XENERGY Energy Drink - Cran Razz

Taste Rating:8.8
Kick Rating:8.8
Final Judgment Rating:8.8
Energy Drink Ratings Explained

XENERGY Cran Razz Review:
Well this will be my third XENERGY Energy Drink review of the XENERGY Energy Drinks and I have to say that I have been pleased so far with the previous flavors. The previous two flavors I reviewed were Blu Pom and Pink Lemon. These drinks come in both 8 ounce and 16 ounce versions. The full flavor line up includes; Mango Guava, Blu Pom, Pink Lemon, Citrus Clear, Cran-Razz (which I am reviewing today) and Big Apple. The only other interesting tid bit I know about the XYIENCE products is that they are the official energy drink of the UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship) and that it is pronounced "Zenergy." So enough fluff and onto the review of the 16 ounce Cran Razz from XENERGY.

XENERGY Cran Razz Review: Taste
So with a name like Cran Razz it is pretty obvious what kind of flavor you are going to get. But will XENERGY actually deliver a cranberry / raspberry flavor? Yes, but the overwhelming flavor seems to be the cranberry, followed by a hint of raspberry. So the flavor is pretty good, not my favorite from XENERGY but still has a great taste with no medicinal aftertaste while being remaining sugar free like the rest of the lineup. The entire lineup is also carbonated, so I am not sure if you want to chug this before or during a workout. I know I drank it about 30 minutes prior to my workout this morning and I had no trouble with the carbonation level's while working out. Taste Rating - 8.8

XENERGY Cran Razz Review: Kick
Well XENERGY delivered another good tasting sugar free energy drink but will it deliver as much kick as a UFC fighter? Well the energy ingredients include 190 milligrams of caffeine, guarana extract, taurine, b-vitamins, ginseng extract and inositol. So sure it delivers a comparable yet slightly better kick than Monster Energy Drinks, but it is not the strongest drink available on the market. That being said, this drink is supposed to be formulated with the athlete in mind, and too much caffeine in one sitting can be detrimental to an athlete. That being said, I think Xyience found the right combination of energy ingredients for the athlete, keeping over stimulation out of the equation. Kick Rating - 8.8

XENERGY Cran Razz Review: Final Judgment
Although not my favorite flavor from XENERGY, I do have to say that they are 3 for 3 so far in my book. Sugar free ED's that deliver a great kick that is comparable to market leaders Monster and Rock Star while providing a great taste. So to sum up - great taste, zero calories / zero sugar and ample kick with a competitive price tag of $2.49 and you have yourself a well rounded ED. Stay tuned for the rest of the reviews.

Zantrex-3 Insta Shot Review

Zantrex-3 Energy Shot
Cost: $2.99
Cost Per Ounce:$1.50
Active Ingredients:Caffeine, green tea leaf, guarana extract, yerba mate, b-vitamins
Taste Rating:8.2
Kick Rating:9.0
Final Judgment Rating:8.7
Energy Drink Ratings Explained

Zantrex-3 Insta Shot Review
Well the makers of the Zantrex-3 Weight Loss formula have come out with their own energy shot called Zanrex-3 Insta Shot. This just shows you how lucrative the Energy Drinks market still is. Everyone and their cousin is getting into the market one way or another. And in my opinion this is good, as it gives the consumer more choices, cheaper alternatives and niche products. So let's see if the 2-Ounce Orange Octane from Zantrex-3 offers anything good to the Energy Drinks Market.

Zantrex-3 Insta Shot Review: Taste
As I stated above this little 2 ounce bugger is called Orange Octane. So before I tried it I knew what kind of flavoring I was in for, which is more than I can say for some energy shots on the market. So does it actually have an orange flavor? It sure does, although the flavor is quite concentrated, which is understandable as it is crammed into 2 ounces. There is a bit of medicinal aftertaste / bite as well, but that is understandable and the bite is pretty much average for most energy shots. So as far as taste goes, the Orange Octane from Zantrex-3 is slightly above average for an energy shot. Taste Rating - 8.2

Zantrex-3 Insta Shot Review: Kick
So the taste is slightly above average but how does the kick perform? Well with a claim of lasting 5-hours this shot better back up it's performance with some serious energy ingredients. And to me it looks like they have done this with energy ingredients that include, 220 milligrams of caffeine, green tea leaf, guarana extract, yerba mate, tons of b-vitamins and a bunch of other stuff that I have never heard of. So does it last 5-hours? You bet. It definitely packs a punch and is one of the stronger energy shots that I have tried. It is actually pretty close to the 5 Hour Energy Drink! Kick Rating - 9.0

Zantrex-3 Insta Shot Review: Final Judgment
So it has a pretty decent flavor for an energy shot, especially considering all the energy ingredients, and it definitely packs a punch. For $2.99 you can pick up a single 2 ounce bottle or you can pick them up in bulk. By buying six 6-packs for$66.00 you can bring the cost down to under $2.00 each. You can get them online or you can also purchase them at the following brick and mortar stores: Wal-Mart, Walgreen’s, and Rite Aid. If anyone knows anywhere else to purchase feel free to chime in. Final Judgment - 8.7

Nano Coffee Energy Review

Nano Coffee Energy
Cost:$1.49 for 2 Pills
Cost Per Ounce:NA
Active Ingredients:Caffeine, Guarana, Green Tea Extract, Taurine, B-VITAMINS
Taste Rating:NA
Kick Rating:9.0
Final Judgment Rating:9.0
Energy Drink Ratings Explained

Nano Coffee Energy Review:
Well this is a little outside the scope of my normal Energy Drinks that I review, but the end result for Nano Coffee is meant to be the same. But really, why I am I reviewing Nano Coffee Energy? Well after doing a little research on their site, I could not resist passing up what this little pill packs as it is supposed to deliver as much energy as two cups of coffee in one little pill. This little "magic pill" is meant to give you all the energy that you would get from two cups of coffee or 16 ounce energy drinks - but without the calories and crash. So enough fluff, let's see if this little bugger can live up to what it is supposed to do.

Free Sample of 3 Packets (6 pills) - Just Pay Shipping

Nano Coffee Energy Review: Benefits
Normally this section is reserved for the taste of a product. However, this does not really apply to Nano Coffee as all you are doing is swallowing the pill. Even though it does not technically apply, I would like to add that Nano actually smells like coffee! Nano Coffee also has vitamin C which acts as an antioxidant. So besides giving energy and acting as an antioxidant, Nano Coffee is also supposed to be a great addition to a workout and a helping hand with weight loss with the addition of green tea extract which can help increase the body's metabolism. Now I am not going to be able to test this weight loss formula in one sitting but I will put this little puppy to the test at the gym. So 20 minutes before I start my workout I pop one magic pill. Read on to see if it provides the energy promised.

Nano Coffee Energy Review: Kick
Before I let you know if Nano Coffee enhanced my workout or not I will let you know what kind of energy ingredients it is packing. The list of energy ingredients for one pill includes 200 milligrams of caffeine, guarana seed extract, roasted coffee bean, taurine, green tea extract, Vitamin B-12 (50,000 % of your daily allowance - no it's not a typo) and 100% of your daily allowance of B6. You are probably thinking the same thing I was when I first tried it. How the f**k did they get all this stuff into a tiny pill. I'm not sure but the roomer is elves. Either way all these energy ingredients really gave my workout a huge boost. I had no problem finishing five sets of bench, jumping over and doing 5 sets of incline dumbbell press, doing another 5 sets of dumbbell flyes and finishing off strong with 20 minutes of intense cardio which I never feel like doing. I was pretty impressed. The best part about using this for my workout was not only the convenience but the lack of carbonation. No carbonation meant I didn't have to slow down my workout to let my stomach settle. Kick Rating - 9.0

Nano Coffee Energy Review: Final Judgment
Now each packet contains 2 pills. Each packet costs about $1.49. So for $1.49 you are getting more energy than you would if you drank two 16 ounce Rockstar or Monster Energy Drinks. That I like. More energy less money. These things get even cheaper if you order them in bulk. All in all, I was a little skeptical at first, but I am more than glad I got to try these little buggers. Final Judgment - 9.0

XENERGY Blu Pom Energy Drink Review

XENERGY Blu Pom Energy Drink
Cost:$2.49
Cost Per Ounce:$0.16
Active Ingredients:Caffeine, Taurine, Guarana Extract, B-Vitamins, Ginseng
Taste Rating:9.1
Kick Rating:8.8
Final Judgment Rating:9.0
Energy Drink Ratings Explained

Energy Drink Review:
Well this will be the second XENERGY Energy Drink review that I have done. Xenergy is made by Xyience and the Energy Drinks come in 8 ounce and 16 ounce sizes in the following flavors; Mango Guava, Blu Pom (which I am reviewing today), Pink Lemon, Citrus Clear, Cran-Razz and Big Apple. The XENERGY Energy drink is the official sponsor of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). So enough fluff and onto the review of the 16 ounce XENERGY Blu Pom.

Energy Drink Review: Taste
Well first off I would like to state that all of the flavors from XENERGY are sugar free and contain zero carbs and zero calories. That being said I was very surprised at how the blueberry flavor performed. Not only did it taste great, but even with zero calories it still did not give off a medicinal aftertaste. The carbonation levels on this drink are not too strong either, making it a viable solution as a pick me up before a workout. Overall I was quite pleased and have to say that the blueberry flavor is my new favorite from XENERGY. Taste Rating - 9.1

Energy Drink Review: Kick
Well the taste is great, but will this 16 ounce Energy Drink deliver a solid kick? Well with a laundry list of energy ingredients that include 190 milligrams of caffeine, guarana extract, b-vitamins, taurine, panax ginseng extract and inositol you definitely get the kick you are looking for. The fact that the Blu Pom from XENERGY is sugar free is also great as you don't have to worry about any crash 2 hours after you drink it. I would have to say the kick probably lasted 3-4 hours, which doesn't make it the strongest ED on the market, but it definitely provides ample kick. Kick Rating - 8.8

Energy Drink Review: Final Judgment
So far the XENERGY Beverages are two for two in my book. I enjoyed the Pink Lemon and Blu Pom flavors. The kick was ample yet not over the top and the taste was great. The best feature of these drinks is probably the zero calories zero carbs. You can get a great tasting drink with plenty of energy for a workout and don't have to worry about running two extra miles to burn it off. Final Judgment - 9.0

Amp Energy Drink - Sugar Free

Sugar Free Amp Energy Drinks

Final Judgment Rating:8.4

Amp Energy Drink - Sugar Free Review:
Well I have reviewed quite a few Energy Drinks so far and this will be my third review of the AMP Energy Drinks. A lot seems to have changed since I picked up this sugar free Amp Energy Drink, they got a major sponsor in Dale Earnhardt Jr. which has vastly increased the popularity of these drinks. As of right now they offer two flavors, AMP Original which is available in sugar free and Amp Overdrive. The drinks also come in several sizes including 8.3 oz, 16 ounce (Tall Boy) and 24 ounce. (Big Rig) cans. Today's review has me trying out the 16 ounce sugar free version of AMP which has only 10 calories. Let's see how it performs in the taste and kick categories.

Amp Energy Drink - Sugar Free Review: Taste
So how does it taste? Well it is almost identical to the original AMP Energy drink which tastes pretty similar to a Mountain Dew. It is not quite as sweet as the original, but sucralose used for sweetening (and to cut calories) keeps the taste pretty darn close. Now I have been a fan of Mountain Dew for a long time, even before Energy Drinks became popular. So if you like Mountain Dew you should be a fan of the sugar free AMP! Taste Rating - 8.5

Amp Energy Drink - Sugar Free Review: Kick
Well will this drink really get you Amped Up? Well the energy drink ingredient list includes (entire 16 ounce can) 142 milligrams of caffeine, 300 milligrams of Guarana Seed Extract (natural caffeine) as well as a hint of B-Vitamins. So the main ingredients seem to be caffeine and natural caffeine and they do the trick quite well, but AMP does fall short of some of the Strongest Energy Drinks on the market. Kick Rating - 8.2

Amp Energy Drink - Sugar Free Review: Final Judgment
I like the fact that a sugar free option is available and I like the taste. The kick is not bad, it does do the trick. It is also nice that you can pick one of these up pretty much anywhere, especially now that Dale Earnhardt Jr. is Amp's man! Final Judgment - 8.4

Jolt Energy Drink Review - Cherry Bomb

Jolt Energy Drink - Cherry Bomb
Cost:$1.99
Cost Per Ounce:$0.09
Active Ingredients:Caffeine, Taurine, B-Vitamins
Taste Rating:8.4
Kick Rating:9.0
Final Judgment Rating:8.7
Energy Drink Ratings Explained

Jolt Energy Drink Review - Cherry Bomb:
Well this will be my third review of the Jolt Energy Drink lineup - they have a total of six flavors. Today's flavor is cherry bomb and it comes in the completely unique 23.5 ounce carbonated battery style can. If you have never tried one before I suggest you pick one up just for the can. When you open the Jolt Energy Drinks, they have somewhat of a dry ice effect which is pretty cool. Anyways, enough fluff, let's see how the Jolt Cherry Bomb does in the taste and kick categories!

Jolt Energy Drink Review - Cherry Bomb: Taste
So what does a cherry bomb taste like, well it pretty much tastes like a cherry coke or your favorite cherry cola. The carbonation levels are pretty high so this doesn't make the best drink to use during a workout but it will definitely work for a long day at the office or playing video games, especially since it is 23.5 ounce and resealable. Enjoy your cherry cola flavored Jolt now and then have some a little later. Overall there are 66 milligrams of sugar in this drink making it pretty sweet; however, when compared to other mainstream energy drinks like Rockstar with 62 milligrams of sugar in a 16 ounce can, or 93 in a similar 23.5 ounce can, then Jolt does not look bad at all. Taste Rating - 8.4

Jolt Energy Drink Review - Cherry Bomb: Kick
So we have established that the Jolt Cherry Bomb pretty much taste like a cherry soda, but how does it perform in the kick category? Well this ain't your normal cherry soda, this bad boy has a ton of energy ingredients and if you drink the entire 23.5 ounce bottle in one sitting you will have consumed 280 milligrams of caffeine, 2800 milligrams of taurine, 56 milligrams of guarana (natural caffeine) and a ton of b-vitamins. That's a lot of energy and of course I drank the whole thing and I was literally bouncing off the walls from all the energy ingredients and sugar. Kick Rating 9.0

Jolt Energy Drink Review - Cherry Bomb: Final Judgment
The bottles are truly unique (at least until Rockstar copied them), the taste was good and the kick is tremendous. Combine that with the fact that you can pick a single can for about $2.00 almost anywhere or you can even order a 12 pack at the Jolt site for only $19.95 which brings the price down to $1.66 a can. Not too bad, just remember if you are sensitive to caffeine I don't recommend drinking the bottle in one sitting, the 23.5 ounce can actually contains 3 servings! Final Judgment 8.7

Frank's Energy Drink Review - Classic

Franks Energy Drinks
Cost:$1.99
Cost Per Ounce:$$0.13
Active Ingredients:Caffeine, Taurine, B-Vitamins
Taste Rating:8.9
Kick Rating:8.2
Final Judgment Rating:8.7
Energy Drink Ratings Explained

Frank's Energy Drink Review:
I have tried 250 + Energy Drinks and I don't recall trying one that was made in Austria which means Frank's Energy Drink will be a first in that category. I heard of this drink several month's ago, but I really got interested in the brand once I found out Gene Simmons of Kiss was a sponsor. Not too long after there was rumor of a explicit tape with Simmons and a Frank's Energy girl which really sparked my interest (of the energy drink of course). The drinks come in sleek 8.4 ounce (250 milliliter) and 16 ounce (500 milliliter) cans and there are 4 flavors available; classic (which I am reviewing today), sugar free, pineapple and lime. Other than that I don't know much about Frank's energy drink, so let's see how it performs in the taste and kick categories.

Frank's Energy Drink Review - Classic: Taste
The taste of this drink is quite unique. My first sip made me think of Red Bull but then a second later a rush of flavor hit my mouth of what I can only describe as a bubble gum type flavor. I wish I could describe the flavor better, but before I knew it I had drank the whole 8.4 ounce can and was left wanting more! The bubble gum taste was just great and the carbonation levels were spot on! Top that off with no traces of medicinal flavoring and we have a pretty good tasting drink. Taste Rating - 8.9

Frank's Energy Drink Review - Classic: Kick
Well the taste was definitely good, but will Frank give you the kick in the pants you are looking for? Well the energy ingredients include 80 milligrams of caffeine, 1000 milligrams of taurine and a large quantity of b-vitamins. So the ingredients are pretty similar to the old industry standard that Red Bull set with the exception of the mass quantities of b vitamins. So the kick is not the strongest, but you can definitely feel it! Kick Rating - 8.2

Frank's Energy Drink Review - Classic: Final Judgment
The taste was great making the slim 8.4 ounce drink short lived and the kick was slightly better than that of industry leader Red Bull. I think both above issues would have been solved if I would have sampled the 16 ounce version! This way I woould not have complained when I finished the drink so quick and doubling the size can double the kick! Final Judgment - 8.7

Kick Rating:10!
Final Judgment Rating:9.7 (tons of energy!)
Energy Drink Ratings Explained

Extra Strength 5 Hour Energy Drink Review:
Well if you are reading this review you have probably already heard of one of my favorite Energy Drinks, that being the 5 Hour Energy Drink. Why is it one of my favorites? Well it packs an incredible kick into a tiny little 2 ounce portable bottle. So if it packs such a great kick, why are they introducing an extra strength 5 Hour Energy? Well since you see 5-Hour Energy at almost every convenience store / gas station you may have noticed the multitude of energy shots coming in promising 6,7 and even 8 hours of energy. Well I have tried some of these and the promises of 6,7 and 8 hours of energy are pretty much marketing hype. Nonetheless, they are out there which led Living Essentials, the makers of 5-Hour Energy to introduce and extra strength version of their product. So let's see how it compares to the original in the taste and kick categories!

Extra Strength 5 Hour Energy Drink Review: Taste
Well as you may recall, 5-Hour Energy Drinks come in two flavors, Berry (original) and Lemon Lime both of which are sugar free and only contain 4 calories. The extra strength 5 Hour tastes pretty much identical to the original berry flavor. Make sure you shake before drinking, it brings the berry taste and aroma out better. Taste Rating - 8.5

Extra Strength 5 Hour Energy Drink Review: Kick
Alright so the original berry taste is still in tact, but what's all this about extra strength? Well it looks like the energy blend was upped to 2000 mg from 1870 mg (see original Ingredient List Here). The order of the energy ingredient list was jumbled around a bit as well with taurine being moved to the 1st energy ingredient. Caffeine was moved from the last ingredient to the second to last ingredient as well. The niacin dose was upped from 30 milligrams to 40 milligrams as well. The B-Vitamin level remained the same with 40 milligrams of vitamin b-6 (2000% of your daily allowance) and 500mcg of vitamin b-12 (8333% of your daily allowance). So, does it pack more of a punch than the original? Well I gave the original a kick rating of 9.5 and there is definitely a bigger dose of energy in the extra strength version. It has been over Five Hours since I consumed the extra strength version and I am still pumped full of energy. So, in my experience the extra strength version definitely packs more of a punch than the original. Kick Rating - 10!

Extra Strength 5 Hour Energy Drink Review: Final Judgment
So if you are a die hard 5-hour fan like me and you are looking for even more energy from them, give the extra strength version a try. The taste is the same and the kick is improved. In my opinion they didn't need to increase the strength of the drink to combat the new 6,7 and 8 hour energy shots as the original packs a great kick, but from a marketing stand point I can see why they did it. Besides, now they have a complete product line... 2 Original Flavors, Caffeine Free Version, and of course the extra strength version. So if you need even more energy than the original five hour, give the extra stength version a try. Final Judgment - 9.7 (tons of energy!)

If you like 5-Hour Energy, it is cheaper to buy it in bulk and the cheapest place I have seen it so far is on Amazon.com.

Joker Mad Energy + Juice Review

Joker Mad Energy + Juice
Cost: $1.99
Cost Per Ounce:$0.13
Active Ingredients:Caffeine, Taurine, B-Vitamins,
Taste Rating:9.0
Kick Rating:8.8
Final Judgment Rating:8.9
Energy Drink Ratings Explained

Joker Mad Energy + Juice Review:
Alright this is the second Joker Energy Drink Review that I am going to do, the first being the Joker Lo Carb which I thoroughly enjoyed. The Joker Energy Drink lineup has been around for quite awhile and this juice version continues a trend that other Energy Drinks have also followed - adding juice flavored drinks to their repertoire. Now a lot of energy drink manufacturers have done this juice addition only to add 5 or 10% juice. At least Joker has added 50% juice to their 16 ounce drink (per serving - 2 servings per can)! So enough fluff, let's see how it tastes and performs in the kick category!

Joker Mad Energy + Juice Review: Taste
As with the last Joker Drink, this one again was hard to pinpoint the exact taste. To me it was definitely a fruity taste with hints of citrus as well. The ingredient list includes these flavors - Apple, Orange, Pear, Peach, Tangerine, Pineapple and White Grape Juice. The blend was pulled off quite nicely and with only 140 calories in the entire 16 ounce can, Joker Mad Energy + Juice has lower calories than most of it's juice counterparts, as well as most regular Energy Drink. Overall the taste was quite refreshing and even a little exotic and 50% juice is definitely better than 5 or 10% juice! Overall a little sweet but still really good! Taste Rating - 9.0

Joker Mad Energy + Juice Review: Kick
The taste was exotic and juicy (pun intended), but will it hold up in the kick category? Well there is 5000 milligrams in the entire 16 ounce can of the following ingredients: Glucose, Caffeine, Guarana, Inositol, Maltrodextrin and lucuronolactone as well as a ton of B-Vitamins. So yeah that is a pretty potent blend so the kick was definitely noticeable. There was also only 34 milligrams of sugar in the entire can. Although still too much sugar for this guy it is less than Monster and Rockstar. Overall I liked the kick and would recommend giving this one a try. Kick Rating - 8.8

Joker Mad Energy + Juice Review: Final Judgment
Good kick and great taste. If Joker could reproduce this same taste and kick with a low calorie version I think this would be one of my favorite drinks. If you can find one, I recommend giving it a try. Feel free to chime in to let readers know where they can pick one of these up. I got mine through a drink exchange so I am not sure where to find them. Final Judgment - 8.9

OC Energy Kik It Drink Review

OC Energy Drink - Original

Cost Per Ounce:$NA
Active Ingredients:Caffine, Taurine, B-Vitamins, Ginseng
Taste Rating:8.8
Kick Rating:8.9
Final Judgment Rating:9.9
Energy Drink Ratings Explained

OC Energy Kik It Drink Review:
Well it has been way too long since I reviewed my last OC Energy Drink, so today I will review another one. The last one was the diet version. Today I will review the original 10.14 ounce OC Energy Drink which has 90 calories per serving and comes in a well designed plastic resealable bottle. The label on the drink states that the OC Energy Drink can be used as a "stand alone or it can be used as the ultimate mixer." Well for today's review I will just judge the OC Energy Drink on the merits of a stand a lone Energy Drink. So let's see how it performs in the taste and kick categories.

Buy OC Energy Drinks Here

OC Energy Kik It Drink Review: Taste
Well the taste of the regular OC Energy Drink is quite similar to that of the diet version. Now it has been several weeks since I tried the diet, but the taste is quite unique so it is hard to forget. The best way to describe this one is by saying it has a distinct lime aftertaste. There is no carbonation so it does go down pretty smooth. I am not going to try this one out as a mixer, but since the taste is eerily the same as the diet, I would like to add that the original OC Energy Drink would make for a good mixer as the diet one did. Here is the recipe I used for the diet mixer:

GO GO Stoli Doli
1 can Dole pineapple
2 cups vodka
1 bottle Diet OC Kik It

No carbonation and a pretty good lime aftertaste. Not too shabby. Taste Rating - 8.8

OC Energy Kik It Drink Review: Kick
So we have established that it can be a good mixer and that it has a pretty good taste, but how will it fare in the kick rating? Well the energy ingredient list includes the following: Taurine, Caffeine, Panax Ginseng, Guarana and a bunch of b-vitamins. So the list is not too shabby and neither is the effect. It was definitely stronger than market leader Red Bull, but it is not the strongest energy drink on the market. Overall the kick was above average and probably lasted a couple hours. Kick Rating - 8.9

OC Energy Kik It Drink Review: Final Judgment
Well this has been the second OC Energy Drink that I have tried and I have enjoyed both so far. The diet and original taste pretty much identical and offer the same kick. With those stats I would opt for the diet to save 90 calories, but that's just me. They also make for pretty good mixers and I believe the site offers a couple drink recipes. Other than that stay tuned for the 2 ounce OC shot review! Final Judgment - 8.9

Hi-Ball Wild Berry Energy Drink Review

Hi-Ball Energy Drink - Wild Berry
Cost:$
Cost Per Ounce:$
Active Ingredients:Caffeine, Taurine, Guarana Extract
Taste Rating:8.2
Kick Rating:8.0
Final Judgment Rating:8.1
Energy Drink Ratings Explained

Energy Drink Review:
Well it has been quite some time since I last reviewed a Hi-Ball Energy Drink so it is time to try another flavor. The Hi-Ball lineup is designed as a energy mixer that is supposed to give a little extra kick to your normal cocktail. It comes in 6 flavors, Original, Club Soda, Grapefruit, Lemon Lime, Wild Berry and Orange. Today I will be reviewing the Wild Berry flavor. Now I have to admit, these types of Energy Drinks are not ones that I would usually buy as the product and flavors are designed for a different crowd. Sure I like mix drinks, but the drinks I usually have are not tonic based. But, to each his own.

Energy Drink Review: Taste
As I stated above, I am not fond of sparkling water, but I have to say that with only 10 calories and a distinct wild berry flavor, this would make a great cocktail mixer, especially if you like sparkling water. Not liking sparkling waters might bias my review so I had someone else try it and let me know there thoughts. Turns out it tastes like sparkling water with a hint of berry flavoring, just like any other berry flavored sparkling water they had tried. Sorry, that's all I can say about the taste. Taste Rating - 8.0

Energy Drink Review: Kick
So my taste rating is not the most helpful, but maybe I can help with the kick rating. The energy ingredients include; 1250 milligrams of taurine, 32 milligrams of Guarana, 75 milligrams of Caffeine (natural), 32 milligrams of Ginseng and B-Vitamins. So the energy ingredients are in abundance and are more than enough to give a nice kick to your ordinary cocktail. These ingredients will give more of a kick to your cocktail then a Red Bull, so don't have too many or you will be jumping off the walls! 8.0

Energy Drink Review: Final Judgment
If you like sparkling water or use it as a mixer than trying out the Hi-Ball lineup to add a little more kick is well worth it. You can pick them up at Albertsons, Safeway & Whole Foods. Final Judgment - 8.0

Zenedge Lemon Lime Energy Shot Review

Cost: $2.99
Cost Per Ounce:$1.50
Active Ingredients:Caffeine, Taurine, B-Vitamins
Taste Rating:8.8
Kick Rating:8.5
Final Judgment Rating:8.6
Energy Drink Ratings Explained

Zenedge Lemon Lime Energy Shot Review:
I previously reviewed the original Zenedge Energy Drink and I have to say I was quite pleased and really looked forward to trying out the Zenedge Shooters (shots). The shots come in two flavors berry and lemon lime which I will be reviewing today. The 2 ounce shot's package is really quite unique and dresses up the product quite well. Other than that I don't know too much about the company besides that I enjoyed their first Energy Drink. So let's see if they can go two for two!

Buy Zenedge Shooters Here!

Zenedge Lemon Lime Energy Shot Review: Taste
Well the 2 ounce lemon lime shooter from Zenedge is sugar free and only has 15 calories. If you have read any of my other energy shot reviews you may have heard me gripe about the flavor of some of them. The reason being is that they make the shots super powerful, yet forget about the taste quality. Sure, they are usually only 2 ounces or less, but taste still matters. Which is why I was quite pleased with the lemon lime shot from Zenedge. No medicinal aftertaste - HUGE Quality - in an energy shot. Other than that it has a initial lemon taste followed up by a nice lime flavor. Says that right on the bottle. I liked it. Nuff said. Taste Rating - 8.8

Zenedge Lemon Lime Energy Shot Review: Kick
Well the taste was pleasing, but did they Zenedge sacrifice the kick in order to get a good taste? Well with energy ingredients like 80 milligrams of caffeine, taurine and a ton, I mean ton of b-vitamins you can bet you will get a good kick from this shot. The best part?? No sugar so no crash. All that energy packed into a tiny 2 ounce bottle, not too shabby. Kick Rating 8.5

Zenedge Lemon Lime Energy Shot Review: Final Judgment
Cool packaging, great taste, good kick, only 15 calories and it's sugar free! What's not too like about the Zenedge lemon lime shooter? The best part is probably not having to choke down 2 ounces of medicine. When they say lemon lime on the bottle, that is the flavor you get! So if you see this at your local C-Store pick one up and give it a try. Final Judgment - 8.6

FRS Energy Drink Review - Orange

FRS Energy Drinks - Low Cal Orange
Cost: $2.59
Cost Per Ounce:$0.23
Active Ingredients:Green Tea Extract, Caffeine, Quercetin, B-Vitamin
Taste Rating:8.4
Kick Rating:8.9
Final Judgment Rating:8.8
Energy Drink Ratings Explained

FRS Energy Drink Review - Orange
Well this would be me third review of the FRS Energy Drinks line up. I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed the benefits of the last two so I am looking forward to trying the Orange flavored FRS Energy Drink. Here is a little background in case you have not read the other two reviews yet. FRS drinks are being promoted as a healthy alternative to your normal everyday Energy Drinks as they contain flavonoids, vitamins and antioxidants. So what does FRS actually mean? Well FRS or Free Radical Scavengers are were the multitude of antioxidants present in this drink come into play. The antioxidants come from quercetin, which supply the same amount of antioxidant benefits as 8 servings of red onions. FRS also promotes itself as a helpful weight management supplement. Green tea catechins are supposed to help with weight management by increasing your metabolic rate which is where the weight management comes into play. So enough fluff, let's see how it holds up in the taste and kick categories.

FRS Energy Drink Review - Orange: Taste
FRS Energy Drinks comes in 5 different flavors (Orange, Lemon Lime, Peach Mango - Low Cal, Orange - Low Cal, Wild Berry - Low Cal), of which I am reviewing the Low calorie (25 calories) orange flavor today. All five of these flavors come in a 11.5 ounce slim can that is non-carbonated. So how does it taste already... Well the orange flavor is quite strong and there is a noticeable green tea taste as well. This sounds like it would be a bad combination but it is pulled off quite nicely. Don't get me wrong, it does have a slight bitter aftertaste, but in my mind the extra health benefits discussed above by far outweigh this slight bitter taste. Combine that with only 25 calories in the entire can and you have a great drink! Taste Rating - 8.4

FRS Energy Drink Review - Orange: Kick
So the taste is not too bad, especially considering all the health benefits. But how is the kick? Well the energy ingredients in the orange FRS are the same as all the others which include green tea extract (85 milligrams), caffeine and b-vitamins. Now the kick is not immediate, but within 15 minutes I could tell I had some extra juice in my system. The best part about the FRS Energy Drinks is not the initial boost, it is the sustained energy that you get coupled with no crash. Add the metabolic benefits and you have a good tasting drink that provides a sustained kick. Not bad at all. Kick Rating - 8.9

FRS Energy Drink Review - Orange: Final Judgment
Good kick, above average flavor, low calories and excellent health benefits. What more could you ask for? How about a Free two week trial. That's right you can get a free two week trial that includes 2 low calorie ready to drink cans, soft chews, low calorie packets and a low calorie concentrate which amounts to a 14 day supply of sustained energy and metabolic boosters. I believe you have to pay the $5.99 shipping cost, but when you figure that the drink itself costs $2.59 it is not that bad of a deal. Final Judgment - 8.8

ZizZazZ Cherry Lime Energy Drink Review

Zizzazz Cherry Lime Energy Packets

Cost Per Ounce:Does Not Apply

Taste Rating:8.8
Kick Rating:8.7
Final Judgment Rating:8.8
Energy Drink Ratings Explained

ZizZazZ Cherry Lime Energy Drink Review:
Well this is one of those Energy Drinks that come in powder form. However, ZizZazZ Cherry Lime is marketed at a different crowd. There is no multi-level marketing here and it is not marketed strictly at the health industry. What's special about Zizzazz? Well, you can either add the powder to your favorite beverage, or you can eat it straight from the .25 ounce packet. Nof for the purpose of this review, I am going to mix Zizzazz with water. However, they do have 3 other flavors besides Cherry Lime including, Lemon Razz, Pom Mango and Tangerine Tango which I will eventually review. So enough fluff, let's see how this product fares in the taste and kick categories!

ZizZazZ Cherry Lime Energy Drink Review: Taste
Well first off as I stated above, I am going to mix the Cherry Lime with 10 ounces if water. This way I can pinpoint the flavor as opposed to adding it to a carbonated beverage like 7-Up. I would also like to add that when mixing the .25 ounce packet with water, it blended very well which is a definite plus as the last thing you want to do when consuming is inhale little bits of powder when you are not expecting it. So back to the taste..... It's actually probably the best flavored energy powder that I have had to date. The initial cherry flavor is great and is complimented with a hint of lime. Very good for only having 20 calories and one gram of sugar. Taste Rating - 8.8

ZizZazZ Cherry Lime Energy Drink Review: Kick
So the cherry lime flavor blends well, but how will Zizzazz perform in the kick rating? Well the energy ingredients include Caffeine, Green Tea Extract (natural caffeine), B-Vitamins, Taurine, and Ginseng. Wow, all those energy ingredients did provided a pretty decent kick that lasted several hours. To top it off there was no crash, and no worry about a crash as the Zizzazz powder only has 1 gram of sugar. For being such a small packet, I was definitely happy with the kick I received. Kick Rating - 8.7

ZizZazZ Cherry Lime Energy Drink Review: Final Judgment
A great taste and a good kick in a tiny .25 ounce packet that only has 20 calories and one gram of sugar. I can't wait to try the other flavors and try this product as a standalone (no mixing). All this for about $1.50 a packet, and cheaper if you buy in bulk. So stay tuned for the review of the other flavors Lemon Razz, Pom Mango and Tangerine Tango. Final Judgment - 8.8

Hydrive X - Triple Berry Energy Drink Review

Hydrive X - Triple Berry Energy Drink Review
Well I reviewed one of the 3 new flavors from Hydrive Energy Drinks just last week and I was more than pleased. Since, I loved the Hydrive V so much I thought I would try another one of their newer flavors, the Hydrive X - Triple Berry. In case you have not heard of Hydrive before here is a little background information. They have 7 flavors total now including the new flavors; Hydrive X - Triple Berry, Hyrdrive E - Lemon Lime and Hydrive V - Citrus Burst as well as four older flavors including Dragonfruit, Pomegranite, Acai Berry and Casaba Lime. All of the flavors come in a slim 15.5 ounce plastic resealable bottle, have only 30 calories total and are made with fresh spring water. The new flavors are all nutritionally enhanced with either vitamins, antioxidants or electrolytes. So enough background and onto the review of Hydrive X -Triple Berry.

Official Site: Hydrive Energy

Hydrive X - Triple Berry Energy Drink Review: Taste
Even though I have enjoyed all five previous flavors from Hydrive, I was a little apprehensive about this one as it comes packed with Antioxidants including EGCG, Polyphenols, Gingko Biloba, Selenium, Zinc, and Grape Seed Extract. Sometimes when Energy Drinks focus too much on health aspects they lose site of making sure the drink has a good taste. Fortunately for use, Hydrive paid attention in both categories and created yet another refreshing drink with a great berry taste that does not taste artificially flavored. The only antioxidant ingredient that might be somewhat noticeable is the Grape Seed Extract but I could be wrong. Either way the blend is fabulous, especially for only 30 calories (only 6 grams of sugar). Taste Rating - 8.6

Hydrive X - Triple Berry Energy Drink Review: Kick
The low cal / low sugar berry taste is quite refreshing, yet will it provide that pick me up you are looking for? With 145 milligrams of caffeine (almost 2 Red Bull's), taurine and b-vitamins the kick is definitely noticeable. It may not be the strongest drink on the market, but it a stronger than your average Red Bull. Only 6 grams of sugar means you are not going to experience a nasty sugar crash either. Ample energy ingredients and a refreshing taste make this one worth a try. Kick Rating - 8.3

Hydrive X - Triple Berry Energy Drink Review: Final Judgment
The refreshing taste, ample kick and antioxidant benefits make this a strong choice if you are looking for a healthier alternative to your normal everyday sugar laden energy beverage. And for $1.99 it is definitely worth a try. If berry is not your flavor than try one of their other 6 flavors, you should find one you can enjoy! Final Judgment - 8.5
