Breakfast
Looking for a good energy drink in the morning to replace your coffee, tea or juice? Here are a couple that I have reviewed so far that would fit well into this category.

1) Kaboom Orange Buzz
2) Phat Phruit Pinneaple Orange
3) Energy 69

Best Diet / Low Carb or Zero / Low Calorie Energy Drink?
Are you looking to cut back on calories or carbs, yet still get a good kick from an energy drink? Then check out my favorite low cal / diet drinks that taste good and provide a good kick.

1) Go Fast Light
2) Dare Devil - Lighter Fluid
3) Bazza High Energy Raspberry Tea

Best Organic / Natural Energy Drink
Looking for a healthy alternative, something made from natural or organice ingredients? The below beverages should suit your need for this.

1) Steaz
2) Diet Ronin
3) Hydrive w/Acai Berries

Best Value or Cheapest
If you consume a lot of energy drinks and are looking to lighten the load on your wallet, here are a couple that are a pretty good value.

1) Roaring Lion
2) Phat Phruit
3) BooKoo - 24 Oounces

Best Energy Drink for a Workout
After working 8-10 hours going to the gym can be a drag, especially if you don't have any energy. Here are a couple drinks that I like to use before or during a workout. These are usually less filling, lower carbonation, smaller sized drinks so that I don't feel like I am going to heave during the workout.

1) 5 Hour Energy
2) Go Fast Light
3) Redline (careful with this one when working out)

Best "Tea Based" Energy Drink
There are a lot of beverages out there that are going after the tea market as well. I have reviewed quite a few of these beverages that are tea flavored yet offer the kick of an energy drink. These are the ones that I have enjoyed the most so far.

1) Bazza High Energy Tea Great Flavor and Kick
2) Steaz Energy Good Flavor

As I mentioned before, these are just my opinions. I have only reviewed 300 or so drinks so this is not the tell all of lists. I am sure there are other drinks out there that would fit into the above categories. If you know any feel free to chime in and post a comment.

Roaring Lion Energy Drink Review

Roaring Lion Energy Drink

Cost: $1.00 - $1.60
Cost Per Ounce:$0.06 - $0.09
Active Ingredients:
Taste Rating:7.5
Kick Rating:9.0
Final Judgment Rating:9.1
Energy Drink Ratings Explained

Roaring Lion Energy Drink Review
The Roaring Lion Energy Drink promotes them selves as an Alternative to Red Bull. So why would I review the Roaring Lion Energy drink if I have already tried Red Bull. Well there are a couple reasons. First and foremost I am big on cost savings. Roaring Lion contains is 16.9 ounces, which is roughly twice the size of a normal Red Bull (8.3 ounces). Roaring Lion also costs about $1.50 per bottle. So this is a $0.50 savings for twice the energy drink. Savings also seem to get even better if ordered in bulk. When ordered in bulk you can pay as little as $1.00 per bottle. They also offer the options of serving this drink straight off the gun, which would be perfect for the bar or restaurant owner. Second I wanted to see how close in comparison the two formulas actually were. In order to do that I would have to try it. I did, and here's my thoughts.

Purchase Roaring Lion Here

Roaring Lion Energy Drink Review: Taste
Does it taste similar to Red Bull. You bet! It is so close that I actually did a blind taste test between the two. I poured red bull in one cup, Roaring Lion in another cup. I then had my girlfriend mix them up. After tasting both I had no idea which was which. So, there claims are true. Tastes just like Red Bull. The only downfall is that Red Bull as well as Roaring Lion have a slight medicinal aftertaste. This can be solved quickly by mixing with your favorite cocktail or by having a Jager Bomb! So there is really nothing new in the taste category so I will give it the same average rating as Red Bull - 7.5

Roaring Lion Energy Drink Review: Kick
On the plus side Red Bull did give a decent kick. Times that kick by two and you have Roaring Lion. They have twice the energy ingredients (Taurine, Caffeine) as Red Bull as the serving size is twice as big. Red Bull got a moderate kick rating of 8.0 so I will bump Roaring Lion's Kick Rating up to 9.0! While not the strongest it still gives a decent kick!

Roaring Lion Energy Drink Review: Final Judgment
Well they did a great job of duplicating the Red Bull taste, they upped the serving size in turn increasing the kick and the price is unbelievable when compared to Red Bull. I would have to say that anyone addicted to or used to Red Bull should give Roaring Lion a try. They probably won't even know the difference, until they look in their wallet. Another plus for this beverage is that it would be a viable alternative to Red Bull for restaurant owners and bar owners. Think of it this way. Your patrons order some Jager Bombs or their favorite cocktail. Substitute Roaring Lion and they won't even know the difference, especially if you are pouring out of the gun! Kick some of this savings back to your customers and not only will you be happy but they will too. Usually I don't like knock off energy drinks, but I will make an exception with this drink as the only thing they are trying to accomplish is save you and me money! Final Rating - a nice 9.1!

Kaboom Tropicool Energy Juice Review

Kaboom Tropicool Energy Juice
Cost: $2.49 - $2.59
Cost Per Ounce:$0.31
Active Ingredients:Guarana, Green Tea Extract, B-Vitamins
Taste Rating:8.5
Kick Rating:7.8
Final Judgment Rating:8.2
Energy Drink Ratings Explained

Kaboom Tropicool Energy Juice Review
Well last month I reviewed the Kaboom Orange Buzz Energy Juice which in my opinion made for a great replacement of the morning cup of coffee or juice. The orange flavor was pretty good but there was room for improvement, which made me all the more excited to try the new Kaboom Tropicool Energy Juice which is made from all natural ingredients. Kaboom Tropicool is also marketed towards the breakfast market as the all natural flavor and organic energy juice makes for a healthy alternative to the normal sugar induced energy drink.

Kaboom Tropicool Energy Juice Review: Taste
As opposed to the Orange Buzz, Tropicool has more of a refreshing flavor that is both sweet and fruity. There is a slight aftertaste to the Kaboom Tropicool energy drink. I don't believe it is a medicinal aftertaste, I just believe it is from the all natural ingredients. Either way the initial taste is great and the slight aftertaste you do get from it is definitely worth it in exchange for a healthier energy drink. I will rehash what I said in the intro and the Orange Buzz review. In my opinion this beverage would make for a great breakfast drink to replace your current sugar laden energy drink, coffee or juice. Taste Rating = 8.5

Kaboom Tropicool Energy Juice Review: Kick
The kick was pretty much the same as the Orange Buzz. While it had plenty of "wake me up juice" it was not a kick that was going to make me all jittery which is probably a good thing as the last thing you want is for me to be on edge 1st thing Monday morning on the way to work. Can you say "Road Rage?" The combined ingredients of Guarana, Green Tea extract and B-Vitamins provide ample energy to get you going in the morning. All this crammed into an 8 ounce can. Another pleasing 7.8 for a kick rating.

Kaboom Tropicool Energy Juice Review: Final Judgment
All natural ingredients, no preservatives a tropicool and fruity flavor combined with a decent kick. The only downfall is the price is a little steep. But if you are looking for a healthier alternative to your normal energy drink, this one might be worth a try. Final Judgment - an above average 8.2!

Dare Devil Lighter Fluid Energy Drink Review

Dare Devil Lighter Fluid

Energy Drink Ratings Explained

Dare Devil Energy Drink Review
Earlier I reviewed the Original Dare Devil Energy Drink and I was more than pleased with both the kick and the taste. Well today I thought that I would give the "Lighter Fluid" Dare Devil Energy Drink a try. "Lighter Fluid" is their version of a diet or low carb energy drink. Well let's see how it fairs.

Purchase Dare Devil Lighter Fluid Here

Dare Devil Lighter Fluid Energy Drink Review: Taste
Well to start off the Lighter Fluid did not completely remove all the sugar. They used artificial sweetners with just a touch of genuine sugar giving the diet / low carb version 20 calories per 16 ounces. This definitely benefits them as the taste is almost identical to that of the oroginal. You really can't taste much of a difference at all. The genuine citrus flavor with a slight tart after taste is still there. Again with almost no difference from the original you can't really tell that you are drinking a diet / low carb energy drink at all. For that I will ump the taste rating a little higher than the original. Taste Rating = 9.0

Dare Devil Lighter FLuid Energy Drink Review: Kick
Basically the Lighter Fluid has less sugar than the original. The 240 milligrams of caffeine, 2000 milligrams of taurine, guarana and a host of B-Vitamins are still present giving Lighter Fluid the same kick as the original. The kick in the pants was still there, but the delivery was a little slower probably because of less sugar content. Not exactly sure, doesn't really matter because overall the kick was still great. Kick Rating - 9.1!

Dare Devil Lighter Fluid Energy Drink Review: Final Judgment
I love it when companies put just as much effort into their diet / low carb versions as they do their regular versions. Dare Devil even got a little creative with the blend of sugar and artificial sweetners which definitely payed off. Great Taste -Good Kick - Only 30 calories - Final Judgment 9.2!

Hydrive Pomegranate Energy Drink Review: Acai Berry
My last encounter with the Hydrive Acai Berry was very pleasant so I was thrilled when I had the chance to review the Hydrive Pomegranate energy drink. The packaging is the same with exception of the bottle is now red. They Hydrive Pomegranate energy drink still comes in a sleek 15.5 ounce bottle that fits in your hand quite comfortably. It is also still made with spring water and contains plenty of anti-oxidants as well as b-vitamins and vitamin c. Well enough background and onto the review.

Buy the Hydrive Energy Drink Here

Hydrive Pomegranate Energy Drink Review: Acai Berry Taste
I mentioned earlier that this bottle is 15.5 ounces, it is also reseal able which made it a perfect choice to drink during my workout. That and the fact that it only has 25 calories! THe Hydrive Pomegranate energy drink has a sweet yet slightly tart flavor that is kind of hard to put into words. It is not overly strong because it has few calories and it is made from spring water. To put it bluntly it tastes quite refreshing and there is absolutely, I mean no medicinal aftertaste here at all. Quite Pleasing Taste Rating of 8.4!

Hydrive Pomegranate Energy Drink Review: Acai Berry Kick
Well it tastes good and it has 145 mg of caffeine, which is quite surprising. Combine the 145 milligrams of caffeine with the b-vitamins present and the refreshing taste and you got yourself a great energy drink that does the job with no problem. I know 145 milligrams does not seem like a lot compared to energy drinks like the Cocaine Energy Drink but you do have to draw the line somewhere. If you are looking for something to wake you up and get you motivated without the crash I suggest you try either this Hydrive Pomegranate Energy Drink or the one I previously reviewed. Kick Rating - a pleasing 8.3!

Hydrive Pomegranate Energy Drink Review: Acai Berry Final Judgment
Well that basically sums up the Pomegranate review. It has a very refreshing taste, a very doable kick and it has a good price tag of $1.99. The reseal able bottle and originality of the beverage is also a plus, especially during a workout. Final Judgement - 8.3!

Havoc Energy Drink Review

Havoc Energy Drink

Cost: $2.00 (or buy in bulk to save)
Cost Per Ounce:$0.24
Active Ingredients:8.3
Taste Rating:7.9
Kick Rating: 8.4
Final Judgment Rating:8.4
Energy Drink Ratings Explained

Havoc Energy Drink Review
I was lucky enough to get a couple samples sent to me of the Havoc Energy Drink because I had heard of it but I was unable to find it close to me. I had heard of it because the Havoc Energy Drink has been making waves by sponsoring colleges all across the country. They seem to be aggressively marketing colleges by offering sponsorships and by having the collegiate label printed on the Havoc can. I thought that was pretty original. First energy drink that I have heard of that will go out of it's way to print your college logo on it's energy drink. Seems like they also offer private labeling for just about anyone including, professional sports teams, corporations and even your high school fundraiser. Havoc also has a slogan that says "disrupt the ordinary" so I was expecting quite a bit from the Havoc Energy Drink. Let's see if it lives up to those expectations.

Havoc Energy Drink Review: Taste
Upon first impression I was not quite sure what I was in for as the Havoc Energy Drink was quite dark yet had a fruity smell. Was I in for a cola tasting drink or a fruity one? Turns out the dark color is just there to throw you off as it does have a rather distinct raspberry taste to it and it also seems like their is some minor grape flavoring as well. Either that or my taste buds are shot??? Overall the taste was pretty good, their was no medicinal aftertaste and it went down smooth. Taste Rating 8.3

Havoc Energy Drink Review: Kick
The flavor was definitely not ordinary, so let's see how the Havoc Energy Drink fairs in the kick category. It has been awhile since I had an energy drink in an 8.4 ounce can, but it is nice as it seems like it is just enough to get you moving! The main ingredients seem to be caffeine (52 milligrams), taurine and B-Vitamins. So it is just like the majority of energy drinks out there when you compare ingredients with the exception that it has less caffeine. So it is not the strongest drink but not every drink needs to contain an outrageous amount of caffeine. You have your Redlines, Cocaines and Wireds' for that. Havoc gives a nice balanced kick - no jitters - no after effects - just a nice balanced kick that you will notice, but it won't make your heart stop. kick Rating 7.9.

Havoc Energy Drink Review: Final Judgment
Seems to be a well balanced drink. It has a good kick and a decent kick. The kick won't make your heart suddenly stop or explode like some energy drinks out there, but it will get the job done. The most original thing about this beverage seems to be that they will customize the can with your college's logo. Seems like a good idea to me. If I was at a football game at my old college, I would definitely purchase one. Final Judgment - 8.4 (extra points for creativity!)

Energy Drink Ratings Explained

Dare Devil Energy Drink Review
Well I was fortunate enough to get sent a sample of the Dare Devil Energy drink as it was not available in my area. I don't have too much background on the Dare Devil energy drink, besides that the can looks pretty cool and their slogan is "live on the edge." Well onto the review!

Purchase Dare Devil Here

Dare Devil Energy Drink Review: Taste
To start off Dare Devil has a sweet citrus flavor that leaves you with a slight tart aftertaste. I know what you are saying. So is it a sweet drink or does it have a bite? Well it actually has the best of both worlds as it starts out sweet and gives you a little bit of tart aftertaste. I don't think it is medicinal aftertaste, I believe it might have been designed this way. Whether it was or not, I like it because sometimes you can get sick of sweet drinks and sometimes a drink has to much bite to finish. With the Dare Devil energy drink I did not have to worry about this. Along with the unique flavor the Dare Devil Energy Drink seems to have just the right amount of carbonation. When combined with the unique taste it makes for quite a refreshing drink! Taste Rating - Refreshing 8.9

Dare Devil Energy Drink Review: Kick
Well if you are looking for an energy beverage that will wake you up I Dare you to try this one. Well it is not quite that extreme, but with 240 milligrams of caffeine, 2000 milligrams of taurine, guarana and a host of B-Vitamins, the Dare Devil Energy drink definitely gave me that kick in the pants I was looking for. The delivery was quick, the rush lasted for quite awhile and I was not left squirming on the floor with withdrawals after the kick wore off. Great Kick deserves a great kick rating of 9.2!

Dare Devil Energy Drink Review: Final Judgment
Another energy drink that I never would of heard of without this site. I am glad I got to try it as it had a unique flavor, and a nice strong kick. The only downfall is that they do not have the largest distribution channels out there, meaning the cost is a little steeper than others. Well at about $2.25 per can, it is really not that bad, I can definitely justify spending the extra quarter for this. It is too bad about the distribution, more people should be able to get their hands on this product. Final Judgment - Very Pleasing 9.1!

BooKoo Citrus Zero Carb Energy Drink Review

BooKoo Citrus Zero Carb
Cost:$2.50
Cost Per Ounce:$0.10
Active Ingredients:Caffeine, Taurine, B-Vitmains
Taste Rating:8.3
Kick Rating:9.0
Final Judgment Rating:8.8
Energy Drink Ratings Explained

BooKoo Citrus Zero Carb Energy Drink Review
Well I have reviewed several other drinks in the BooKoo Line so I thought it would be more than time to review one of their diet or Zero Carb energy drinks, especially since we live in a carb conscious world. The first one that came into my possession is the rather large, 24 ounce BooKoo Citrus - Zero Carb Energy Drink. Normal energy drinks that are 24 ounces would have well over 300 calories, in fact there are even some 16 ounce versions out there that are over 300 calories. But this Zero Carb BooKoo has no calories. Let's see how the taste and kick are for it!

BooKoo Citrus Zero Carb Energy Drink Review: Taste
Well I have tried the BooKoo Citrus Shot and it did quite well. The 24 ounce BooKoo Citrus zero carb version was also pleasant to consume. The flavor was pretty much the same as the original, even while using sucralose as a artificial sweetener. There was a slight medicinal aftertaste, but it was not really too noticeable. Great Taste for Zero Carbs Zero Calories - 8.3

BooKoo Citrus Zero Carb Energy Drink Review: Kick
Well, this thing is 24 ounces so there is a ton of energy in it. I drank this one during my lunch break and for the next hour after that. It is a lot to consume at one sitting, but spanning the consumption out over an hour is not too bad. The original formula has 360 mg of caffeine in it. Yeah that is quite a bit. I could not find info on the amount in the zero carb version, but the taste is pretty much the same so I am assuming that it also has the same caffeine content. F.Y.I - A normal energy drink usually has about 80mg of caffeine in it. Funny thing is I had no crash after drinking this. This probably has to do with the fact that they used artificial sweetener in place of sugar. Great Kick - 9.0

BooKoo Citrus Zero Carb Energy Drink Review: Final Judgment
Big Can = Big Kick and pretty big citrus taste. At $2.50 it is not a bad deal either. Just be careful if you are not used to this much caffeine, it is quite a lot. It would be nice if they offered this flavor in a 16 ounce version as well or if they offered it in a resealable bottle. They do offer a 16 ounce zero carb in Wild Berry if you are looking for a little less bulk. Overall it has pretty good taste, huge kick and a pretty good value. Final Judgment - 8.8

Rock Star Sugar Free Energy Drink Review

Cost: $1.99
Cost Per Ounce:$0.13
Active Ingredients:caffeine, b-vitamins
Taste Rating: 8.2
Kick Rating: 8.4
Final Judgment Rating: 8.6
Energy Drink Ratings Explained

Rock Star Sugar Free Energy Drink Review
Well I reviewed the original Rock Star Energy Drink some time ago back in May of 2006. I figured I might as well give the Diet Rock Star Sugar Free Version a try. I definitely liked the original, so I was hoping that they did not mess with the flavor too much. Well before the review I actually had to go out and purchase one, which is not hard because Rock Star Sugar Free is available everywhere. The only decision I had was whether to get it in the 8.4, 16, or 24 ounce version. Well I went with the 16 ounce version as that is the same size as the original I reviewed.

Rock Star Sugar Free Energy Drink Review: Taste
Well the Diet or Sugar Free RockStar Energy drink uses artificial sweeteners. This could be both bad or good. It's good because it means there is no sugar. No sugar means low carbs and lower calories. It's bad if the artificial sweetener used tastes like crap. Fortunately for Rock Star, the sweetener they used does not affect the taste of the beverage. The diet, or sugar free version does taste a little more tart than the original, but all in all it is a pretty similar formula to the original. It just has a little bit more of a medicinal aftertaste than the
original. Taste Rating = 8.2

Rock Star Sugar Free Energy Drink Review: Kick
Since the sugar was removed from this beverage, it seems the delivery of the energy has also slowed down a bit. However, the diet version has more caffeine than the original which definitely makes up for the slow delivery. The 16 ounce version has about 240 mg of caffeine in it. Combine that with a big scoop of taurine and you get a pretty good kick which actually feels better and lasts longer than the riginal. Kick rating = 8.6.

Rock Star Sugar Free Energy Drink Review: Final Judgment
Well sugar free energy drinks are becoming quite popular. The Diet Rockstar falls into this category and does an excellent job as well. Decent taste, better than average kick and a competitive price. Combine this with the fact that you can get it everywhere, in almost any size (remember it comes in the 8.4, 16 and 24 ounce versions) and purchase it in bulk to save some money and we have ourselves a good diet energy drink. My final judgment is an above average 8.4!

Diet Ronin Energy Drink Review

Diet Ronin Energy Drink

Active Ingredients: Caffeine, Taurine, B-Vitamins,
Ginseng, Green Tea Extract
Taste Rating:8.7
Kick Rating:9.0
Final Judgment Rating:8.8
Energy Drink Ratings Explained

Diet Ronin Energy Drink Review
Well I reviewed the Original Ronin Energy Drink last month and I was quite pleased. The only complaint I had was that I wished it had fewer calories. So when I had the opportunity to pick up the Diet Ronin Energy Drink I did. With only 15 calories in 16 ounces and basically the same ingredients I was pumped to give it a try. Here is what I think of Diet Ronin.

Official Ronin Website

Diet Ronin Energy Drink Review: Taste
It seems the only trade off from the original is the fact the diet version has fewer calories. I thought they would use artificial flavoring to cut calories but after looking at the can it turns out they don't. After reviewing their website I can confirm that they don't use artificial flavors or colors and they also do not use preservatives or high fructose corn syrup. So the Diet Ronin Energy Drink is still all natural and it still contains one full serving of fruits and vegetables. I don't know how they magically erased all the calories (less sugar?) but the end result is pretty good. The taste is still very similar to the original citrus blend, although there is a small medicinal aftertaste present. This can be expected because there are only 15 calories in the drink and they are not using any artificial flavors, which would make it hard to mask the energy ingredients. All that said this is a very good diet energy drink. I will give it a firm taste rating of 8.5 - which is slightly lower than the 8.7 I gave the original.

Diet Ronin Energy Drink Review: Kick
The energy formula did not seem to change from the diet to original version so I was more than ready to receive a healthy dose of energy. I was not disappointed in the kick category. I received a nice kick from Ronin that was sustained for quite awhile. The delivery felt a little slower than the original but maybe this is from the lack of sugar? On top of this I got one serving of fruits and vegetable from drinking diet Ronin. All in all its a great kick so I will give it the same kick rating as the original Ronin 9.0.

Diet Ronin Energy Drink Review: Final Judgment
The taste is pretty close to the original and the kick is just as good. With only 15 calories and a helping of fruits and vegetables, this all natural diet energy drink is worth a try. Nothing much else to say - Final Judgment 8.8!

Energy Drink Ratings Explained

Low Carb Monster Energy Drink Review
Well I reviewed the original Monster Energy Drink some time ago, so this morning I thought I would try the Low Carb Monster Energy Drink. The main difference between the original and low carb versions seems to be sugar content. The Low Carb Monster Energy Drink has very little, thus keeping the calorie count to 10. So with only 10 calories and a small amount of sugar, how will the Low Carb Monster Energy Drink compare to the original? Well let's find out in the review.

Or take a look at the other reviews from Monster

Low Carb Monster Energy Drink Review: Taste
Well by taking out the sugar the drink becomes less sweet, in turn affecting how it tastes. By taking out the majority of the sugar in the Lo-Carb Monster Energy Drink, I think the formula might have actually been improved as now the citrus flavor is not quite as sweet as the original. Basically it has less of a bite than the original. There is still a slight medicinal aftertaste to the beverage, but it is no stronger than the one present in the original. Taste Rating - 8.7

Low Carb Monster Energy Drink Review: Kick
The original can pack a pretty decent punch and the Low Carb version is no different. The combination of caffeine, ginseng, guarana and B-Vitamins in a 16 ounce can delivers a good kick. The only difference between the original and lo-carb version is that the energy effects took awhile to kick in (probably because of the reduced sugar). 8.5 Kick Rating - slightly lower than the original because of the extra wait for energy.

Low Carb Monster Energy Drink Review: Final Judgment
Basically quite comparable to the original. It has less calories and less sugar making what I feel is an improved taste. The kick is still good, it just takes awhile to develop. Wish I would have gave the lo-carb version a try earlier. Don't be like me, give this 16 ounce blue monster a try. You might like it! Final Judgment - 8.7

Kronik Grind Energy Drink Review

Kronik Grind
Cost: $1.99
Cost Per Ounce:$0.12
Active Ingredients:Taurine, Guarana, Ginseng
Taste Rating:8.5
Kick Rating:8.3
Final Judgment Rating:8.4
Energy Drink Ratings Explained

Kronik Grind Energy Drink Review
Well I tried the Original Kronik Energy Drink in the beginning of February and I was quite pleased. When I had the opportunity to get my hands on a Kronik Grind Energy drink I jumped at the chance. There was room for a slight improvement over the original in the taste category, but I was pleased with the kick that the orignal gave off. So let's see how the Kronik Grind fairs in the review.

Kronik Grind Energy Drink Review: Taste
Well the original had a slight medicinal aftertaste to it that the Kronik Grind got rid of. Grind does taste like the majority of the energy drinks out there with the exception that it has more of a juice flavor. I would have to say that it also has a hint of grape flavor as well. Overall I like the taste of the Kronik Grind energy drink and will give it a marked improvement over the original. Fans of drinks like Red Bull and Rock Star Energy Drinks should give Grind a try (the beverage that is!). Taste rating - 8.5

Kronik Grind Energy Drink Review: Kick
Well with 16 ounces and plenty of Caffeine, Guarana, Taurine and Ginseng you wouldn't be wrong assuming that this beverage gives off a good kick. The label on the can "fearless energy supplement" is a pretty accurate statement. I drank this half way through my workout and the kick was there pretty much right away when I wanted it. Right now it's about two hours after I finished drinking Grind (and my workout) and I still have enough energy left in me to write this review. Final kick rating is a nice 8.3.

Kronik Grind Energy Drink Review: Final Judgment
Well as I stated before, there is a definite improvement in taste over the original. The kick is also just as good as the original. Through in the competitive price of $1.99 and I feel comfortable in saying that this energy drink is worth checking out. Final Judgment - 8.4!

Phat Phruit Pineapple Orange Energy Drink Review

Phat Phruit Pineapple Orange Energy Drink Review
Well here is the third Phat Phruit flavor that I reviewed. I thoroughly enjoyed the other two and was looking forward to trying the pineapple orange flavor from Phat Phruit. The only decision I had to make was, should I have it for Breakfast? Or, should I mix it with alcohol and make a cocktail. Well either way would have been good but I decided to have it for breakfast to utilize the 11 essential vitamins and the calcium. Enough fluff and onto the review of Phat Phruit Pineapple Orange Energy Drink!

Distribute Phat Phruit!

Phat Phruit Pineapple Orange Energy Drink Review: Taste
I am glad I choose to have this for breakfast. It was a great replacement for orange juice. Not only did it taste good but it had only 40 calories and 10 carbs per serving. Add the fact that it has calcium and it might even be better for you than O.J. As far as the flavor goes, it tastes just like the label states. The orange flavor is a little more overwhelming than the pineapple. All in all it was mixed up pretty good. I will give it a 8.2 taste rating - I still like the Grape Strawberry flavor the best.

Phat Phruit Pineapple Orange Energy Drink Review: Kick
I have reviewed two other Phat Phruit Energy drinks and both times I was not disapointed in the kick category. Seems there energy formula stays pretty consistent across the flavors. While not especially strong, this beverage makes for a fairly healthy alternative to the normal energy drink. It gives you no jitters and is chalked full of vitamins. Another pleasing 7.5!

Phat Phruit Pineapple Orange Energy Drink Review: Final Judgment
Fun flavor combination, healthy alternative to most energy drinks, would make a good coffee or OJ replacement and on top of that it is only about $1.25. I have yet to be disapointed! Final Judgment - 8.0
