180 Blue and the Acai Berry
In addition to the juice from Acai Berries, 180 Blue also contains guarana, red grape and blueberry juices (which is where it gets its flavor from). So not only do you have the health benefits of the Acai berries you also get the stimulating effects of guarana which is potent and natural form of caffeine.
What’s the deal with these Acai Berries?
Not only does the Acai berry provide you with an extra boost of energy; it is also very healthy for you. A couple of the supposed benefits include; twice the cancer beating antioxidants of blueberries (from anthocyanin), fights cholesterol better than red wine. Heck this might even prevent you from going crazy as it certain properties in the Acai berry suggest that it may help protect against neurological diseases.
Where to Find It?
You can find the new 180 online or nationally at convenience and grocery stores and bars and clubs in 8 ounce or 16 ounce cans.
Effect on the Energy Drink Market
With all these health benefits and energy boosting ingredients I really see the 180 doing a 180 on the energy drink market. Now people over the age of 40 and health conscious consumers can turn to energy drinks instead of just the younger generation. The energy drink market has had staggering growth over the last couple of years, and by expanding to a new market segment I don’t believe that it will slow down.
You can find these drinks from Anheuser Busch in the typical places (supermarkets, bars, gas stations), but where it should be found is in health food stores like GNC or Vitamin World. Hey if you are going to make a healthy energy drink, why not make it available where people that are concerned about there health shop.
Check back, as soon as I can get my hands on this drink I will review it! I am dying to know what the addition of this new fruit will do for the 180! Or if you have not tried the original yet, check out my review of the 180 Energy Drink here.

Having one right now. I am also a 180 Orange fan. This is much better, but way sweeter. Definately carries a bigger caffeine kick.
I really like the 180 Blue with acai, but I've not been able to find it anywhere around the greater LA area except in Hermosa or Manhattan Beaches. The sales rep with that territory really earned his commision. I've been on an acai kick (the Brazilian independance day festival had lots of imported drinks with guarana or acai this year) but unless you're near a Brazilian import market, you're fresh outta luck. If anyone has spotted the elusive 180 Blue beverage around LA, please tell me where! Thanks!
what kind of an effect does guarana have on your body? same or less of a jolt than coffee or strong tea? does it make your heart race?
Wow. This drink really does something. Especially when you have 2 in a row. Me and a friend did that and a few hours later we could hardly walk, we were like drunk. If you haven't had this drink yet, only drink 1 at a tme.
wow. didn't expect the kick to still be goin 7 hours later. don't drink this after 5 pm on a school/work night =]
definite 10 out of 10 as far as i'm concerned
This stuff is great - Instead of my usual coffee in the mornings I drink this stuff - no crash from the sugar and i had actually lost a little weight because i havent drank so much coffee.
Love the taste - you gotta drink it.
Someone brought in a free case of this drink...I have had various ones from the many competitors...this is really good...leave it to Bud to get another great product on the market!
I have found the 180 acai berry at a store on Brittany,LA. Thats near Gonzales. Also there is a store in Gross Tate, LA. If you dont live near either of these, you can go to the direct website for 180 and email them. I recieved a email back within a day or two with 2 locations I could get the 180's from. Plus the one in Brittany is gona order them for me by the case. Good Luck on your search.
I am also a 180 Orange fan. This is much better, but way sweeter. Definately carries a bigger caffeine kick.
