Loud Energy Drink Review - Sitrus Stunner:
My last review of the Classix Mix Loud Energy Drink was quite pleasing so I decided to give the Sitrus Stunner a try as well. Both flavors come in a sleek 12 ounce can. Right now I believe you can get two Energy Drinks for $3.00 which is a pretty good deal. I am not sure if this is a introductory rate or if this will be the normal price? If someone knows feel free to chime in with a comment. Well enough fluff and onto the review of the Loud Energy Drink - Sitrus Stunner.

Loud Energy Drink Review - Sitrus Stunner: Taste
I thoroughly enjoyed the Classic Mix, but will the Sitrus Stunner provide a good taste as well? If you have read some of my other reviews than you probably know that I am not the biggest fan of Citrus Based Energy drinks. Nothing against them just a personal preference. Besides taste is subjective. So when originally trying this drink I was not totally looking forward to it as it is indeed citrus based. However, after the first couple sips I found that Sitrus Stunner was different than your everyday citrus based Energy Drink. In fact it tasted kind of like a Nerd Energy Drink combined with a WYD Citrus Green Tea both of which I highly enjoyed. So what exactly is that taste? Hard to pinpoint, but I liked it which is saying a lot since it is citrus based. Taste Rating - 9.1
Loud Energy Drink Review - Sitrus Stunner: Kick
So the taste is unique, even for a citrus based energy drink, but how will it hold up in the kick category? Well the energy ingredients are the same as the classic mix and include Caffeine, Guarana, B-Vitamins, Taurine and Ginseng. Caffeine and guarana (natural caffeine) combine with the other ingredients for a kick that rivals some of the bigger players in the Energy Drink Market, including Monster. Although the kick is not over the top, adding a 16 ounce or 24 ounce version will definitely up the kick anti. Regardless, the 12 ounce version still provides a very doable kick. Kick Rating - 8.8
Loud Energy Drink Review - Sitrus Stunner: Final Judgment
Well I have now tried both flavors of the Loud lineup and I would have to say that I am thoroughly impressed with both of them. They both provide an ample kick and a great taste. The fact that Sitrus Stunner has a citrus based flavor and I still like it in itself speaks wonders for these beverages. Best of luck to the people at Loud, hope they stick around for a long time so everyone can give these drinks a try! Besides two for $3.00 is a pretty good deal. Final Judgment - 9.0

Energy Drink Ratings Explained
Loud Energy Drink Review - Classic Mix
Well the new line of Energy Drinks from Loud Beverages was formed by Steve Rifkind of the Hip Hop label Loud Records. The new Loud Energy Drinks come in 2 flavors, Sitrus Stuner and Classic Mix which I will be reviewing today. Both drinks come in sleek 12 ounce cans and retail at two for $3.00. It also looks like they have future products planned for the lineup including two shots, one for energy and one for sex? The latter sounds quite interesting. Well enough fluff and let's see if Steve Rifkind can duplicate his record success in the Energy Drink Market.

Loud Energy Drink Review - Classic Mix Taste
The first sip brought back some memories from when I was a kid. I could not quite put my finger on the flavor but the slight carbonation and fruit punch like flavor was well received by this reviewer. Maybe the taste is similar to a Hawaiian Punch with a twist of carbonation added to the mix? Not quite sure but the results of the taste test were quite pleasant. My only disappointment came when I finished the can. Maybe a 16 ounce version should be in the works? The slight carbonation and fruit punch flavored taste would also be a great mixer. Wish I would of thought of that before I finished the can! Taste Rating - 9.2
Loud Energy Drink Review - Classic Mix Kick
Well the flavor was great, but will the kick hold up for this classic mix? Well the energy ingredients include Caffeine, Gurana, B-Vitamins, Taurine and Ginseng. The combination of caffeine and guarana (natural caffeine) seems to have given the Loud Classic Mix a nice boost. Although not one of the strongest drinks on the market, the kick is comparable to a Monster energy Drink. If Loud Beverages upped the anti and made a 16 ounce version I would have to say it would definitely be stronger than most of the competition. When all else is said and done, the kick is more than sufficient to get you moving. Kick Rating - 8.8
Loud Energy Drink Review - Classic Mix Final Judgment
Great flavor, great kick. The slight carbonation would make the Classic Mix a great candidate for a mixer (just don't over do it). As I said before, the only thing I see improving is adding a larger version to the mix or maybe a low cal / sugar free version would be a great addition to this lineup as well. The can currently has 150 calories which is actually pretty much on par with the rest of the industry but a lighter version would be a nice touch. I was more than pleased with this drink and can't wait to give the Sitrus Stunner a try. Final Judgment - 9.0

200 Energy Drinks Reviewed & Counting!

There was no Cocaine Energy Drink to stir up the media. However, in recent weeks there has been a flare of media coverage relating to Energy Drinks with Alcohol (which I covered over a year ago). Back then the ED / Alcohol market was somewhat small, but now it has grown tremendously and it seems that kids are able to buy these energy drinks with alcohol just as easily as the normal kind. What are we supposed to do about it seems to be the question on everyone's mind. Well some states are calling for an outright ban and some people in the media are blaming the energy drink companies for making the packaging too similar to the regular energy drinks. I do have my opinions on this subject but I think I will do what I do best and stick to reviewing. You guys can hash it out on this topic.
So what else has happened over the last 100 reviews?
Well I have updated my Best Energy Drinks and Strongest Energy Drinks lists to include beverages that were reviewed in the last 100. Both ended up seeing a couple additions so stop by and check it out. Besides those two lists I have had the privilege of trying some really good and really bad energy drinks over the last 6 months. I won't mention any of the crappy ones; however, I will mention one of the good ones that rather intrigued me. The ingenious WheyUP, an energy drink with 20 grams of protein in it that should do fairly well since this type of market was previously untapped.
What Are the Big Boy's Up To?
The last 6 months and 100 reviews showed that the big boys (except for Red Bull) are trying to expand their product lines. The Monster Energy Drinks line up expanded with the addition of coffee flavored ED's. I have only had the opportunity to try one, but the initial results did not seem too bad. On top of this Pepsi Co. released two new products to try and take advantage of those consumers looking for a higher caffeine kick, but not necessarily from ED's. These two products, Diet Pepsi Max and Mountain Dew Game Fuel have mass appeal, extra caffeine and an extremely small price tag. While not necessarily ED's, they do give a cheap kick.
Where's the Energy Drink Market going?
Well the trend of more energy ingredients (mainly caffeine) seems to be where a lot of ED's are going. I have reviewed two separated drinks that both had over 500 milligrams of caffeine. Compare that to the highly controversial Spike Shooter of 6 months ago that only (???) has 300 milligrams of caffeine. So where do we draw the line? Who knows, but this draws back into an article I wrote over a year ago about energy drinks and age limits.
Caffeine content of ED's continue to increase which plays into the fact that Sizes continue to increase as well, (I think there is a 32 ounce Monster Energy in the works). The more volume, the more caffeine and people don't always look at serving size. One 32 ounce Monster would be equivalent to four 8.4 ounce Red Bull's!
On a positive note ED's have been introducing healthier alternatives to their normal sugar laden products. These lo-carb, sugar free, low calorie ED's are something that the public really needed as most people don't know that you can easily take in 300 calories per drink. And if you have 2 or more per day those calories can really add up. Good thing I am an active person.
More choices
I have it made. I get to try a new ED almost everyday, but the majority of the public is still stuck on the big 3 brands (Red Bull, Monster, Rock Star) even though there are countless new drinks being introduced almost daily. I believe in 2006 there were almost 500 new ED's introduced and who know's how many have been introduced so far this year. They range from functional beverages like Function Alternative Energy to novelty drinks like Jimi Hendrix Liquid Experience. Heck there was even a drink created for the Christian Religious market called 1 in 3 Trinity.
So whatever niche you are currently in, trust me you are in one whether you know it or not, stay tuned for an ED that is targeted directly at you. Heck, maybe it will be a 144 ounce slushy with 1000 milligrams of caffeine targeted at little leaguers. Wait, do they already have that?
Talk to you in another 100 or so reviews!

Redline Power Rush Energy Drink Review

Cost: $3.00 - $3.50

Redline Power Rush Energy Drink Review
Well it has been quite awhile since I reviewed the original Redline Energy Drink. The bottles have changed slightly and they have added new flavors. Unfortanately I have not had a chance to try those new flavors but I do know that the Original Redline was in my top 5 for Strongest Energy Drinks. So when I heard about the new 2.5 ounce Redline Power Rush energy drink I was quite intrigued. Is Redline trying to go after 5-Hour Energy? It kind of looks like it since the tag line on Redline Power Rush states "7-Hour Energy Boost." Well is this fact true? And how does the new 2.5 ounce Exotic Fruit Power Rush taste? Well read on to find out.
Buy Redline Energy Drink Here
Redline Power Rush Energy Drink Review: Taste
Alright if you remember the last Redline Energy Drink review you know that the taste was not the greatest. So again I did not have high expectations when trying the new Redline Power Rush. I mean all that in a little 2.5 ounce bottle? Either way I shook the bottle before consuming (I have learned my lesson from other Energy Shots). My first sip was actually not too bad. You could definitely taste a mix of fruits; however, it was followed by a somewhat medicinal aftertaste which is understandable for an energy shot. After that I took one more gulp and the 2.5 ounce shot was gone. It was better than the original (maybe because I had to consume less?) and the mixed fruit flavor helped to hide all the energy ingredients too. Taste Rating - 6.5
Redline Power Rush Energy Drink Review: Kick
Well the taste is improved but will this little energy shot produce the same power as it's bigger sibling? Well this little 2 ounce bugger contains 175 milligrams of caffeine per serving. So since their is 2 servings in this shot it equates to 350 milligrams of caffeine if you drink the whole thing. But just to let you know that Redline only recommends using 1/2 the bottle for a full seven hours of energy. If you are caffeine sensitive I don't recommend trying this one at all. So did I follow directions? No I slammed the whole thing and I paid the price. I was a little jittery at first but then things did eventually calm down. Seven hours of energy? Well I didn't set a stop watch to it but I don't believer the kick lasted quite that long. However, as the bottle states there was no crash. The energy just sort of tapered off. Regardless the kick is good and is defintely on par with all the other hardcore enrgy drinks. It has been awhile since I had the original Redline but I think the kick factor of Power Rush is pretty much on par with it's bigger sibling. Kick Rating - 9.5
Redline Power Rush Energy Drink Review: Final Judgment
The price tag might be a little steep but you definitely get the kick you are looking for. The taste is not too bad for an energy shot either, it is actually slightly better than the original. Just be careful if you use this to workout. It does have a lot of caffeine so make sure you consume plenty of water to offset the dehydration effects. Final Judgment - 8.5

Whey Up Tropical Citrus Protein Energy Drink Review
Well I reviewed the original Whey Up Energy Drink back in April 2007. I have to tell you I was pumped up when I originally heard about the concept of an energy drink with protein back then and to tell you the truth I still am. If you have not read past reviews and figured out that I enjoy going to the gym than I might as well tell you again - I am a borderline gym rat and the Whey Up Protein Energy Drink is just what I need. I want the added protein and the extra energy right before I hit the gym. Why? Two reasons. 1) If I get up at the crack of dawn I need energy before I lift. Since I usually don't eat before I lift in the morning this would be a perfect supplement for me, especially the added protein. 2) If I go after an 8-12 hour day of work, I need energy and the protein with naturally occurring amino acids helps. Alright, I will quit babbling on about the Whey UP Energy Drink and just get to the review.
Official Site: Whey Up Protein Energy Drink
Whey Up Tropical Citrus Protein Energy Drink Review: Taste
As I said above, the first Whey UP I reviewed back in April. This one was berry flavored. The taste was good but their was slight room for improvement (which I found out has been done, so check back for an updated review). The tropical citrus flavor however leaves little room for improvement in the taste category. Even with 20 grams of protein, the Tropical Citrus flavor is very well blended. There is no medicinal or protein aftertaste at all. I don't know if you have ever had a powdered protein shake, but you can really get a protein aftertaste from them. Again not the case with Tropical Citrus Whey Up. Besides the great taste, you get a 16 ounce drink with only 90 calories. This means that there is only 10 calories in the drink that do not directly come from protein. To sum up, few calories and no protein or medicinal aftertaste. I like it alot and want more. Taste Rating - 9.0
Whey Up Tropical Citrus Protein Energy Drink Review: Kick
The taste and calorie factors are great (so is the 20 grams of protein), but how does the kick factor hold up? Is it enough to get me through a grueling workout after 10 hours of work? Well the energy blend contains taurine, a bunch of b-vitamins and 150 milligrams of caffeine. So no, the drink is not over the top in the caffeine category like some, but in my opinion, it is just the right amount of energy blend and caffeine to get me through a grueling workout without the jitters or without cramping up. Remember, too much caffeine before or during a workout can lead to cramps and dehydration. So after 10 hours of work, I had more than a satisfactory workout thanks to Whey Up. Kick Rating - 9.0
Whey Up Tropical Citrus Protein Energy Drink Review: Final Judgment
Summing up this beverage will be kind of tough since it has so much going for it, but I will give it a shot. It has a good taste, plenty of kick to get you through a grueling workout without cramps or worrying about dehydration, it has 20 grams of protein and there is only 90 calories in the entire 16 ounce bottle. Not only did it do the trick in the energy category, but it also seemed to curb my appetite before I worked out. Let me explain. Usually I have a protein shake and/or energy drink about an hour before I workout. The protein shake is usually 300 calories and the energy drink can run anywhere from 10 calories to 300 calories as well. So you are talking 310 to 600 calories consumed an hour before lifting. Kind of makes going to the gym almost pointless? So in case you can't tell by now, I am a pretty big fan of Whey Up. The functionality of combining protein and energy is great as are the results. Final Judgment - 9.2

Hunid Racks Mac Dre Energy Drink Review

Cost Per Ounce:$0.24
Active Ingredients:Caffeine, Guarana, Taurine, Ginseng, B-Vitamins
Taste Rating:9.1
Kick Rating:8.6
Final Judgment Rating:8.9

Hunid Racks Mac Dre Energy Drink Review
Well this would be the second Hunid Racks Energy Drink that I have reviewed. The first one was the original and this one is called Hunid Racks Mac Dre and comes with a tagline that says "FEEL N THEM SELVES." So who exactly is Mac Dre? He is a rapper and gained popularity in the San Francisco Bay Area in the mid 90's. He has his own record label and has created a popular dance named "Thizzle Dance." If you want to know more about Mac Dre visit the Hunid Racks site. I am just going to complete this post by telling you how the Energy Drink compares to the rest.
Hunid Racks Mac Dre Energy Drink Review: Taste
First off I would like to remind you that I was pleased with the original Hunid Racks. Now I would like to tell you that the Mac Dre edition tastes even better. This drink has a very overwhelming fruit flavor with a bit of tang added in the mix. You definitely can't taste any medicinal ingredients at all. It actually reminds me of a Hi-C fruit punch flavor, you know the ones that used to come in the metal cans. Taste Rating - 9.1
Hunid Racks Mac Dre Energy Drink Review: Kick
Well the fruit punch flavor is fantastic and almost made me want to "Thizzle Dance" (if I knew how). But how does the kick perform? Well with ingredients like 64 milligrams of caffeine, 52.5 milligrams of guarana extract (strong natural caffeine), 1,050 milligrams of taurine, Panax Ginseng and a bunch of B-Vitamins the Mac Dre Hunid Racks definitely provides enough energy to get up and dance. The kick is definitely better than Red Bull but it is not the Strongest Energy Drink out there. However, if they sold this in a 16 ounce version it would be up their in the ratings. Kick Rating - 8.6
Hunid Racks Mac Dre Energy Drink Review: Final Judgment
Great tasting fruit juice flavor with a pretty good kick to follow. As I sad above, a 16 ounce version of this drink would be great. Otherwise, I see little room for improvement. Give it a try if you can find it. Final Judgment - 8.9

Energy Drink Ratings Explained
ex Energy Drink Review
Well today I am going to try the ex energy drink. The slim 8.4 ounce can has a pretty cool design and totes "no artificial anything." So it looks like the this beverage is going to be shooting for the all natural or functional Energy Drinks market which I rather like. The ex energy drink is made by Extreme Drinks who also make several other beverages including flavored vitamin water and relaxing beverages. So let's find out how this drink performs in the taste and kick categories.
ex Energy Drink Review: Taste
Usually I am pretty good at pinpointing the flavor of a drink, but occasionally I run into a drink that is hard to describe and the ex energy drink is one of them. I really don't know how to explain the taste except that it is refreshing, somewhat fruity and has a very light taste to it. I experienced no harsh medicinal aftertaste at all, in fact the thought never even crossed my mind. Either way you look at it the taste was quite unique and I rather enjoyed it. I was kind of sad after I finished the 8.4 ounces as this is a drink I would enjoy on a normal basis, even if I didn't need energy. Taste Rating - 9.3
ex Energy Drink Review: Kick
Alright the taste is unique and refreshing, so how does the kick perform? Well this drink contains Kombucha, which is supposed to give similar benefits as tea, and 320 milligrams of Guarana extract (natural caffeine) along with some b-vitamins. I am not too familiar with Kombucha but I do know that Guarana extract is supposed to be stronger than the normal caffeine you would get in a cup of coffee. So yeah the drink delivered a nice kick, nothing over the top to make me jittery, but just enough to get the job done and keep me motivated. Kick Rating - 8.8
ex Energy Drink Review: Final Judgment
Great taste, good kick and no artificial ingredients all we need is for Extreme Drinks to release a 16 ounce version and a diet version. Other than that there is really very little room for improvement in this drink. As I stated above, I would drink this all the time, even if it didn't have any energy ingredients. If you can find it, I recommend giving it a try. Final Judgment - 9.0

Wired XXX Energy Drink Review
Well it has been quite awhile since I reviewed a Wired Energy Drink. I think I have about 10 or so of the 17 different flavors reviewed so far. This may be because I was slacking on reviewing Energy Drinks through the entire month of September. Sorry about that. Well back to the review of the Wired XXX. So this 16 ounce drink contains something called horny goat weed. What is horny goat weed? Well since it does not fall into the taste or kick categories I will review it here briefly. Horny Goat weed is an aphrodisiac that the Chinese have been using for hundreds of years. That's right it is supposed to make you horny. What more can you ask for? A drink that gives you energy and makes you horny? Seriously no comments necessary. I just hope this product does not make it's way into junior high schools as pubescent boys have enough trouble concentrating at school as it is! Enough fluff and onto the review of Wired XXX.

Wired XXX Energy Drink Review: Taste
Well first off this drink basically tastes like a Red Bull Energy Drink without the medicinal aftertaste. Now there is nothing wrong with that, trust me this kind of flavored energy drink has a huge following. However, I personally am not a huge fan of Red Bull flavored energy drinks. But, as I have said before, taste is subjective. Since Wired XXX improved on the Red Bull flavor (removed medicinal aftertaste) I will give it a decent taste rating. Taste Rating - 8.2
Wired XXX Energy Drink Review: Kick
Well the taste is not too bad, but how is the kick? Well the energy ingredients for the 16 ounce Wired XXX include 150 milligrams of caffeine, a ton of b-vitamins, 1000 milligrams of taurine (and horny goat weed for increased blood flow?). So it may taste similar to a redbull but it offers a much better kick. Kick Rating - 8.8
Wired XXX Energy Drink Review: Final Judgment
Similar taste to Red Bull, less the medicinal aftertaste and an improved kick. Add in a little horny goat weed and we got a pretty decent energy drink with a little extra to offer. Although I would have liked to try out the Horny Goat Weed claim, I did not have a chance. I actually had this at work during lunch and ended up having this at work and did not notice the horny goat weed claim until I got home. So I did not really have a chance to try it. If anybody else has feel free to chime in below in the comments section. Final Judgment - 8.6

Energy Drink Ratings Explained
HC Hot Cocoa Energy Drink Review
Alright a couple weeks ago I raved about a new product that I brought Backpacking. Well I am finally going to get around to reviewing the HC Hot Cocoa Energy Drink. So what exactly is this product. Well the name pretty much says it all, but in case you couldn't figure it out it is Hot Cocoa with added energy ingredients. I have mentioned before that I am not a huge coffee fan. I only drink it as a last resort on really cold days. Since I live in Wisconsin, those days will be on me shortly (and there will be plenty of them). So when I heard about this product I was more than excited. Right now this product is only available in single serving packets (mix with water) which are $0.99 a piece or you can get a carton of 12 for $10.00. However, it will be available shortly in bulk one pound containers that will cost $7.00.
HC Hot Cocoa Energy Drink Review: Taste
Well most people reading this have probably had hot cocoa one time or another during their life. If you have not, you don't know what you are missing! So when I tried the HC Hot Cocoa energy drink I was more than pleased to find that not only did it duplicate the taste of Hot Cocoa, it actually was better than the majority of Hot Cocoa products that you can buy, Hershey's Nestles, etc. The taste was spot on, the addition of added energy ingredients was not present in the taste and there was absolutely no medicinal aftertaste. So if you are one of those people like me who do not really enjoy coffee products, but are looking for a warm energy drink to give you that morning boost than I suggest you give HC Hot Cocoa a try. Taste Rating - 9.5
HC Hot Cocoa Energy Drink Review: Kick
First off I would like to say that I love hot cocoa. The only problem with hot cocoa is that once you finish the beverage it is no longer functional. That is until now. The addition of energy ingredients like Tea Extract and B-Vitamins. It also includes a bunch of anti-oxidants, vitamins, minerals and amino acids that help strengthen the immune system. So not only does it give you a boost of energy, it also helps prevent you from getting sick which is great for outdoor winter enthusiasts. So how was the kick. Since there was no caffeine I thought the kick would be lacking; however, I would say it is comparable to your average cup of joe (average cup of joe contains about 80 milligrams of caffeine which is also the same amount of caffeine in a 8.4 ounce Red Bull). Kick Rating - 8.2
HC Hot Cocoa Energy Drink Review: Final Judgment
Provides a decent kick, helps your immune system and tastes great. So what more can you ask for from the folks at HC Hot Cocoa Energy? Well they should hurry up and release their 1 pound bulk version so I can buy some. Other than that nice job guys. Final Judgment - 9.0

Energy Drink Ratings Explained
Life Force V Energy Drink Review
Today I am going to be trying the Life Force Energy Drink which is toted as "giving natural stamina & focus from balanced nutrition." This drink comes in a 10 ounce plastic resealable bottle and comes with the tag line "sip..soar..restore" which is pretty unique. This drink is slightly different than your normal everyday Energy Drinks as this one takes a more nutritional approach by adding in a Whole bunch of Vitamins and Nutrients. All this is and it's only 50 calories.

Life Force V Energy Drink Review: Taste
Well first off the 10 ounce bottle states that the taste is Natural Passion Orange flavored. Basically the package is right on although the orange flavor does overwhelm the passion flavor a bit. The drink itself is a little more syrupy than your normal energy drink, but your normal energy drink does not contain all these added vitamins and nutrients (including protein). So the extra syrup, although dully noted, does not really effect my taste rating as the benefits by far exceed the thickness and remind you more of a juice or light smoothie. Taste Rating - 8.9
Life Force V Energy Drink Review: Kick
And now for the important part! Well I am not going to list all of the vitamins, minerals and nutrients of this drink as this would take forever. However, I will list the ones that will effect your energy level. This drink does contain caffeine, just not sure how much. It also contains Green Tea Extract, Ginseng Extract and some B-Vitamins. What really sets this drink apart is the fact that it also utilizes carbs (slow burning energy) and protein. Like I said there are a bunch of other ingredients in there but the main energy ones are listed above. So how does it perform? Well, for being a healthy alternative to your everyday sugar loaded energy drink, I was quite pleased. The energy was delivered smoothly and seemed to last for quite awhile and I got no energy crash later. Kick Rating - 8.8
Life Force V Energy Drink Review: Final Judgment
Good kick and good taste but what sets Life Force apart from the majority of the competition is that it is a healthier alternative to your everyday energy drink. So if you are looking for a quick energy boost and some added vitamins, minerals and protein then check this one out. The only bad thing I could find about this beverage is that it is about $3.00; however, the nutritional value does seem to justify the cost and you can buy these in bulk to save money. Final Judgment - 8.8

Zipfizz Orange Lemon Lime Energy Shot:
Alright I know I have not been posting as much as I normally do, but good weather is coming to a close here in Wisconsin so I am trying to take advantage of it as much as possible. Don't get me wrong I have been trying new Energy Drinks daily, I just have not had time to blog about them. So basically I got quite a backlog. Today I thought I would give the new Orange Lemon Lime Zipfizz a shot. The funny thing is in the last review I did of Zipfizz I stated they should make more flavors since it was such a good energy shot. Well I highly doubt they did it based on my opinion alone, but hey ask and you shall receive. So what is Zipfizz? Well it is basically a 4 ounce Energy Shot. How does it perform? Read on to find out.
Zipfizz Orange Lemon Lime Energy Shot: Taste
Well, Orange, Lemon, Lime kind of sounded like an odd combination of ingredients at first. But after giving the Zipfizz shot a quick gulp I was pretty pleased. You can taste the lemon and lime flavoring, but the orange taste kind of over powers them in the end. There is a very slight medicinal aftertaste, but hey what do you expect when you cram all those energy ingredients into a tiny 4 ounce shot. I actually prefer the Original Zipfizz over the Orange, Lemon, Lime one, but taste is subjective anyway. Taste Rating - 8.6
Zipfizz Orange Lemon Lime Energy Shot: Kick
Well the taste is pretty good, but could Zipfizz pull off a decent kick in 4 ounces? You bet, just as they did with the original, Zipfizz managed to do with the Orange Lemon Lime. The energy ingredients include 120 milligrams of caffeine, green tea extract, taurine and an unbelievable amount of b-vitamins. What is an unbelievable amount of B-Vitamins you might ask? How about 41,667% of your daily allowance of vitamin B-12. Not too shabby. All this while being a Sugar Free Energy Drink. Kick Rating - 9.3
Zipfizz Orange Lemon Lime Energy Shot: Final Judgment
Pretty good taste and a strong kick. It's sugar free, has only 30 calories and is a quick fix for energy. Well in the closing section of my last Zipfizz review I asked for more flavors and my wish came true. I had 3 cases of new flavors at my door. This time I am going to suggest the aor wish for a new car (2008 Audi R8 preferably). If one shows up at my door I would be forever grateful to Zipfizz and I would guarantee the rest of their products a perfect 10 review! (Hey one can wish cant they). All foolishness aside (or is it), they are two for two so far in the energy shot category. Stay tuned for the review of their other two flavors. Final Judgment - 9.0

Energy Drink Ratings Explained
Syzmo Energy Drink Review
Well today I am going to review the original Syzmo Energy Drink. I am a little excited about reviewing the Syzmo Energy Drink as it is an organic energy drink. I have reviewed (so far) over 180 Energy Drinks and only a handful of them have been organic. So what makes an energy drink organic? Well first off Syzmo is certified as Organic by Quality Assurance International, Inc. Basically organic means that there are no synthetics or organic sweeteners. There are also no preservatives. Another cool thing I read while on the Syzmo Website is that it has a Glycemic Index Rating of 30 which is better than your normal everyday juice. So let's see how this healthy organic energy drink performs in the taste and kick category.
Buy Syzmo Energy Drinks Here
Syzmo Energy Drink Review: Taste
Well first off it says right on the 12 ounce can "Blue Agave." Now I have tried other beverages with this flavoring and some have been hit an miss. However, the Syzmo energy drink Blue Agave taste is actually quite refreshing meaning no bitter or medicinal aftertaste. This beverage is also slightly carbonated which only adds to the refreshing taste. I wish I could describe the Blue Acave taste better but I am having a hard time putting it into words. It is just really refreshing and I recommend giving this one a try, not only for the taste but for the health aspects (compared to normal energy drinks). Taste Rating 9.3
Syzmo Energy Drink Review: Kick
Taste was outstanding, probably one of the best organic drinks I have tried to date. So how does this organic drink get it's kick. Well it looks like the energy ingredients include Guarana Extract, B-Vitamin, green tea extract, yerba mate and organic caffeine. Not sure what the difference between organic and regular caffeine is but the kick seems to be pretty much the same. Don't get me wrong, the kick was not over the top, nor was it expected. If you are marketing your drink as organic and want it to be refreshing, the last thing you want to do is give someone jitters. No jitters or no crash experienced on my end. Just a nice uplifting kick that lasted a couple hours. Kick Rating - 8.8
Syzmo Energy Drink Review: Final Judgment
Great taste, especially for an organic energy drink (actually better tasting than most regular energy beverages). Kick is refreshing and does the job for a couple of hours. There is only about 144 calories in this 12 ounce can so that is nice as well. Overall a well rounded drink. If you are looking for an organic energy drink, I recommend giving this one a try. Stay tuned for the reviews of Prickly Pear and Passion flavors. Final Judgment - 9.0
