Pit Bull Energy Drink Review:
Although it seems that Pit Bull has been around for awhile I only recently heard about it. To me it sounded like a knock off of Red Bull, but then most energy drinks tend to be. The only way to see is to put this dog to the test. I am going to review the 8.4 ounce regular Pit Bull. This also comes in sugar free and in a 16 ounce version.

Pit Bull Energy Drink Review: Taste
At first I was expecting this to taste like Red Bull with a substantial medicinal aftertaste from all the energy ingredients. I was actually expecting even more of a medicinal aftertaste than Red Bull because there are even more energy ingredients in Pit Bull than Red Bull. Turns out I was quite wrong! This has a refreshing lemon lime flavor that tastes similar to Mountain Dew MDX. Combine this with the almost non existent medicinal aftertaste and Pit Bull gets a nice 7.9 for a taste rating.

Pit Bull Energy Drink Review: Kick
Tastes slightly better than Red Bull but does it have a good kick. Surprisingly again this drink tops industry leader Red Bull. I don’t know if it is the additional Guarana and Ginseng extract in here or what but this drink does give you a surprising kick! I would say the effects lasted a good three to four hours so this beverage will get a decent kick rating of 8.2, slightly better than Red Bull.

Pit Bull Energy Drink Review: Final Judgment
It tastes slightly better than Red Bull, provides more of a kick and is cheaper. The only downfall to this product is that it is a little harder to come by. If it is in your area, I would consider it a nice alternative to Red Bull and I will give a final judgment of 8.1.

Hair of the Dog Energy Drink Review:
A drink that is supposed to help with hangovers? Is this too good to be true? How is it going to taste? Well the only way to find out was to buy a couple of the 8.4 ounce Hair of the Dog energy drinks and put them to the test.

Hair of the Dog Energy Drink Review: Taste
Since it is supposed to help with hangovers I had to purchase a couple of these; one to try on its own and two to mix with some vodka. On its own the fruit punch mix was nothing special. You could taste some of the energy ingredients but it was not too bad. The medicinal taste was minimal. Mixing these drinks was quite pleasurable (as it usually is when you mix drinks). The vodka killed the medicinal drink taste and having this drink on ice definitely helped. Overall the Hair of the Dog review for taste gets a pleasant 7 on its own and an 8 when mixed.

This beverage has a decent kick on its own, but it is nothing worth bragging about. A couple hours of extra energy was gained from the mixture of caffeine and Guarana. Enough for me to stay out until bar close and have one last Hair of the Dog mixer before leaving. This drink gets a mediocre 7 for kick. The question is, will I wake up with a hangover in the morning.

Well I believe I had less of a hangover than usual, but I can’t be sure. There a little nausea present when I woke up in the morning, but less than usual. Hair of the Dog is a great name for this drink, because the last drink I had before I left the bar did not leave me with a great taste in my mouth in the morning. When it comes to taste it is not that bad, I rather enjoyed the fruit punch flavor, but I was slightly disappointed with the kick I got. Final judgment for this drink is a 7.7, it got a little extra boost for the mix ability factor and the relief it provided from my normal hangover.

SoBe Adrenaline Rush Energy Drink Review:
I previously reviewed the great tasting, decent kicking No Fear SoBe Energy Drink and I liked the taste so I thought I would give Adrenaline Rush a try. The only thing I am hoping will be better than No Fear is the kick. Let’s find out.

SoBe Adrenaline Rush Energy Drink Review: Taste
Right off the bat I was pleased with the taste of this beverage. This Sobe Energy drink tastes excellent, even if it is a passion fruit flavor. It is definitely on par, if not even a little better than the No Fear SoBe Energy Drink. The best thing about it is there is really no aftertaste at all. I can not find the slightest hint of any medicinal taste which is good. Hooray for Sobe Adrenaline, it's about time somebody hid the horrible energy drink ingredient flavors. Taste rating gets a nice 9.2, slightly better than No Fear.

This one does not have creatine in it like NO Fear, but it does come with the same surprising kick. The kick lasted a good four to five hours, which is great especially since there were no jitter effects. The main ingredients for energy seem to be caffeine and Guarana. When combining these you get some pretty good kick. At least enough to warrant an 8.5 for the kick rating.

SoBe Adrenaline Rush Energy Drink: Final Judgment
Tastes great, no medicinal aftertaste and gives off a fairly decent kick. You can buy them almost anywhere. Find them online and you can save a bunch of money by ordering in bulk. Even at the grocery store you can find them in 4-packs. Other wise they cost the same as any other energy drink out there, $1.99 at least you get 16 ounces with this one. Final judgment, not as good as the No Fear SoBe Energy Drink but close. I will give it a pleasing 8.6.

Sum Poosie Energy Drink Review
I heard about this Sumpussi Energy drink through the grapevine and I could not pass up trying it. The name alone is hillarious. Although the Sumpussi Energy drink has been around for awhile, they originally had a 12 ounce bottle for sale, they are trying to rebrand the beverage so it has a "cleaner image." What's wrong with the image of Sumpussi? Well enough joking around and onto the review.

Now that Sum Poosie actually looks like an energy drink, i.e. it comes in a 16 ounce aluminum can it can be taken more seriously. Right? This carbonated beverage comes in a sweet berry flavor. Along with the carbonation comes little to no medicinal taste, which is great if you want a smooth tasting drink. Also the carbonation factor makes this a great mixing drink. Mixing this with your favorite drink, vodka or another clear alcohol would present you with a rather fruity tasting beverage. Not something you would drink all night, but you could be seen drinking one or two of them and not be known as Sum Poosie. All in all this berry flavored, carbonated energy drink tastes pretty good and is on par with the Tilt Energy Drink, so I will give it a above average rating for taste of 8.0.

Taking the name into account this beverage actually provides a pretty decent kick. I would have to say that the kick lasted several hours, but it did come with a tiny crash, but nothing too noticeable. Hey, if you don't stop drinking them you will never have to experience the crash. Right? Overall in the kick category, the Sum Poosie energy drink gets an average 7.0.

Alright, the name of the beverage in itself is a conversation starter, it tastes pretty damn good and the kick is beneficial. The only thing holding me back from recommending this to every one is the price of $3.00 for 16 ounces. But if your out for a good time, or a good laugh try this beverage, the price tag is probably worth it. Final judgment is 7.5, please lower the price!
